“I don’t care if we have the entire United States Army here in the city of Memphis. If we continue to see the same individuals committing crimes, you know, arresting our way out of this isn’t possible,” Davis told Action News 5 when talking about the chaos unfolding and repeat offenders.

You know things are bad when the police chief doesn’t think the Army – the greatest in world history – can fix the issue.

For the record, sending in the troops might be an actual option on the table. State Senator Brent Taylor has floated that his constituents want the National Guard sent in and he’s asked Governor Bill Lee for state resources.

As you can tell by Davis’ comments, she doesn’t seem too happy about people not sitting behind bars for extended periods of time, but that’s only part of the issue.

You can only go to prison AFTER a crime is committed. There is clearly zero deterrence in Memphis, and crime is rampant. Of course, it’s not a problem exclusive to Memphis.Washington D.C. is so bad that homicides are surging and Secret Service is shooting at carjackers.

There’s something broken in this country, and it seemingly is only getting worse.

You know, something just clicked into place. After my first attempt, one of the Bidens put out a video or something trying to convince people about the laptop about something; I can't remember, the young one, whatever her name is. All the law-abiding citizen can do is pray that they don’t use weapons and escalate their crimes even more.

But with judges letting more criminals go free, and district attorneys and prosecutors seeking reelection by lowering bail or outlawing it altogether, of course crime is going to go up.

Customers are also seeing that the fight has gone from your local bar brawls to not stores, as security are being overwhelmed and employees hands are tied as their companies are restricting them from fighting back to stop shoplifters.

If this continues, don’t be surprised as more stores continue to close their doors and leave cities altogether. I mean heck, even Wawa had to leave some areas of Philadelphia as it continues to spiral out of control!

Meanwhile, what’s also going to happen is the average customer is going to become so frustrated with having to find an employee to unlock the glass just for some damn Crest Mint Toothpaste that they’re going to buy it online, also hurting the local economy and local jobs.

That is if the Amazon trucks don’t get robbed first.

Most of the stealing is done by blacks and illegal aliens.

Mike Johnson to release 40,000 hours of Jan. 6 footage

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) on Friday announced the public release of more than 40,000 hours of Capitol security footage from Jan. 6, 2021.

Why it matters: The move meets a key demand of the Republicans' right flank as conservatives simmer at Johnson for passing a stopgap spending bill along bipartisan lines.

What they're saying: "Today, we will begin immediately posting video on a public website and move as quickly as possible to add to the website nearly all of the footage, more than 40,000 hours," Johnson said.

Johnson said the decision will "provide millions of Americans, criminal defendants, public interest organizations, and the media an ability to see for themselves what happened that day, rather than having to rely upon the interpretation of a small group of government officials."

Private citizens' faces will be blurred to "avoid any persons from being targeted for retaliation," Johnson said.

The details: Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), the chair of the House Administration Committee's oversight subcommittee, which oversees the footage, said the footage will be available on a page on the panel's website.

After the initial tranche of around 90 hours of footage, the panel "will continue to populate the viewing room with additional footage for public view," Loudermilk said in a statement.

Johnson's office said the remaining footage will be posted in waves over the next several months.

Stacey Abrams’ brother-in-law arrested in Tampa for human trafficking, attacking teen: police

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The brother-in-law of former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, who was once exonerated of sexually assaulting two women, is back behind bars over allegations of human trafficking, according to Tampa authorities.

Tampa police said they arrested Jimmie Gardner, 57, Friday for allegedly engaging in sexual acts with a 16-year-old girl.

A release from the Tampa Police Department stated Gardner met the minor at 1:43 a.m. and invited her to his room at the Renaissance Hotel at International Plaza.

The girl accepted his invitation, and when she got there, he allegedly offered her money for sex, police said.

“The victim initially agreed but later told Gardner that she no longer wanted to engage and he became angry,” the release said. “Gardner advised the victim that she needed to leave his hotel room. The two got involved in a verbal altercation that escalated to a physical dispute

after Gardner placed his hands around the victim’s neck, impeding her breathing. After the dispute, Gardner left the hotel room, and the victim called 911.”

When officers arrived, Gardner had already left the hotel, but they found the victim at the scene, according to police.

Meanwhile, police said Gardner reported to the Tampa Police District 1 Office. He was arrested on charges of human trafficking for commercial sexual activity (victim less than 18), lewd or lascivious touching of minor 16 or 17 years of age by person 24 years of age or older, and a misdemeanor count of battery.

According to the Office of the State Attorney of the 13th Judicial Circuit, Gardner was previously convicted in 1987 for the sexual assault of two women in West Virginia, but he was exonerated in 2016, 27 years later. Two years after his release, he married federal judge Leslie Abrams Gardner.

“Everyone is entitled to the presumption of innocence. Our attorneys will prosecute this case as we would any other offender who is alleged to have committed these crimes. We take these charges very seriously,” State Attorney Suzy Lopez said.

Officials said Gardner, who was once drafted by the Chicago Cubs in 1984, now “works as a motivational speaker and emotional intelligence trainer for students and people who were formerly incarcerated” in Georgia.
