DOD announces creation of diversity and inclusion committee

Department of Defense has taken flak for its prioritization of social issues and progressive projects.

The Department of Defense has formed the Defense Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion (DACODAI) and on Friday announced the appointment of its inaugural slate of members.

General (Ret.) Lester Lyles will chair the committee, which is "composed of civilian women and men who are appointed by the Secretary of Defense to provide advice and recommendations on matters and policies relating to the improvement of racial/ethnic diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity within the Department with a primary focus on military personnel," according to a DOD press release.

"It is an incredible honor to be appointed as the Chair of the DACODAI," Lyles said of his appointment. "This year marks a historical event as the first committee to provide the Secretary of Defense with advice and recommendations to improve racial/ethnic diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity as a force multiplier in the military.

"I look forward to working with my fellow committee members to help the Defense Department so that our national security is strengthened by the full participation of a diverse and inclusive environment with service members of every background."

Lyles, the DOD stated, is "devoted to community service, particularly in diversity and inclusion matters which he believes is a mission imperative to national security."

Under the Biden administration, the Department of Defense has taken flak for its prioritization of social issues and progressive projects, especially amid major military failures such as the chaotic U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.

For those who don’t know, the purpose of CGB is to provide close personnel protection to members of the Politburo Standing Committee and other CCP leaders. The committee is also responsible for the protection of Xi Jinping.

As Hu and Wen retook control of CGB, information was conveyed to Jiang Zeng and the Central Committee members in Beijing via telephone. The original standing committee members abolished Xi’s military authority at that very moment.

Xi returned to Beijing on the evening of 16th September after learning the truth. However, he was detained at the airport and most probably is currently being held under house arrest in Zhongnanhai’s house.

The current situation is being controlled by Hu Jintao. If the reports are believed to be true, this is one of the biggest happenings in China after the Chinese Virus outbreak in 2019. On September 8th, the reform meeting of the finalizing committee was chaired by two vice-chairmen. The chairman of the operations, who is a loyalist to Xi, was removed from the meeting. The former CCP leaders foresaw that Xi Jinping’s loyalists would undoubtedly use aggression to topple his house arrest. Here, Li Qiaoming entered the scene. Qiaoming now has turned Beijing into a military fort. A large 80km convoy entered Beijing and closed all possible exits of the city. According to the source, the PLA is blocking highways and is currently said to be detaining protesters.

As the political unrest in Beijing was made known to Russian intelligence, Russian energy giant Gazprom momentarily halted gas flow through the Power of Siberia pipeline that sent Russian gas to China. Though Russia justified the cut as “scheduled maintenance work,” one can predict clearly that it was done to support Xi Jinping by making the protests uglier.

Time to Open up says Rebel CCP!

Moreover, the netizens on Social Media have reported that over the last two days, Beijing airport canceled more than 6,000 domestic flights and international flights. Also, all tickets sold by the high-speed rail are suspended, and the rail is completely put out of function until further notice. Hours later, Chinese Civil Aviation notified airlines with Boeing MAX aircraft to resume their service.

Now, let’s look at what happened yesterday. National defense was discussed at a Military Commission meeting yesterday. What remarkable here is the presence of Shenyang Kang in that meeting, who was fired by Xi Jinping. Li Qiaoming was again seated in the middle of the front row.

The most suspicious event recently is Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s sudden visit to New York. He met with Henry Kissinger. On September 21, when Song Ping was irking against Xi Jinping, Wang Yi met with the former US secretary of state.

Here, Mr. Wang planned a surprise visit and congratulated Dr. Kissinger on his upcoming 100th birthday, calling him an old and good friend of the Chinese people. Kissinger is close to veteran CCP members and he made historic contributions to the establishment and development of China-United States relations. Doesn’t this sudden meeting raise questions about the real purpose behind it?

Though, nothing is coming out in open, and no such discussions are available on Weibo. However, based on Xi’s behavior over the past two years, it appears likely that Xi has always had an idea that CCP veterans are against him. The veterans had been urging Xi to modify his strict demeanor. But, Xi’s hunger for power was unquestionably standing in the way.

If these reports are accurate we can say that Xi’s tenure has come to a dead end. When this happens, Hu Jintao deserves all the credit for making this possible.

