ABIM: "There shall be no public accountability on our decision to de-certify Dr. McCullough"
According to the ABIM, there is no need for a public forum between experts to determine what constitutes misinformation. That determination is made by the ABIM and its hand-selected doctors.
ABIM contacted Dr. Peter McCullough in a letter dated May 26, 2022 notifying him he is accused of spreading misinformation and started an investigation to remove his board certification. See 0:24 in this Highwire episode for the ABIM letter.
Senator Ron Johnson heard about the letter and sent a letter dated June 15 to Dr. Richard Baron, President & CEO of the ABIM where he politely offered to host an expert panel of doctors in Washington DC to resolve what the science actually says, similar to the widely popular “A second opinion” panel he hosted, but this time with scientists on both sides. See 3:36 in this Highwire episode for Johnson’s offer.
Note that Johnson’s original panel invited scientists on all sides but nobody was willing to support the false narrative so it ended up being one-sided, but not for lack of trying.
ABIM refused Johnson’s offer. Dr. Baron sent Senator Johnson a “thanks but no thanks” reply saying they are perfectly capable of disciplining Dr. McCullough, without any outside assistance. Dr. Baron said that the discipline procedure is private (even though McCullough waives all privacy), ABIM doesn’t want anyone to know. ABIM and its appointed panel of doctors will make all decisions on de-certification. They do not need to hear from scientists with opposing views on what constitutes misinformation, nor do they want to.
In other words, ABIM will make scientific assessments in private, behind closed doors, using a panel they appoint. They will not be held accountable to any public scrutiny. So there!
In an earlier article, I wrote that Peter McCullough was notified that the American Board of Internal Medicine wants to strip away his board certification because Peter said things that were true at the time he said them and some of them turned out later not to be true. Basically, because Peter cannot predict the future, he’s guilty of spreading misinformation.
However, it’s interesting that the same is true for all physicians certified by ABIM. Those physicians told people that the vaccines would protect them against getting COVID and we know now that is not true. These physicians also told people “masks work” which gave people a false sense of security and increased COVID rates, causing deaths. They also told patients that early treatments such as HCQ and ivermectin don’t work. And when the vaccines are finally generally recognized as the most dangerous vaccines ever invented, ABIM will be forced to decertify itself if it has any ethics left at that point.
So instead of going after THOSE physicians, ABIM is targeting Dr. McCullough.
Senator Ron Johnson heard about the letter and offered to host a panel of doctors in Washington DC to resolve what the science actually says.
The President of the ABIM responded saying it’s a private process, they decide on what constitutes misinformation, and there shall be no public accountability in their process. They are the judge, jury, and executioner. Peter can have a lawyer, but they appoint the jury. It’s all done behind closed doors. What constitutes “misinformation” shall be exclusively determined by a board of doctors THEY appoint. They have absolutely no interest in facilitating a public forum to hear from experts on both sides. They only want to hear from THEIR experts. And if their experts rule the wrong way, they will take away the certification of those experts, so it’s an absolute fair process designed to impartially determine truth. No pressure at all on the doctor panel of judges, see?

Dr. Baron served as Chief Medical Officer of Health Partners, a not-for-profit Medicaid HMO set up by four teaching hospitals in Philadelphia, from 1988 to 1996. He was the architect of the Best Clinical and Administrative Practices program, funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Center for Health Care Strategies, working with medical leadership of Medicaid health plans around the country in learning collaboratives to improve the quality of care for their members. This program reached plans serving more than half of the Medicaid managed care population in the United States. Dr. Baron is a member of the Commonwealth Fund advisory group on Health Care Delivery System Reform and has served as co-Chair of the Public Health – Health Care Collaboration Workgroup of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He is a member of the Aspen Institute Health Strategy Group.

