To violate RICO, a person must engage in a pattern of racketeering activity connected to an enterprise. The law defines 35 offenses as constituting racketeering, including gambling, murder, kidnapping, arson, drug dealing, bribery. Significantly, mail and wire fraud are included on the list. Russia's shift to hypersonic weapons is likely a means of contending with American superiority in size, technology and sheer number of aircraft carriers. The U.S. Navy intends to maintain a force of 12 nuclear-powered aircraft carriers.
The age of Russian superweapons is upon us – at least that's what President Vladimir Putin wants us to believe.
And they are cause for concern because the United States' traditional early warning systems might not be able to see those weapons coming.
Hypersonic weapons such as Russia's 3M22 Zircon fly so fast and low at speeds of up to Mach 6 and at a low atmospheric-ballistic trajectory that they can penetrate traditional anti-missile defense systems.
The missile flies with an advanced fuel that the Russians say gives it a range of up to 1,000 kilometers. And it's so fast that the air pressure in front of the weapon forms a plasma cloud as it moves, absorbing radio waves and making it practically invisible to active radar systems.
U.S. Aegis missile interceptor systems require 8-10 seconds of reaction time to intercept incoming attacks. In those 8-10 seconds, the Russian Zircon missiles will already have traveled 20 kilometers, and the interceptor missiles do not fly fast enough to catch up.
Experts say such weapons are currently impossible for the USA to defend against.
The United States will launch a new testing programme for hypersonic weapons, as it seeks to catch up with China and Russia in the arms race.

At least eight people have been killed in a bombing near the front gate of Myanmar's main prison for political detainees in Yangon, the country's biggest city.
Five people who were delivering parcels to prisoners and three prison staff were killed when two bombs exploded at Insein Prison at around 9:40am (local time) on Wednesday, News Of Myanmar, a website sympathetic to the country's military government, reported.
The blasts occurred inside and outside a parcel reception office near the main iron gate of the notorious prison, which houses thousands of political prisoners sent there since last year's military coup.
The military's information office said five visitors, including a 10-year-old girl, and three prison staff were killed, and that an unexploded bomb was found in a parcel.
It said 13 visitors, including a 9-year-old boy, and five prison personnel were being treated for injuries at Insein township hospital.
Families of prisoners are allowed to bring parcels with items such as food, clothing and medicine to the prison.

Resistance groups condemn attack
There were no immediate claims of responsibility for the attack, but the military junta had earlier blamed "terrorists".
The Yangon Revolution Force, Yangon Urban Guerrillas and General Strike Committee — all resistance groups engaged in struggle against military rule — released statements on their Facebook pages condemning the attacks for hurting civilians.
Photos of the bombings, distributed by the military's information office, showed items scattered by the blasts and blood on the floor inside the prison reception office.
A witness told Reuters soldiers at the prison had opened fire in response to the blasts.
"As soon as I heard the blast, I ran out and that's when I got hurt.
"The soldiers … at the entrance gate fired shots recklessly," said the witness, who declined to be named because of security reasons.
The witness said they were about three metres away from the blasts and were hurt not by the explosion, but from shrapnel from gunfire.
A resident who lives near the prison's entrance gate told the Associated Press he heard about 10 gunshots after hearing the two explosions, but did not know if they caused any casualties.
A lawyer who went to the prison about an hour after the blasts said the areas for arriving visitors and receiving parcels were empty when he arrived, and extra security had been deployed in front of the prison's main gate.
He said he was told that hearings at the court inside the prison had been postponed.
The resident and the lawyer spoke on condition of anonymity because of fear of being targeted by security forces for speaking to the media.
Myanmar has been in turmoil since the military seized power from the elected civilian government of Aung San Suu Kyi last year, triggering nationwide peaceful protests that security forces suppressed with deadly force.
The repression led to widespread armed resistance, which has since turned into what some UN experts have characterised as civil war.
Some 2,367 civilians have died in a crackdown on resistance, according to detailed lists compiled by the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, a rights watchdog group.
Bombings and shootings in Myanmar cities and armed clashes in the countryside occur daily.
Urban guerillas opposed to military rule carry out targeted killings of people associated with the military and bombings of establishments with official ties.

