Whistleblower Josh Dean of Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems has died

Joshua Dean, a former quality auditor at Boeing supplier Spirit AeroSystems and one of the first whistleblowers to allege Spirit leadership had ignored manufacturing defects on the 737 MAX, died Tuesday morning after a struggle with a sudden, fast-spreading infection.

Known as Josh, Dean lived in Wichita, Kan., where Spirit is based. He was 45, had been in good health and was noted for having a healthy lifestyle.

He died after two weeks in critical condition, his aunt Carol Parsons said.

Spirit spokesperson Joe Buccino said: “Our thoughts are with Josh Dean’s family. This sudden loss is stunning news here and for his loved ones.”

Dean had given a deposition in a Spirit shareholder lawsuit and also filed a complaint with the Federal Aviation Administration alleging “serious and gross misconduct by senior quality management of the 737 production line” at Spirit.

Spirit fired Dean in April 2023, and he had filed a complaint with the Department of Labor alleging his termination was in retaliation for raising concerns related to aviation safety.

The Trump Media and Technology Group alleged Wednesday that the company's stock may be being manipulated and requested congressional action.

Devin Nunes, CEO of the Trump Media & Technology Group, wrote a letter to prominent members of Congress, including House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, that stated there have been "ongoing anomalies in DJT trading."

The Trump Media and Technology Group trades on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange under the ticker “DJT.”

"DJT has continuously remained on Nasdaq’s Reg SHO Threshold List since April 2, 2024," the letter reads. "An appearance on the threshold list results from persistent settlement failures, and triggers a heightened responsibilities for market participants. For threshold securities such as DJT, SEC guidance clearly states that the only way to establish 'reasonable grounds' for short sales is if the broker-dealer pre-borrows the securities; moreover, 'a broker-dealer may not re-apply a locate for intraday buy to cover trades.'”

Count Binface has unveiled his manifesto for the London Mayoral election, including a pledge to force Thames Water bosses to "take a dip in the Thames" to "see how they like it".

The satirical political candidate announced 24 policies ahead of the vote on May 2 in a post on X on Monday.

In the manifesto, Binface vowed to "build at least one affordable house", ban "loud snacks" from theatres and demolish the Millennium Dome to make way for a nature reserve.

Shops will also be banned from selling croissants for more than £1.10 - a repetition of a commitment made by Binface at the last Mayoral election in 2021.

London Bridge will be named after actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Ceefax will be brought back, Binface said.

The manifesto also contains a commitment to use a windfall tax on oil companies to pay for a new electric car for every Londoner who cannot afford a Ulez-compliant vehicle.

Last week, the Standard revealed that sewage flowed into London’s rivers for almost 10,000 hours in 2023 - up significantly from the nearly 7,000 hours reported the year before.

Binface, created by comedian Jonathan Harvey, first ran for office as a candidate for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in the 2019 general election against former Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

Harvey was also the creator of Lord Buckethead, a satirical candidate who picked up 249 votes when running for MP in Theresa May's Maidenhead constituency in the 2017 general election.

Binface, who describes himself as an "intergalactic space warrior", told the BBC last month that he would run against Labour candidate Sadiq Khan and Tory candidate Susan Hall to "bring some much needed sanity to local government".

"Despite all the flaws of the British democratic system, isn't it remarkable that there is still this wonderful quirk that if you want to dress up like an idiot and stand next to the prime minister of the day, then you can," he said.

"When democracy is under so much strain, I think this needs celebrating and defending."

Mr Khan is on course for a landslide re-election and third term as Mayor, according to the most recent polls.

Conflicted Judge Merchan issued a gag order on Tuesday, preventing President Trump from speaking about his trial, which is taking place just months before November’s election. It should come as no surprise that Judge Merchan is a willing participant in the Left’s election interference. Tuesday was the latest example of how far the Left will go to “get Trump” before November’s election.

Loomer wrote on Tuesday’s gag order news, “Today Judge Juan Merchan has ordered President Trump to pay a $9,000 fine to the court for ‘contempt‘ by Friday, May 3, 2024 for ‘violating his gag order‘.Merchan has also ordered both President Trump and his campaign to delete 9 Truth Social posts in total (7 from President Trump’s personal Truth social account and 2 from the campaign Truth Social account) by 2:15 pm EST today, April 30, 2024. In response to the gag order, President Trump posted on TruthSocial, “This Judge has taken away my Constitutional Right to FREE SPEECH. I am the only Presidential Candidate in History to be GAGGED. Judge Merchan’s lawless behavior should come as no shock. Loomer previously reported that screenshots show Judge Merchan’s daughter, Loren, has an X account that reshared a photo of her speaking at an Authentic Campaigns event, an organization she is part-owner of. A zoomed-in photo shows Merchan’s @LorenM426 handle flashing behind her on the podium. An X post from Authentic Campaigns on January 9th, 2020, stated that Authentic Campaigns was “excited to announce that Loren Merchan is being named partner and part-owner of Authentic Campaigns.” Loren Merchan’s X account, @LorenM426, shared this announcement.

Authentic Campaigns’ website lists the Biden-Harris campaign as its “Featured Client.” Other clients of Authentic Campaigns include Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Rep. Ilhan Omar, Governor Gavin Newsom, Adam Schiff, and the Wisconsin Democratic Party.

Judge Merchan’s decision to silence President Trump just months before the election proves Democrats are determined to throw the kitchen sink at President Trump in hopes of creating enough chaos to keep Biden in power.