THIS is the dramatic moment the 140ft superyacht My Saga can be seen sinking off the coast of Italy after it was battered by a storm.
Nine people were rescued from the submerging vessel on Saturday as it sunk in the Gulf of Squillace, off the coast of Catanzaro Marina.
Dramatic footage shows the ship on the water for a few moments before it completely sinks stern-first.
An investigation to determine what caused the vessel to sink has been launched.

17 Flow State Triggers to Induce Flow
Using meditation to attain flow
So what exactly is a ‘Flow State Trigger’?
Psychological triggers
The following four strategies are internally driven, and they work by focusing our attention on the present; what’s right in front of us, or the activity we’re engaged in. For all the activities we’ve listed above to attain a Flow state, the presence of these triggers can definitely help the process along. They include:
Intense concentration – When we focus with undivided attention on a certain task. We aren’t engaging in activities with others. Like Csikszentmihalyi’s painter, we’re solo.
Goal clarity – numerous studies that we’ve already mentioned (and a whole wider range) support the idea that the goal we are working towards must be unambiguous. According to Kotler, that means the task at hand needs to be clearly delineated so our minds can stay focused on the present moment and action. Rather than wondering what the next step might be.
Immediate feedback – As Kotler says: “Clear goals tell us what we’re doing; immediate feedback tells us how to do it better”. Instant feedback also aligns our awareness and attention, as per Csikszentmihalyi’s early definitions of the nature of a Flow state.
Challenge to skills ratio – too-challenging tasks can make us feel overwhelmed, unequipped to face them, and anxious. A task that’s too simple, on the other hand, can induce boredom. To trigger flow, a goal should be halfway between these two extremes, Kotler believes.
Environmental triggers
Unlike the four psychological triggers we considered above, environmental triggers are aspects of our surroundings that help us get further into a flow state.
High consequences – Our concentration and focus are instinctively heightened when we detect a sense of danger in our environments. This is a subjective and perceived threat, for some, it could be speaking publicly or approaching another person. For the extreme athletes Kotler interviews, it may be a more immediate physical danger.
Rich environments – When we’re in new, complex, and dynamic or unpredictable environments, our focus and attention are enhanced. With regard to environmental complexity, it switches our attention on to the different information headed our way.
Deep embodiment – Here, Kotler is referring to total physical awareness, and when we discuss Flow in sports psychology in a short moment, this may make more sense. Succinctly, it relates in one way to our sense of control over our physical performance, and the link between this perceived control and goal achievement.
Social triggers
Social triggers have great importance if we are attempting to generate greater group flow. Some practical applications would include team sports, and workgroup dynamics.
Serious concentration – we aren’t solo for this type of Flow, rather we need to focus as a team on the present, to the exclusion of outside distractions.
Clear, shared goals – while similar to Kotler’s earlier mention of a clear goal as a psychological trigger, this has implications for how we communicate in groups.
Good communication – paying attention to and building on what others contribute to group discussions.
Familiarity – this relates to a collective language within the group, extending beyond verbal expression to encompass nonverbal cues, too. It’s easy to see how this can be linked closely to organizational culture in a work context.
Equal participation and skill level – in the workplace, this means different participants should have an equal part to play in the execution of a project. It’s connected to the idea that a certain challenge-skill ratio will be ideally suited to group members who are similarly equipped to handle the task.
Risk – strong parallels for this one with the ‘Rich Environments’ trigger for individuals. Kotler links this very nicely to the idea that innovation and risk go hand-in-hand.
Sense of control – without being able to link our group actions to the collective goal, there’s no spark of intrinsic motivation. Nor will we feel adequately equipped for tasks that are perceived to be too difficult.
Close listening – to what’s being said, here and now.
Always say yes – in Kotler’s words, “interactions should be additive more than argumentative”, as this both generates momentum and harbors a collaborative spirit.
Creative triggers
Creativity – Kotler unpacks this concept into pattern recognition and risk-taking. Think of how the famous apple fell on Newton’s head before he bravely proposed the concept of gravity for a good idea of what he’s discussing. Flow triggers creativity, which triggers flow, and so forth in a domino effect.