HONG KONG—A multimillion-dollar stash of methamphetamine hidden in electrical transformers being sent from Mexico to Australia has been intercepted at Hong Kong’s airport, authorities said Tuesday.
The 76 kilograms (168 pounds) of crystal meth was found Friday in false compartments in the three transformers, a Hong Kong customs official said. She said the transformers appeared suspicious when they were X-rayed.
“We only saw simple structures but could not see other components that should have been there, such as high voltage cables or coils of wire,” senior Inspector Lam Kai-shan told reporters.
Hong Kong customs estimated the market value of the drugs at $46 million Hong Kong dollars ($5.9 million). The street value would have soared to $68 million Australian dollars ($43 million) in Australia, police there said.
“We are now working together and following every lead to find those responsible for this importation,” Detective Superintendent Timothy Underhill of the Australian Federal Police said in a statement. “Someone in Australia must know about this shipment, and we are very interested in talking to them.”
The Australian statement said Hong Kong officers found the drugs after receiving intelligence from Australian police and other agencies. The air cargo shipment was to be delivered to an address in the western Sydney suburb of Blacktown, it said.

Dear Prime Minister,
It is with the greatest regret that I am choosing to tender my resignation.
Earlier today, I sent an official document from my personal email to a trusted parliamentary colleague as part of policy engagement, and with the aim of gammering support for government policy on migration.
This constitutes a technical infringement of the rules. As you know, the document was a draft Written Ministerial Statement about migration, due for publication imminently. Much of it had already been briefed to MPs. Nevertheless it is right for me to go.
As soon as I realised my mistake, I rapidly reported this on official channels, and informed the Cabinet Secretary. As Home Secretary I hold myself to the highest standards and my resignation is the right thing to do. The business of government relies upon people accepting responsibility for their mistakes.
Pretending we haven't made mistakes, carrying on as if everyone can't see that we have made them, and hoping that things will magically come right is not serious politics. I have made a mistake; I accept responsibility; I resign.
It is obvious to everyone that we are going through a tumultuous time. I have concerns about the direction of this government. Not only have we broken key pledges that were promised to our voters, but I have had serious concerns about this Government's commitment to honouring manifesto commitments, such as reducing overall migration numbers and stopping illegal migration. particularly the dangerous small boats crossings.
It has been a great honour to serve at the Home Office. in even the brief time that I have been here, it has been very clear that there is much to do, in terms of delivering on the priorities of the British people. They deserve policing they can respect, an immigration policy they want and voted for in such unambiguous numbers at the last election, and laws which serve the public good, and not the interests of selfish
protestors.
Tam very grateful to all of my officials, special advisers and ministerial team for all of their help during my time as Home Secretary. I especially would like to pay tribute to the heroic policemen and women and all those who work at Border Force and in our security services. To oversee Operation Bridges - the largest policing operation in a generation - was a great honour and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve.