Don’t ask me how I know but Russian High Command has just authorized a nuclear strike against western targets to be carried out in the next 48 hours. The rumor I heard was there was a failed coup earlier this week at the Kremlin in response to Putin’s intention to declare total war. Though he survived the coup Putin is now desperate enough to launch an assault on Western Europe. Ukraine’s major cities will be annihilated with further strikes against cities in Poland, Germany, France, the UK and quite possibly the United States.

On 21st September, the German government announced that it is officially taking over Uniper for ensuring the supply of energy to homes and businesses. Uniper has previously been the country’s largest importer of Russian gas. For this, Berlin has vowed to spend 8 billion euros ($7.9 billion) to acquire additional shares in Uniper which it does not own. The nation is heading to acquire 99% of the stakes.

In July, the German government took a 30 per cent stake in Uniper and agreed to a €15 billion bailout package to save the company from a total shutdown. As the Government announced the nationalization of Uniper, Economic minister Robert Habeck announced, “This step became necessary because the situation has clearly changed,”

Even the officials at Uniper are euphoric over the fact that the company has got nationalized. But, it looks like Olaf’s own partners in government are irked by Uniper’s nationalization.

Pillory in SPD-Greens coalition

According to Bloomberg, Scholz’s Coalition is at odds over Germany’s gas levy. Scholz’s ministers are throwing each other under the bus after the Uniper’s nationalization. This is for the first time that conflicts have emerged in Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s ruling coalition over financing the government’s effort to stave off a collapse of Germany’s energy sector.

Finance Minister Christian Lindner has lambasted Economy Minister Robert Habeck over plans to pay for the deal to nationalize gas giant Uniper SE. As per Lindner, there are still issues that need to be ironed out over funding for the bailout.

Lindner has raised questions over the gas levy which Habeck had introduced before Uniper’s nationalisation. The finance minister has stressed that Habeck’s former decision to impose a gas levy on German households is absolutely illegal given the fact Germany now has a safe and secure supply option. If one remembers correctly, Robert Habeck had entitled German households to pay €500 more a year for gas after a levy was set to help utilities cover the cost of replacing Russian supplies. But now, as Uniper is nationalised, Habeck has no moral ground to keep the levy imposed. Lindner is cracking the whip for Habeck and urging him to chal

k out a new plan of levies or no levies. But, Habeck seems to be adamant against such calls.

Olaf Scholz is a Puny?

Calls by the Finance minister are falling on deaf ears, the Greens have made it apparent that the levy will continue to remain imposed on German households.

Well, Habeck’s Greens has historically been in favour of raising taxes or taking on more debt to help finance the government’s response to the crisis, but Liberals have always ruled out these options. Olaf was chosen as the coalition’s leader following the implementation of the common minimum programme. A contract for the ruling coalition was sealed when the SPD, Liberals, and Greens formed a coalition the previous year.

However, the cracks within the coalition have started to appear. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Lindner and Habeck are fighting like cats and dogs over policy implementation. Whereas, Olaf has kept a complete mum over the matter. This might demonstrate that Olaf Scholz is now a puny in the coalition. In the last nine months, Olaf Scholz and SPD have lost huge ground electorally.

According to DW, around two-thirds of Germans are now dissatisfied with Chancellor Olaf Scholz. Approximately 62% of Germans have an unfavourable view of Scholz. That’s a major dip in his support.

A Leverage for Greens!!

The sole reason behind this is Germany’s non-sensical jump in the Ukraine war which has spurt immense troubles for Germans. However, the Ukraine war is somehow being kind to the Germany’s Greens. If the Chancellor is to be elected directly, Scholz will now come only in third place. While Habeck will come first.

The Greens are rising only on the behest of SPD’s decline. Over 90 % of Green voters believe that the party has the best policies in the federal government and it was visible in the regional elections too.

So now, SPD is undoubtedly the second fiddle in the coalition. Furthermore, Greens have tripled their vote in the last 5 years and now, Habeck is openly undermining sitting ducks, Olaf Scholz and Lindner, like there’s no tomorrow.

Olaf is so unpopular that he’s on the verge of stepping down as Germany’s chancellor, and it’s possible that party politics will be used to replace him since SPD will be held accountable for his mistakes and failings.

So, Who will succeed this coalition’s current chancellor? Habeck or Baerbock? Only time will tell.
