Biden Regime Spends $800,000 On “Harm Reduction” Program That Distributes Crack Pipes In Texas

The Biden Regime never seems to get anything right. Biden foolishly squandered $800,000 on a “Harm Reduction” program in Texas. Translation: free crack pipes are given out to addicts to enable their ongoing addiction.

Since last year, the Department of Health and Human Services has been handing out “smoke kits.”

The Dallas Express reported:

The Biden administration’s “harm reduction” program funds a Texas organization that distributes crack pipes, possibly violating state law, according to an investigation by The Dallas Express.

Since last year, the El Paso Alliance has received nearly $800,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of the nation’s first federal harm reduction program. The group distributes “smoke kits” to drug addicts and told a reporter from The Dallas Express that such kits include a “small, cylinder glass.”

The distribution and possession of drug paraphernalia in Texas is banned under Health and Safety Code 481.002(17).

“A person commits an offense if the person knowingly or intentionally uses or possesses with intent to use drug paraphernalia … to inject, ingest, inhale, or otherwise introduce into the human body a controlled substance in violation of this chapter,” the law reads.

So even though Texas law banned drug paraphernalia, the Biden Regime is still handing out these kits to addicts. Instead of getting the addicts the help they need to get clean, they instead provide them free and clean pipes to smoke themselves into a stupor. Typical leftist solutions designed to keep people trapped in their vice.

The El Paso Alliance, which is the recipient of these Federal Funds, did not comment on whether or not they use the funds on the smoke kits.

In addition to that, the El Paso Police Department did not comment on whether or not they are making exceptions to the law for the El Paso Alliance.

In early 2022 when the program started, numerous news agencies in the mainstream media came to the defense of the Biden Regime. Even Jen Psaki called it a “Conspiracy Theory.”

The Washington Free Beacon went to five different cities to request “safe smoking kits” funded by the Biden Regime’s harm reduction grant program.

The Biden Regime has repeatedly denied free crack pipes are included in the smoking kits.

Psaki previously said crack pipes were ‘never part of the kit’ and blamed it on ‘inaccurate reporting.’

The Free Beacon obtained five safe smoking kits from harm reduction organizations and they all included crack pipes.

The Free Beacon’s findings not only prove Psaki is a liar, they also contradict the left-wing ‘fact-checkers’ who also claimed crack pipes were not included in the kits.

Republican Congressman Calls For General Mark Milley to Be Executed in Shockingly Homophobic Screed

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) published a shockingly violent and homophobic tirade against General Mark Milley, suggesting the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff be put to death.

Gosar’s Congressional office released a newsletter on Sunday which claimed that the FBI, the DHS, and other federal agencies allowed the U.S. Capitol to be attacked by Donald Trump’s rioting supporters on January 6. From there, the newsletter blasted Milley for speaking with Nancy Pelosi after the riot, agreeing with her that Trump was “crazy,” and assuring the former House speaker that Trump wouldn’t be able to seize control of America’s nuclear arsenal during his last days in office.

California Gov. Newsom Signs Law Requiring Foster Parents to Show They Will Support Children’s ‘Sexual Orientation or Gender Identity’

California Governor Gavin Newsom has signed a new law requiring foster parents to prove that they will support an LGBTQ child’s “sexual orientation or gender identity.”

The bill, SB 407, directs the Department of Social Services to amend the foster care vetting process to deny a family the right to foster children based on their beliefs about gender theory.

State Senator Scott Wiener introduced the legislation, which he says “ensures LGBTQ foster youth are raised in supportive environments by creating standard documentation for their needs, adding more follow-up from the Department of Social Services, and requiring LGBTQ youth’s needs be specifically considered in at-home assessments – including clarifying that conduct that poses risk to the health and safety of LGBTQ youth is a valid reason to deny a family the right to host a foster youth.”

“Every child deserves to be one hundred percent supported at home,” said Senator Wiener. “SB 407 ensures that foster youth receive this essential support by specifically requiring LGBTQ acceptance be considered in the resource family approval (RFA) process, creating standard documentation for the assessment of LGBTQ youth needs, and ensuring more frequent follow-up. These youth are at high risk for homelessness, criminal justice involvement, and mental health issues, and we must do everything in our power to ensure they have a safe home in the state of California.”

