Gaetz To Introduce Legislation To Combat ‘Widespread Abuse’ Of National Security Clearances

Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz will introduce legislation Thursday morning that would, among other things, prevent individuals from publicly disclosing whether they have a national security clearance.

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the bill, which is titled the “Security Clearance Revolving Door Act of 2023.” The legislation would classify the act of publicly disclosing a national security clearance as a federal misdemeanor, with a penalty of up to a year in prison and up to a $1,000 fine per offense.

“The American people know that the Deep State primarily exists because of the widespread abuse of national security clearances by people who were trusted to act in the interests of our country. The national security state has been weaponized against Americans to control and influence their political beliefs, especially if they align with President Donald Trump,” Gaetz told the Caller before introducing the legislation.

“Fifty-one former intelligence officers plotted and executed a plan with the Obama administration to suppress the source of information that proved corruption between Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, and foreign business partners in Ukraine and China. These intel officers used their national security clearances as the imprimatur of legitimacy for their lies in order to influence the 2020 presidential election,” he continued, referring to a 2020 letter in which ex-intelligence officials declared that Hunter Biden’s laptop had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

“In order to ensure that this never happens again, we must pass the Security Clearance Revolving Door Act,” Gaetz added.

FBI, DOJ Officials Were ‘Openly Mocking’ Congressional Inquiries Into Hunter Biden Investigation, Memo Alleges

Officials from the FBI and the Department of Justice (DOJ) were “openly mocking” congressional inquiries about the Hunter Biden investigation into his taxes and firearms possession, a newly released IRS memo alleges.

IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley wrote a memo in December 2020 outlining the Hunter Biden investigation and potential obstacles to gathering additional evidence. One of those obstacles was the U.S. Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Delaware and the FBI allegedly ignoring congressional requests and “openly mocking” the lawmakers who sent the requests, Shapley said in the memo.

“The FBI is a participating agency that is forcing decisions upon IRS-CI even though the only viable charges are currently tax charges. The assigned AUSA does not allow dissenting opinion without verbal admonishment,” Shapley’s memo reads.

“The USAO and FBI received congressional inquiries concerning this investigation and have repeatedly ignored their requests, openly mocking the members of congress who made the requests. It appears that someone at DOJ leaked information to the media after our day of action,” the IRS agent added.

He states in the memo that the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office (USADE) prevented investigators from carrying out a search warrant on Hunter Biden’s Virginia storage unit. The USADE did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment by the time of publication.

Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, the lead prosecutor in the Hunter Biden investigation, wrote a letter to Republican South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham in July denying Shapley’s accusations. Internal DOJ emails obtained by the Heritage Foundation indicate Weiss’ letter potentially violated DOJ policy on responding to congressional inquiries about the case.

Shapley and a retired FBI agent involved with the Hunter Biden case testified that the Joe Biden presidential transition team was tipped off to plans to interview Hunter Biden at his California residence Dec. 8, 2020. The Hunter Biden interview ended up not happening after investigators waited outside his residence, according to FBI communications.

The IRS whistleblower wrote a similar memo in May 2021 laying out potential “campaign finance criminal violations” and how they were allegedly ignored by Delaware U.S. Attorney Lesley Wolf. Shapley and IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler accused Wolf of stonewalling search warrants and tipping off Hunter Biden’s defense counsel during the investigation. Shapley’s December 2020 memo described how the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s Office allegedly prevented investigators from carrying out a search warrant on Hunter Biden’s northern Virginia storage unit. Internal emails confirm Wolf prevented federal agents from investigating Joe Biden.

The campaign finance issue Shapley identified was connected to Hollywood attorney Kevin Morris’ alleged payment of roughly $2 million of Hunter Biden’s overdue taxes, Shapley testified to the House Ways and Means Committee in May. Hunter Biden’s failed guilty plea with the DOJ confirms Biden had roughly $2 million of taxes paid off by a third party without naming the individual.

The New York Times, the New York Post and other outlets have identified Morris as Biden’s financial benefactor. Morris is also helping pay Hunter Biden’s mounting legal bills as he struggles to find other financiers, according to CNN.

The House Ways and Means Committee released the IRS documents Sept. 27 as part of a trove of documents substantiating the testimony from IRS whistleblowers Shapley and Ziegler. Both whistleblowers accused DOJ officials of giving Hunter Biden special treatment during the investigation into his taxes and firearm possession. The Ways and Means, Judiciary and Oversight Committees are investigating the IRS whistleblower allegations.