Another slew of whistleblowers have come forward with misconduct claims against the FBI following the Bureau's raid on former President Donald Trump's Florida estate.
FBI field offices in Miami, Salt Lake City, Buffalo and Newark face accusations that their upper management coerced agents to sign false affidavits, inflated terrorism caseloads to improve their apparent performance, engaged in illicit sexual activities, or concealed those of others, according to the Washington Times.
“The FBI is completely out of control and its culture and structure needs to change. Not only is the political bias completely out of control and disgustingly obvious, the FBI knows they will not be held accountable for their illegal behavior and misconduct,” said one Whistleblower in a letter to Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-Tx) of the House Judiciary Committee. This whistleblower alleged that FBI Director Christopher Wray ignored her allegations of sexual misconduct.
“Every Thanksgiving and Christmas, there’s a number of field offices, and the SAC picks somebody for everybody to follow because it helps them with their metrics,” Siuzdak told the outlet. “So they pick somebody to scrutinize, often without merit from wherever, and that’s the bad guy you need to follow and put your assets on.” The former agent dubbed the target a “Turkey Day Terrorist."
Siuzdak went on to discuss claims by clients at the Salt Like City office that the agents there faced pressure to sign false or misleading affidavits.
“If your affidavit kind of mischaracterizes something … agents shouldn’t be pressured to sign,” he said. “They should be pressured to sign correct and truthful affidavits.”
“You have to have so many terrorism cases per year in your office, or else you fail,” he said. “So they would come to us and say things like ‘Open up a case. I don’t care if it’s got merit or not. Just open it up. We only have nine, and we need 10 for me to pass.’”

Qatar has arrested at least 60 foreign workers who were protesting their lack of payment and their arbitrary deportation, a human rights advocacy group said three months before the biggest event in football takes place in Doha, the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
The 2022 World Cup is the most controversial in FIFA history, as Qatar has been facing accusations of vote-buying ever since its naming 12 years ago in 2010 and questions over its suitability for hosting the World Cup due to authorities' violations of human rights.
The arrests come amid a horrid reputation for Qatar, as the country is facing mounting international criticism over its labor practices ahead of the World Cup, as it heavily relies on foreign labor like its neighboring Gulf States.
Additionally, workers protesting going months without pay, as well as their deportation, and the Qatari authorities' reaction to the protests, are raising more concerns about the grave violations committed by Doha.
The head of a labor consultancy investigating the incident said the detentions cast new doubt on Qatar's pledges to improve the treatment of workers. "Is this really the reality coming out?" asked Mustafa Qadri, executive director of the group, Equidem Research.
"A number of protesters were detained for breaching public safety laws," Qatar said in a statement to the Associated Press on Sunday night.
Videos circulated online showed some 60 workers protesting their salaries on August 14 outside of Al Bandary International's offices in Doha, a conglomerate that includes construction, real estate, hotels, and food services. Equidem revealed that some of the protestors have not received their salaries for as many as seven months.
The Qatari government acknowledged that the firm hadn't paid salaries, claiming that its Labor Ministry would pay "all delayed salaries and benefits" to those affected.
"The company was already under investigation by the authorities for nonpayment of wages before the incident, and now further action is being taken after a deadline to settle outstanding salary payments was missed," the government further claimed.
Activists like Qadri have called on Doha to do more, particularly when it comes to ensuring workers receive their salaries on time and are protected from abusive employers.
"Have we all been duped by Qatar over the last several years?" Qadri asked, suggesting that recent reforms might have been "a cover" for authorities allowing prevailing labor practices to continue.
Meanwhile, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, a millionaire, said migrant workers "gain pride" from hard work when asked about the conditions of workers building World Cup stadiums and infrastructure in Qatar.
According to Infantino's assertions, workers would feel "proud" about building stadiums for the tournament that will be held later this year in the Gulf state, though they are subjected to horrid working conditions, leading many to die.
Infantino was asked if FIFA would make any sort of commitment to helping the families of workers who had died in Qatar.
He did not directly respond to the question, but he highlighted the introduction of a minimum wage and the "improved" employment rights in Qatar.
He, himself, said three people had died in construction work for the stadiums, acknowledging that the working conditions are highly hazardous.
Other workers, he said in an attempt to absolve FIFA from responsibility, "might have died in other works and so on, and of course, FIFA is not the police of the world or responsible for everything that happens around the world."
The Qatari authorities refute the number of deaths of migrant workers reported by some international media, claiming it had introduced a series of reforms to its employment regulations since its selection to host the 2022 World Cup.
The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) revealed the financial prizes that the participating teams will receive in the upcoming World Cup Qatar 2022. The total sum of financial prizes for the international tournament, which will be played between November 21 and December 18, will be $440 million. Simultaneously, migrant construction workers are still not being paid their already meager wages compares to what the average Qatari makes.