There were 53,371 youth in foster care in California as of October 1, 2022. An estimated 30 percent identify as LGBTQ.

According to a press release from Wiener’s office:

SB 407 will strengthen the resource family approval (RFA) process for LGBTQ foster youth by:

Requiring explicit consideration of LGBTQ youth in home and environmental assessments;

Creating standard documentation by the Department of Social Services for these assessments to include LGBTQ youth needs;

Reviewing county-approved resource families to evaluate if they are meeting the needs of LGBTQ youth and investigating related incidents as needed;

Ensuring that resource families have the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities to support LGBTQ youth; and

Clarifying existing law that conduct that poses risk to the health and safety of LGBTQ youth is a valid reason for denial of a resource family.

The bill was one of several signed by Newsom on Saturday regarding LGBTQ issues.

According to a report from ABC 7, Newsom also signed “AB 5, which sets implementation timelines for required LGBTQ+ cultural competency training by public school teachers and staff; SB 857, which will establish an advisory task force to identify LGBTQ+ pupil needs statewide and assist in implementing supportive initiatives; and AB 223, which requires any petition for a change of gender and sex identifier by a minor to be kept confidential by the court.”

“California is proud to have some of the most robust laws in the nation when it comes to protecting and supporting our LGBTQ+ community, and we’re committed to the ongoing work to create safer, more inclusive spaces for all Californians,” said Newsom in a statement. “These measures will help protect vulnerable youth, promote acceptance, and create more supportive environments in our schools and communities.”

Indonesia hosts largest military drills with US, allies amid superpower tensions

Indonesia will host its largest annual joint military drills with the United States, Australia and other countries that are set to kick off Thursday amid Sino-U.S. tensions in Asia.

The 2023 Super Garuda Shield exercise will run for two weeks in East Java province and consist of more than 5,000 Indonesian and U.S. troops, and 1,000 more from Australia, Japan and Singapore as well as new participants France and the United Kingdom. Another 12 nations will send observers.

“This will be the largest. We can learn tactical methods of operation so that our soldiers become more professional,” Rear Adm. Julius Widjojono, the Indonesian military’s spokesman, told BenarNews.

He said the exercises, which run through Sept. 13 in Surabaya and Banyuwangi, aim to enhance the national army’s capabilities and strengthen regional security and cooperation.

This year’s iteration of Super Garuda Shield will involve about 2,000 more troops than last year’s exercise, which had been the largest ever.

The drills will include academic exchanges and professional development workshops, a command-and-control simulation, an amphibious exercise, airborne operations, an airfield seizure exercise and a combined joint field training that will culminate with a live-fire event, according to the U.S. Embassy in Jakarta.

“This joint, multinational training exercise displays our collective commitment and like-minded unity, allowing for a stable, secure, and more peaceful, free and open Indo-Pacific,” Gen. Charles Flynn, commanding general of U.S. Army Pacific, said in the statement from the embassy.

The multi-nation drills will be taking place against the backdrop of tensions between the U.S. and rival super power China over Taiwan and the disputed South China Sea.

While China claims nearly all of the strategic waterway, the Philippines, Brunei, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam have contending territorial claims.

Indonesia is not a claimant, but tensions have arisen between Jakarta and Beijing over fishing rights around the Natuna Islands. Jakarta has expressed concern over Beijing’s expansive maritime claims that overlap with its exclusive economic zone (EEZ).

Earlier this week, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesman called on the U.S. to stop meddling in the region. He was responding to a reporter’s question about an apparent joint statement from Indonesian and U.S. officials regarding Beijing’s South China Sea claims. Spokesman Wang Wenbin said the Indonesian officials had denied making the statement.

“Countries in the region share common aspirations and interests to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea and work together for development,” Wang said on Monday.

“The U.S. needs to earnestly respect regional countries’ effort to uphold peace and stability in the South China Sea, stop meddling in South China Sea issues, stop sowing discords and creating trouble, and refrain from disrupting peace and stability in the region,” he said.

New Chinese map

Also on Monday, China issued a new map that adds portions of Malaysian waters near Sabah and Sarawak, as well as disputed regions in India, Taiwan and the South China Sea to territory that Beijing claims. The map also covers maritime areas within the exclusive economic zones of Brunei, the Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam.