Children as young as 5 to participate in 'National Coming Out Day' as part of LA elementary schools' 'Week of Action'

California schools routinely bombard children with LGBT propaganda. Just last month, Gov. Gavin Newsom ratified a law that will effectively penalize those school boards in the state that fail to do so.

Despite the suffusion of the curriculum with state-mandated non-straight agitprop, it appears the Los Angeles Unified School District's Board of Education is convinced that children as young as five could always benefit from more sexualization and confusion.

Internal documents obtained by City Journal revealed that from Oct. 9 to 13, LAUSD elementary schools will have kids participate in "National Coming Out Day" as part of a post-Pride Month "Week of Action."

The board provided teachers with a "toolkit" containing recommended classroom activities, such as a so-called identity map, prompting students to both engage "in discussions about identity" and learn about "intersectionality."

An example map shows a child's color-coded attempt to reduce her humanity to sexual preferences, race, body size, mental health, and ability.

Another example shows a human being's sense that she amounts to a rainbow, a map of Wisconsin, a pagan symbol, and signs that read "white silence is violence" and "black lives matter."

Teachers are asked to share students' maps with the district.

The Week of Action is apparently not limited to identitarian prompts. Each day, teachers are asked to celebrate a different LGBT icon in their morning announcements.

On Monday, teachers will celebrate Jared Jennings, the boy called "Jazz" whose parents sought to transition him at the age of five, then paraded him on television. Earlier this year, footage emerged wherein Jeanette Jennings, the victim's mother, admitted on camera to daily forcing her son to keep his groin wound fresh. In a separate tearful confession, Jennings has indicated, "I don't feel like me ever."

Following a celebration Tuesday of an HIV-positive transvestite suspected of killing himself, the board suggested that teachers extol Elliot Page in their morning announcements Wednesday. Page is a Canadian actress who made headlines for undergoing trans-conversion therapy and having her healthy breasts removed. Announcements on Thursday and Friday appear to be reserved for celebrations of WNBA athlete Layshia Clarendon, who claims to be nonbinary, and Carl Nassib, a gay NFL player.

Lessons for the week include "Introducing Gender" and "Gender Stereotyping" for K-2 students.

Sunny Hostin Forced To Read Legal Note After Saying Jim Jordan Was Linked To Sex Abuse

Sunny Hostin launched into a tirade against Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) after news broke that he was among the Republicans vying to become the next House speaker — a tirade that ended with her being forced to clarify with a legal note.

Hostin made the comments during Thursday’s broadcast of “The View,” referring to Jordan as a “political terrorist” (in former House Speaker John Boehner’s words) and claiming that he had been “linked” to a sex abuse scandal at Ohio State University.

The conversation began with the historic ouster of now ex-House Speaker Kevin McCarthy and then turned to the Republicans who hoped to replace him in the coming weeks.

“I will just say about Jim Jordan, you know, he has been called by his own party, by John Boehner, a political terrorist,” Hostin said. “He’s also been linked to the Ohio State sexual abuse scandal.”

“I testified in front of Congress about something so simple, cameras in courtrooms,” Hostin continued. “He came in late, he looked disheveled, and he immediately was screaming and yelling, and terrorized me and the other experts on the panel.”

Hostin went on to claim that “terrorist” was exactly the right word, calling Jordan a “chaos agent.”

“The thought of him being Speaker of the House I think leads to more chaos,” she said.

As the segment wrapped up, Hostin was directed to read a legal note clarifying her statement about Jordan – specifically that he said he did not know anything about the sex abuse scandal when he worked at Ohio State.

“I have a legal note,” she announced with a pained expression on her face. “Representative Jim Jordan has denied that he knew about the sexual abuse of wrestlers during his years working at Ohio State University.”

“Congressman Jordan never saw any abuse, never heard about any abuse, and never had any abuse reported to him during his time as a coach at Ohio State,” his office said in a 2018 statement.

Over 800 Israeli settlers storm Al-Aqsa compound during Jewish Sukkot holiday

More than 800 Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem on Thursday morning under the protection of Israeli forces.

Rabbis, heads of settlement associations, and far-right university lecturers were among 832 people who forced their way into the religious site compound, a source in the Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem told The New Arab's Arabic sister site Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

Israeli forces imposed severe restrictions on Muslim worshippers entering Al-Aqsa and those under 60 were prevented from accessing the site.