In March, another Tennessee state lawmaker, Rep. Robin Smith, resigned from her position after being implicated in an alleged wire fraud scheme involving Casada and pleaded guilty to federal charges.

According to a 20-count indictment unsealed Tuesday, Casada, Cothren, and the other conspirator further sought to obtain state funds for Phoenix Solutions, Casada’s political consulting business, and a political consulting business owned by the other conspirator. It allegedly was further part of the conspiracy for Casada and the other conspirator to enrich themselves by obtaining bribes and kickbacks from Cothren, in exchange for securing the approval of Phoenix Solutions as a mailer program vendor.
They are to make initial appearances before a U.S. Magistrate Judge later Tuesday.

No. Rather, He is using a penetrating question to push the man to think through the implications of his own words, to understand the concept of Jesus’ goodness and, most especially, the man’s lack of goodness. The young ruler "went away sad" (Mark 10:22) because he realized that although he had devoted himself to keeping the commandments, he had failed to keep the first and greatest of the commandments—love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength (Matthew 22:37-38). The man’s riches were of more worth to him than God, and thus he was not "good" in the eyes of God.
Jesus’ fundamental lesson here is that goodness flows not from a man’s deeds, but rather from God Himself. Jesus invites the man to follow Him, the only means of doing good by God’s ultimate standard. Jesus describes to the young ruler what it means to follow Him—to be willing to give up everything, thus putting God first. When one considers that Jesus is drawing a distinction between man’s standard of goodness and God’s standard, it becomes clear that following Jesus is good. The command to follow Christ is the definitive proclamation of Christ’s goodness. Thus, by the very standard Jesus is exhorting the young ruler to adopt, Jesus is good. And it necessarily follows that if Jesus is indeed good by this standard, Jesus is implicitly declaring His deity.
Thus, Jesus’ question to the man is designed not to deny His deity, but rather to draw the man to recognize Christ’s divine identity. Such an interpretation is substantiated by passages such as John 10:11 wherein Jesus declares Himself to be “the good shepherd.” Similarly in John 8:46, Jesus asks, “Can any of you prove me guilty of sin?” Of course the answer is "no." Jesus was “without sin” (Hebrews 4:15), holy and undefiled (Hebrews 7:26), the only One who “knew no sin” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
The logic can thus be summarized as follows:
1: Jesus claims only God is good.
2: Jesus claims to be good.
3: Therefore, Jesus claims to be God.
Such a claim makes perfect sense in light of the flow of Mark’s narrative with regards to the unfolding revelation of Jesus’ real identity. It is only before the high priest in Mark 14:62 that the question of Jesus’ identity is explicitly clarified. The story of the rich young ruler is one in a sequence of stories designed to point readers toward Jesus as the eternal, divine, incarnate Son of God.