The release of the map, published on China’s Ministry of Natural Resources, prompted a diplomatic protest from India, the Associated Press reported.

The exercise begins as regional leaders, including those from the U.S. and China, are scheduled to meet in Jakarta next week for the East Asia Summit, a forum on strategic, political and economic issues in the region. U.S. Vice PresidentKamala Harris is scheduled to attend the summit, while Beijing has not revealed who will represent China, according to Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.

Jewish Group Slams Canadian Parliament for Honoring Nazi During Zelensky Visit

Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Canadian Jewish human rights organization, slammed the Canadian parliament Sunday for giving a standing ovation to a Ukrainian Nazi during President Volodymyr Zelensky’s visit Friday.

Yaroslav Hunka, 98, was introduced by Speaker Anthony Rota of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party as a “Ukrainian-Canadian war veteran from the Second World War who fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians, and continues to support the troops today. … He’s a Ukrainian hero, a Canadian hero, and we thank him for all his service.”

Rota’s historical illiteracy, however, tripped him up: some nationalist movements in Eastern Europe who fought against the Soviets later aligned with the invading Nazi forces, including in Ukraine.

Rebel News, a conservative Canadian outlet, noted: “As many as 2,000 Waffen SS soldiers of Ukrainian heritage, including Yaroslav Hunka, changed their identities and masqueraded as ‘refugees’ before capture to seek refuge in Canada in the 1950s.” The unit had actually fought against Canadians in Italy during the war, Rebel News added.

The Friends of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a Canadian group supporting the Los Angeles-based, Nazi-hunting organization, noted in a statement:

Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) is deeply disturbed over the Canadian Parliament’s recognition of a Ukrainian veteran who served in a Nazi military unit during the Second World War implicated in the mass murder of Jews and others. FSWC is further outraged that parliamentarians in the House of Commons gave a standing ovation to the former soldier on Friday.

Yaroslav Hunka, a 98-year-old immigrant from Ukraine, was introduced by Anthony Rota, Speaker of the House of Commons, as “a Ukrainian Canadian war veteran from the Second World War who fought for Ukrainian independence against the Russians” and “a Ukrainian hero and a Canadian hero,” ignoring the horrific fact that Hunka served in the 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, a Nazi military unit whose crimes against humanity during the Holocaust are well-documented.

It added:

The fact that a veteran who served in a Nazi military unit was invited to and given a standing ovation in Parliament is shocking. At a time of rising antisemitism and Holocaust distortion, it is incredibly disturbing to see Canada’s Parliament rise to applaud an individual who was a member of a unit in the Waffen-SS, a Nazi military branch responsible for the murder of Jews and others and that was declared a criminal organization during the Nuremberg Trials. There should be no confusion that this unit was responsible for the mass murder of innocent civilians with a level of brutality and malice that is unimaginable.

An apology is owed to every Holocaust survivor and veteran of the Second World War who fought the Nazis, and an explanation must be provided as to how this individual entered the hallowed halls of Canadian Parliament and received recognition from the Speaker of the House and a standing ovation.

Some of the Ukrainian troops fighting Russia today do, indeed, have a Nazi or neo-Nazi background — a fact that has largely been overlooked by western governments who back Ukraine in the war.

Zelensky’s address urged the West to continue to send aid to Ukraine. Trudeau pledged an additional CA$650 million.

The survey found that 34% of Democratic voters believe that Americans possess "too much freedom" compared to just 14.6% of Republican voters. Although an overwhelming portion of U.S. voters believe that freedom of speech protections are beneficial, 52% of Democratic voters believe it is important "that the government be able to censor users/content on social media platforms it feels threaten national security."

Over half of Democratic voters also believe that government censorship ability takes precedence over "social media users be[ing] able to post content they feel are in the national interest," according to the poll. In contrast, one-third of Republicans hold this belief.

Additionally, approximately 75% of Democratic voters believe the government should censor "hateful" social media content, according to the poll.

Louisiana Gov to Ask for Federal Emergency Declaration After Contamination of Drinking Water

Inch by inch, a crisis is developing in southern Louisiana as saltwater from the Gulf of Mexico is creeping northward into the Mississippi River.