It comes during the Jewish religious holiday of Sukkot, which started on 29 September and ends on Friday. The holiday has seen thousands of Israeli extremists storm the Al-Aqsa compound, with almost 1,500 entering the site on Monday.

Israeli extremists also continued on Thursday to hold provocative marches both inside Jerusalem's Old City and outside its walls, attacking Palestinians and their property.

They also beat and spat at journalists in a market area near Al-Aqsa, where shops were forced to close for the sixth day in a row.

The Old City is home to Al-Aqsa as well as the Western Wall and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

The Al-Aqsa compound is the third holiest site in Islam and the most important Muslim place in Palestine.

Some Jews believe that the compound is the site of a Jewish temple believed to have existed there in ancient times.

Many Jewish extremists wish to either destroy the mosque and replace it with a temple or divide the site between Muslims and Jews in terms of time and space available.

While non-Muslims can visit the sacred site, prayer at Al-Aqsa is reserved for Muslims alone under the longstanding status quo agreement governing the compound.

The photo shows an FJCU representative posing with two Ukrainian soldiers whose t-shirts prominently display a logo: an eagle clutching a Ukrainian emblem. This symbol is reminiscent of the Oberkommando der Wehrmacht (OKW) emblem, which was the supreme military command for Nazi Germany during World War II. Founded in 1938, the OKW superseded the Reich Ministry of War, overseeing the army (Heer), navy (Kriegsmarine), and air force (Luftwaffe).

These soldiers are part of the Azov Assault Brigade, a unit that has garnered controversy for its alleged ties to neo-Nazi ideologies, far-right affiliations, and use of Nazi-related symbols. During the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the brigade notably defended Mariupol, particularly the Azovstal steel plant, until the Ukrainian high command ordered them to surrender.

Sources indicate that this photo was initially posted on FJCU's official platforms but was later removed. The Jerusalem Post sought clarification from the FJCU on this issue.

The FJCU emphasized the ongoing support from the Ukrainian military and appealed to the Post to highlight the efforts of their numerous volunteers, including Mr. Sinyakov.

"These volunteers assist in various ways, from aiding injured soldiers and conducting Torah lessons to providing psychological support. They also distribute essential kits and food packages tailored for Jewish needs. "Last month, we organized special packages for Rosh Hashanah and Sukkot, including provisions for the Jewish combatants. Moreover, 52,000 Jewish families nationwide benefited from this initiative."

An American Jewish tourist was arrested on Thursday after he allegedly vandalized and destroyed two ancient statues in the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. The man who was described to be in his 40s told the police that the statues were against the Torah. They were Roman statues from the second century and were part of the museum's regular exhibit.

The American's actions were detected by museum security guards who detained him and awaited the police. "This is an unusual incident," the museum said in a statement.

"One statue is a marble depiction of the goddess Athena that was found in excavations at Beit She'an in the 1960s. The second was of the mythological creature Griffin, who was the symbol of divinity in the Roman pagan era and found in the Negev," Eli Escusido, head of Israel Antiquities Authority said. "This is a shocking case of destruction of cultural heritage. We view with great concern the fact that religious extremists take such action," he said.

The final tragic moments of a grandfather and his three grandchildren who died in an horrific fireball when their plane plunged from the sky have been revealed.

Air traffic recordings captured the moment controllers realised something had gone terribly wrong with the light aircraft minutes after it took off from Canberra on Friday.

The experienced pilot, 65, was flying the four-seater Cirrus SR22 with his 11-year-old grandson and his two granddaughters, aged nine and six, on board alongside him on the 750km trip to Armidale in northern NSW.

The grandfather, from Bunya in Brisbane is said to have had hundreds of hours of flying experience. His grandchildren are reportedly from NSW.

The plane was registered to Up N Up Aviation, owned by Mike Cahill who is president of Redcliffe Aero Club in Brisbane. It's not clear who was piloting the 21-year-old plane at the time of the tragic accident.

It crashed minutes after takeoff, falling out the sky and smashing into the ground where it burst into flames near Lake George in the NSW Tablelands.

The single-engine aircraft, registration VH-MSF, exploded on impact at around 2.50pm. Police said there were no survivors, and formally identifying those killed could take weeks because of the severity of the tragedy.

Recordings of ATC radio transmission at the time of the crash reveal the increasingly desperate attempts by air traffic controllers to raise the pilot when they spotted his aircraft had vanished from their screens.
