Not sure what you mean. Streetlamp info is useful in that if lamps are turning on it places the Piccadilly Station pics at very end of day before 4pm (sunset) and sequentially after the RED BUS pic which seems taken in the afternoon (per shadows). If the PS pics are same day as RB pic then the reason for the RB pic is possibly to document pedestrian person(s) en route to PS only a hundred or so feet away, possibly to meet someone there.

I remember recommending we take a look at the building lights patterns on the South bank (ala Millbank building light pattern) but I think we were distracted by our investigatory focus at the time. It’s a worthwhile look imho. I think anon had mentioned that the hospital window lights pattern could be problematic as hospitals are open 24hrs. I kind of agree but feel one should always look anyway. Wrwy. Good luck.

In the view toward Coventry Street there's a sea of people dressed as Santa Claus in the foreground by the Piccadilly Circus statue.
Maybe I missed a detail, however, I have not spotted roller skates on any Santa Claus but the timing of their assembly appears to accord with later Santa skating events. This could be a precursor to that or a different vent altogether, IDK.
The moon in the sky? Can Anons confirm this is where the moon could have appeared 12-DEC-2011? Full moon? Haven't noticed such a view in other years with open sources. Have you? Could this "moon" be something else? I suppose this might be more of a curiousity than a feature that can help date the Q pics.

Well, it definitely could not be the Moon, assuming that vid is around sunset. Why? The camera is facing almost due West. The moon, which is nearly full btw, would have just barely risen at 5:51pm- well after sunset.
HOWEVER, the moon was in the West that MORNING. Any possibility the vid is early morning? Well, my simulation started 12DEC11 and ended morning of 13DEC11. But the location would be similar to the day before.

Unfortunately, to look at exact percentage of moonphase, Mooncalc.org only goes back to 2014. But moon does appear close to full in NightSky sim. For what it’s worth.
Have not seen orig vid you snipped. If it is evening twilight then, no, it is not the moon. If morning, then yes likely moon.

Again, if it is the Moon then the vidcap was taken in the morning, because we are facing West and the Moon would not reach that direction until morning before setting in the West. Reminder: Both the Sun and Moon generally rise in the East and set in the West.

Good obs. To add, neither do we see any, at all, skates slung around the Santas’ necks or across their shoulders or in hand prior to “skating up”. My guess is this was not a skating event.

There are cuts in the video. If these were added after recording (one is a cutaway to a field of snow) then prolly two days I think. The segment that shows the sea of Santas looks too bright to be evening. The subsequent segment that shows the "moon" also includes street lamps lit up, busses on route with lights on, and a crowd (lhin) at the entrance to the Tube by Ripley's. The adverts around statue are also lit up. So could be morning. How early do ya think? 7:50-8:00AM mayube (as per one of pics of calc)?

The hack targeted a payroll system used by the Ministry of Defence, which includes names and bank details of both current and some past armed forces members.
In a very small number of cases, the data may include personal addresses.
It is unknown who is behind the hack or what the data may be used for.
The data, described as "personal HMRC-style information", relates to current and former members of the Royal Navy, Army and Air Force over a period of several years.
The system was managed by an external contractor and no operational MoD data has been obtained.
It is understood the MoD has taken immediate action and the system has been taken off-line, while investigations are under way.
The MoD is in the process of notifying and providing support and advice to those affected, including making veterans' organisations aware of what has happened.
Defence Secretary Grant Shapps is due to update MPs about the hack in the Commons on Tuesday.
He is expected to set out a "multi-point plan" in response, which will include action to protect affected service men and women.
While it has not been disclosed who is behind this hack, it comes amid increased warnings about cyber-security threats facing the UK from hostile states and third parties.
Last year, the government published an updated version of its long-term defence strategy which said the use of "commercial spyware, ransomware and offensive cyber capabilities by state and non-state actors has proliferated".
In March, the government publicly accused China of being behind an August 2021 hack targeting the details of millions of voters held by the Electoral Commission.
In December 2023, the National Cyber Security Centre said Russian intelligence was behind a "malicious cyber activity attempting to interfere in UK politics and democratic processes".
Public institutions and private firms have also been targeted by hackers demanding ransoms.
The Metropolitan Police said it is not involved in any investigation at this stage.