Because the river is a source of drinking water for many communities, including New Orleans, Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards, a Democrat, is preparing to seek federal help to deal with an emergency that has so far defied efforts to address, according to The Associated Press.

In an average year, the flow of the normal river keeps salt water at bay. However, a lack of rain has reduced the river’s flow, meaning a dense layer of salt water is spreading north from the Gulf of Mexico.

Edwards said the situation could worsen with historic river lows expected in the coming weeks.

“I can tell you in the next couple of days we will be requesting an emergency declaration from the federal government as well for the purpose of getting more federal agencies involved to the extent that can be helpful,” Edwards said Friday, according to Fox News.

Edwards said an emergency declaration would allow the state “to take emergency protective measures with some level of reimbursement available from the federal government should that federal emergency declaration be granted.”

A state of emergency declaration was issued on Sept. 5, Fox reported.

Col. Cullen Jones of the Army Corps of Engineers said the real answer to the state’s problems requires 10 inches of rain to douse the Mississippi Valley, giving the river enough water to push back the saltwater intrusion, according to the U.K. Guardian.

The Guardian noted that the Mississippi River’s mouth is below sea level and that a wedge of saltwater has been moving upriver beneath the level of fresh water.

An underwater barrier was built to hold back the salt water, but it has pushed past that barrier, Jones said.

Jones said that weather forecasts indicate salt water will remain a danger for anywhere from a few weeks to a couple of months.

Jones said the Corps of Engineers will seek to deliver 15 million gallons of fresh water to the state’s southern parishes. However, taken altogether, communities faced with the threat of having saltwater enter their water intakes by Oct. 24 use 36 million gallons of water per day.

Plaquemines Parish, in the southeastern part of Louisiana, is already under a drinking water advisory because of the saltwater wedge, with bottled water being given out to residents, according to Fox News.

On Friday, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell issued an emergency declaration to prepare for the arrival of the saltwater wedge, according to The Hill.

Biden Regime Spends $800,000 On “Harm Reduction” Program That Distributes Crack Pipes In Texas

The Biden Regime never seems to get anything right. Biden foolishly squandered $800,000 on a “Harm Reduction” program in Texas. Translation: free crack pipes are given out to addicts to enable their ongoing addiction.

Since last year, the Department of Health and Human Services has been handing out “smoke kits.”

The Dallas Express reported:

The Biden administration’s “harm reduction” program funds a Texas organization that distributes crack pipes, possibly violating state law, according to an investigation by The Dallas Express.

Since last year, the El Paso Alliance has received nearly $800,000 from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of the nation’s first federal harm reduction program. The group distributes “smoke kits” to drug addicts and told a reporter from The Dallas Express that such kits include a “small, cylinder glass.”

The distribution and possession of drug paraphernalia in Texas is banned under Health and Safety Code 481.002(17).

“A person commits an offense if the person knowingly or intentionally uses or possesses with intent to use drug paraphernalia … to inject, ingest, inhale, or otherwise introduce into the human body a controlled substance in violation of this chapter,” the law reads.

So even though Texas law banned drug paraphernalia, the Biden Regime is still handing out these kits to addicts. Instead of getting the addicts the help they need to get clean, they instead provide them free and clean pipes to smoke themselves into a stupor. Typical leftist solutions designed to keep people trapped in their vice.

The El Paso Alliance, which is the recipient of these Federal Funds, did not comment on whether or not they use the funds on the smoke kits.

In addition to that, the El Paso Police Department did not comment on whether or not they are making exceptions to the law for the El Paso Alliance.

In early 2022 when the program started, numerous news agencies in the mainstream media came to the defense of the Biden Regime. Even Jen Psaki called it a “Conspiracy Theory.”

The Washington Free Beacon went to five different cities to request “safe smoking kits” funded by the Biden Regime’s harm reduction grant program.

The Biden Regime has repeatedly denied free crack pipes are included in the smoking kits.

Psaki previously said crack pipes were ‘never part of the kit’ and blamed it on ‘inaccurate reporting.’

The Free Beacon obtained five safe smoking kits from harm reduction organizations and they all included crack pipes.

The Free Beacon’s findings not only prove Psaki is a liar, they also contradict the left-wing ‘fact-checkers’ who also claimed crack pipes were not included in the kits.