The US Military is years behind Russia's Electronic Warfare Capabilities.
The State Department acknowledged that the crew of the destroyer USS Donald Cook has been gravely demoralized ever since their vessel was flown over in the Black Sea by a Russian Sukhoi-24 (Su-24) fighter jet which carried neither bombs nor missiles but only an electronic warfare device.
The US destroyer is equipped with the most recent Aegis Combat System. It is an integrated naval weapons systems which can link together the missile defense systems of all vessels embedded within the same network, so as to ensure the detection, tracking and destruction of hundreds of targets at the same time. In addition, the USS Donald Cook is equipped with 4 large radars, whose power is comparable to that of several stations. For protection, it carries more than fifty anti-aircraft missiles of various types.
Meanwhile, the Russian Su-24 that buzzed the USS Donald Cook carried neither bombs nor missiles but only a basket mounted under the fuselage, which, according to the Russian newspaper Rossiyskaya Gazeta [2], contained a Russian electronic warfare device called Khibiny.
As the Russian jet approached the US vessel, the electronic device disabled all radars, control circuits, systems, information transmission, etc. on board the US destroyer. In other words, the all-powerful Aegis system, now hooked up - or about to be - with the defense systems installed on NATO’s most modern ships was shut down, as turning off the TV set with the remote control.
The Russian Su-24 then simulated a missile attack against the USS Donald Cook, which was left literally deaf and blind. As if carrying out a training exercise, the Russian aircraft - unarmed - repeated the same maneuver 12 times before flying away.

A Galaxy Beyond Stars, Gas, Dust
Do we dare believe our eyes? When we look at images of space, we often wonder whether they are "real", and just as often the best answer varies. In this case, the scene appears much as our eyes would see it, because it was obtained using RGB (Red, Green, Blue) filters like the cone cells in our eyes, except collecting light for 19 hours, not a fraction of a second. The featured image was captured over six nights, using a 24-inch diameter telescope in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, in California, USA. The bright spiral galaxy at the center (NGC 7497) looks like it is being grasped by an eerie tendril of a space ghost, and therein lies the trick. The galaxy is actually 59 million light years away, while the nebulosity is MBM 54, less than one thousand light years away, making it one of the nearest cool clouds of gas and dust galactic cirrus within our own Milky Way Galaxy. Both are in the constellation of Pegasus, which can be seen high overhead from northern latitudes in the autumn.

Chen’s report stated that Fetterman will occasionally “miss” words in a way that will appear as if he hasn’t heard them, but his hearing for things such as music is unaffected. Chen also said Fetterman’s communication has “significantly improved” since his first visit following the stroke, and that he regularly attends speech therapy.
Fetterman’s health following his stroke has become an issue in his race for the United States Senate against Dr. Mehmet Oz.

MEDICAL REPORT FOR JOHN K. FETTERMAN
Re: John K Fetterman DOB: 8/15/1969
On Friday, October 14, 2022 I saw Lt. Governor Fetterman for a follow-up office visit after he had previously established care with me as his primary care physician in May.
Overall, the Lt. Governor is recovering well from his stroke and his health has continued to improve. His physical exam was normal with blood pressure 116/82, heart rate 80, and pulse oximetry 97% on room air. His lung exam was clear, heart rate was regular, and his strength was normal in all four extremities without any strength or coordination deficits. He spoke intelligently without cognitive deficits. His speech was normal and he continues to exhibit symptoms of an auditory processing disorder which can come across as hearing difficulty. Occasional words he will "miss" which seems like he doesn't hear the word but it is actually not processed properly. His hearing of sound such as music is not affected. His communication is significantly improved compared to his first visit assisted by speech therapy which he has attended on a regular basis since the stroke.
Laboratory testing was performed and the results are good. His lipid profile is excellent with total cholesterol 124, HDL 54, LDL 56, and triglycerides 60.
Kidney function, electrolytes, liver function, and vitamin levels are all normal. The Lt. Governor also received appropriate flu and pneumonia vaccinations at his office visit.
I have spoken with his neurologist and cardiologist and he will follow-up with them routinely. The Lt. Governor takes appropriate medications to optimize his heart condition and prevent future strokes. He also exercises routinely and can walk 4 to 5 miles regularly without difficulty.
Overall, Lt. Governor Fetterman is well and shows strong commitment to maintaining good fitness and health practices. He has no work restrictions and can work full duty in public office.

