8Bit on Baking Bread

In the earliest stages of this community, Q referred to his posts and informational hints as crumbs on a trail for those to find a way/connection between people, places, and concepts of interest. A crumb must come from somewhere, and so the general discussion threads were thereafter called breads. Q continues to post crumbs in the general bread, but may also post on his own board (currently /patriotsfight/) or on other threads where he deems necessary.

The general bread (Q Research General #XXXX) is seen as the primary source of information and discussion of pertinent and recent events related to outing the corruption of US and foreign governments at all levels. It is the most ever-changing thread of any thread on the /qresearch/ board, and the dynamism and frequency of posts increases significantly whenever Q posts or when major political events occur.

Each thread can only contain 750 posts, and the bread reaches this limit roughly every two hours. Unless another bread is created, or baked, the discussion cannot continue in a smooth and uninterrupted way. As such, it is the responsibility of Anons to take on the responsibility of baking a new bread that contains the information from the previous breads and allows the discussion and flow of information to occur unimpeded.

The Anon who takes up this responsibility is the Baker, the functionary who ensures that new breads are baked in a timely manner. Any Anon can be a Baker; the title is only functionary and confers only responsibility and not power over other Anons. When a bread is nearly entirely consumed (i.e., the thread nears the 750 post limit), the Baker creates a new thread and posts the required/requested information at the beginning of it, such that other Anons may quickly reference it during their discussion. Should a Baker need to leave for whatever reason, the Baker requests a handoff of the dough, the text of the first posts of a bread, to another Anon who is willing to take on the responsibilities and keep the breads baking.

Over time, the role of Baker has evolved to include managing archives (or the links to them) and gathering notable posts, or Notables, made by Anons within the bread. Notables include properly sourced information, recent news and current events, insightful or useful commentary from other Anons, or meaningful speculation with a clear direction that requires further analysis or review. The gathering and posting of Notables ensures that other Anons entering the bread can quickly bring themselves up to speed without wading through hundreds, if not thousands, of posts. Thus it is the responsibility of the Baker to use their wisdom and discernment to determine what is or is not Notable, such that other Anons do not waste their time on useless or distracting posts. These notables are added to the dough and baked into future breads, which are then archived by other Anons for future reference.

A Baker that fails to create a new thread in a timely manner is quickly replaced by another Anon who steps up to bake. A Baker that posts pointless information to the Notables without correction is ousted by the other Anons who make way for another to more responsibly collect worthwhile information. Should a Baker fail in his responsibilities for whatever reason, it is up to Anons to rectify the situation as needed. Any interruption of the discussion prompts Anons to bake a new emergency bread and to reorganize, and any Baker intentionally promoting garbage information is quickly ousted such that a new Baker may take their place.

Over 2000 breads on /qresearch/ have been baked, each contributing to a months-long discussion of global politics and the processes behind weeding out the corruption that has overtaken the United States and world governments for the past 100+ years.

Tired of these recent slides about the clock.

For months, clockfags have been posting with no problem. suddenly, there are problems. Why?

FOR THE RECORD

Position of admins is generally supportive, with a few suggestions (below):

1. Clockfags have as good an argument as anyone to assume Q clock is what Q had in mind, they have worked with the clock extensively, most are autists (would have dropped it if completely worthless)

2. One reason there's a problem is because many anons don't know the clock and thinks it affects our credibility to notable clock posts.

3. It's baker's decision about how to treat clockfag posts - most bakers notable them but that's up to them. If a CF post looks fake (made by shill to muddy the waters), please inform baker.

Suggestion to clockfags:

when posting, good idea to explain why some pattern is significant, it's often not obvious to non-clockfags.

If you make a "clockfagging guide" and post in META discussion, will post it in Dough Resources.

BAKER ON DUTY

Earlier today i posted suggesting shorter breads for a while, until we've got more posters and bread is moving along better. Right now, we are more than six hours in @300 - and thats for a Rally bread, which is faster than usual (about 60pph). Now it's down to 30-40pph and will go even slower at night. At the current pace, it'll be at least a 15 hour bread.

__Here's the experiment I'm going to try right now--

- Reset the bump limit (max number of posts) to 350.

- Collect rest of the notes, already got a nice bun here: >>17682445

- Post semi-final notes soon, a final @330, then bake.

- AT 350, the bread should end by itself automatically but that is something we need to test, to see if it really works.

- If not, will lock the bread and report the thread bumplock function to 8kun admins for repair.

After baking, will set the bump limit back to 751 for now - so that posters in breads that have more than 350 posts won't suddenly run out of bread.

Will talk about the results tomorrow and see where we go from there.

Brief comment on baking situation:

Relieved baker in recent bread because it looked like he was trying to hold the bake for 12+ hours.

Also not responding to comms, which is how board runs smoothly.

Anyone can bake. But there are casual and regular bakers.

Casual bakers drop in, fine - they can be lone wolves, come and go. With regular bakers, it's different. They need to be able to talk to other bakers and anons so we have a kitchen who can work together, especially when under attack.

Anons may think board can be run laissez-faire. This is a fantasy. Takes all of us cooperating on some level to keep things going. The less cooperative, the more the burden falls on a handful of shoulders, which creates burnout.

Don't need perfect bakers, but need ones who try, who

- place the welfare of the BOARD first

- are flexible about deferring when a baker offers to take the bread (talk to baker, negotiate)

- are ok with deferring to bakers who can only bake at certain times (LET THEM BAKE WHEN THEY CAN if you have more flexibility)

- respect bakers who have been coming at a certain time of day steadily (and lurq enough to know the score)

- acknowledge/reply to messages from admins and other bakers

- listen to anons re feedback on notes (don't just pull rank)

This stuff is OBVIOUS - to anyone with half a brain who's over 13.

Hello META anons, I was told to post this problem here and you were the ones to fix it.

The QRESEARCH board was frozen a couple days ago. Was told it was being updated.When it became active again the show/hide feature for image files in a post was missing. I actually saw it show up last night/evening on a photo of a dark haired girl smoking. Just the one post it was in. Haven't seen it again.

I am hoping it can be restored as it is a really helpful feature.

I am also on gab, probably the 2nd best free speech pro Patriot sight…but has limited viewers. Twitter has been compromised recently with fact checkers and conservative posts removed and locked accounts. What kind of deletions? I was on the board discussing deletions last night but could not find anything tangible.

Sometimes BV will arrive at say 600 and find 50 spams to delete, but it's too late them. So they will wait to delete them AFTER baker has baked and then lock the bread.

There was one deletion of channeled stuff, looked like it was mixed in with posts from a spammer. would not normally warrant a delete but shills sometimes blend in that way.