Top NIH Director Admits She Was Unaware of the Boston Lab’s New COVID Strain Research with 80% Death Rate – Says the Research Was Not Authorized

According to a report that was published by the Daily Mail on Monday, researchers at Boston University have developed a new and deadly strain of COVID that has an 80% kill rate, similar to the experiments in Wuhan many people believe started the pandemic.
In early April 2020, TGP reported that the China coronavirus (COVID-19) most likely came from the Wuhan Institute of Virology. After years of denials and disputes the head of the WHO believes this is where it came from as well.
TGP reported in a series of articles in April 2020 that the probable epicenter of COVID-19 was the Wuhan Institute of Virology. This was refuted by experts in the field and our reporting was denounced by those involved intimately in the origins of COVID-19.
At Boston University, the new COVID strain was able to kill 80% of the mice who were infected with it. The mutant variant is a combination of Omicron and the original Wuhan virus.
Boston University’s National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories is one of only 13 biosafety level 4 facilities in the United States. The National Institute of Health is a major funder of the Biocontainment Laboratory at Boston University.
According to public documents, it was partially funded by a grant from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) for $1.1million, according to Daily Mail.
For any research grants awarded by the government, projects must detail how the funds will be spent and how the public will benefit, the outlet added.
However, Dr. Emily Erbelding, a director at the NIAID division of microbiology and infectious diseases, admitted that she was unaware of the details of the research.
She said the researchers at Boston University did not clear the work with the NIAID, making the research unauthorized.
Erbedling claimed the university did not inform the NIAID and she only learned of the details from the news media reports.
The Daily Mail reported:
Dr Erbelding admitted feeling uneasy about the type of research the grants had been used to fund — given the lingering questions about the role of virus manipulation studies and the origins of Covid.
Boston University’s biosafety level 3 National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratory extracted the spike protein from Omicron and attached it to the original Wuhan strain that first emerged in China.
The team then exposed it to human cells in a petri dish and to live mice. The mutant virus killed 80 per cent of the rodents.
The researchers quickly came under fire from many scientists and politicians alike who said they were ‘playing with fire’ and accused them of conducting ‘gain-of-function’ research.
Boston University insisted it was not technically gain-of-function research because its chimeric virus only killed 80 per cent of mice. The original Wuhan strain, for comparison, killed 100 per cent of the rodents.
A spokesperson for the university told DailMail.com: ‘In fact, this research made the virus less dangerous.’
But independent researchers have already challenged that claim, pointing out that the currently dominant Omicron virus was far milder than the new hybrid variant.
Dr Erbelding said she ‘wished’ the scientists had informed NIAID of their work.
She told Stat News: ‘What we would have wanted to do is to talk about exactly what they wanted to do in advance… [and then] we could have put a package forward for review.’
A spokesman for Boston University today told DailyMail.com they ‘did not have an obligation to disclose this research’.
They said the experiments were carried out with funds from Boston University.
‘NIAID funding was acknowledged as a courtesy because it was used to help develop the tools and platforms that were used in this research, they did not fund this research directly,’ they said.
This left them with no obligation to report the research to the agency, they added.

Creepy Bill Gates was back on TV on Tuesday on CNBC. Gates is one of the vocal leaders behind the COVID vaccine movement pushing the experimental vaccines that killed thousands, injured millions and did not prevent the spread of the disease. The only thing we know for certain about the COVID vaccines is that we have not yet seen the end of their destruction.
Gates praised Blackrock and warned US businesses that climate taxes are coming. This guy didn’t even hesitate before he started pushing his next destructive pet project on the West.
Creepy Bill Gates: Blackrock and Lary in particular are a prime example of private sector leadership. Anyone who says climate should not be a factor in how you evaluate the future of a company , um, that’s not capitalism because companies that have emissions, they are going to be subject to border adjustment tariffs or taxes. You also have to think about companies if you’re dealing with severe weather events that’s got to be factored in. Is the company … becoming more resilient? So the attacks are kind of illogical because climate does affect the economy which does affect investments.
Gates also spouted off on the current suicidal transition in the West away from fossil fuels.
Ask Europe how well that transition away is working out today.