The UK economy witnessed in 2020 an 11% drop, the biggest since the Office for National Statistics (ONS) began keeping records and the UK’s largest GDP slump since 1709, the year of the ‘Great Frost,’ when the country’s economy shrank by 13.4%, according to historical data provided by the Bank of England.

ONS analyst Craig McLaren explained: “The health service faced higher costs than we initially estimated, meaning its overall contribution to the economy was lower,”, adding that retailers also faced higher costs, which prompted statisticians to go over their contribution to the economy.
Last year, the British economy largely returned to its pre-pandemic levels. However, since the start of this year, it has been increasingly battered by rising inflation, which has reached its highest since 1982, and analysts now fear the country could tip into a recession by the end of the year.
The GDP in Britain dropped by 0.1% between April and June. In the previous quarter, the UK GDP witnessed a rise of 0.8%. It is worth noting that the ONS also stated that in June, the UK economy fell by 0.6%. A recession is marked by a GDP fall in two consecutive quarters.
Christopher Dembik, head of macro analysis at Saxo Bank, said that “What Brexit has not done by itself, Brexit coupled with Covid and high inflation have succeeded in doing,” adding that “The UK economy is crushed.”
The ONS is due to publish its updated growth figures for 2021 and the first half of 2022 in September. The agency routinely updates its GDP estimates when it obtains more data.

Renowned Egyptian archaeologist Zahi Hawass will be launching an initiative to bring the Rosetta Stone back to Egypt from the British Museum, as the latest move against museums that have looted artifacts away from their homeland and relocated them to their imperial captors' countries.
Hawass, a prominent archaeologist and a former antiquities minister, remarked that European peoples "are really awakening" to this cause.
The stone, aged 2,200 years old, has been in the British Museum since 1802, taken from France after the Napoleonic Wars on a signed treaty. The stone has unraveled the mystery of Ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics and is one of the three artifacts that Hawass is demanding to return to Egypt from Europe. The other treasures are a bust of Queen Nefertiti which is stored in Berlin, and a sculpted Zodiac ceiling at the Louvre in Paris.
“I believe those three items are unique and their home should be in Egypt. We collected all the evidence that proves that these three items are stolen from Egypt,” he told The National.
Hawass looks to relaunch his efforts by pushing forward a petition signed by a group of Egyptian intellectuals which he will send to European museums in October.
“The Rosetta Stone is the icon of Egyptian identity. The British Museum has no right to show this artefact to the public.”
The museum said there hasn't been a formal request to return the tablet to Egypt, arguing that not everyone holding Egyptology as an interest shares Hawass' "fixation" with the stone.
However, the trend is turning in a different direction, as Germany has recently taken the decision to return the looted Benin Bronzes to Nigeria, praising itself as "moving into the future."
“There is a change in the air in this respect,” said Alexander Herman, the director of the Institute of Art and Law in Britain. “Some of the old arguments, the ones that used to hold sway for so long, are beginning to wear thin.”
Soldiers in Napoleon's army stumbled upon the Rosetta Stone while they were building a fort near Rashid - or, Rosetta - realizing the importance of hieroglyphics. The stone, which enabled the understanding of hieroglyphics for the first time in hundreds of years, became one of the museum's most famous treasures.
Hawass asserts that the stone left Egypt illegally, and campaigned for its return when he was in office as antiquities minister. During his reign, he brought back thousands of artifacts to Egypt.
In 2003, Hawass informed former British Museum director Neil MacGregor that he will battle the museum if it did not return the Stone.
"They left Egypt completely illegally and they should come back," he said, asserting that he will not back down anytime soon on his quest to return the Rosetta Stone to the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, even if it takes over a lifetime.
“If I did not succeed, at least people after me will continue,” he said. “This is a case that you cannot stop.”

According to Politico, the US has been shipping and delivering more weapons than declared to Ukraine.
Last Friday, a high-ranking Pentagon representative affirmed during a briefing that the US has been shipping HARM anti-radar missiles (that are used for targeting radar systems) to Ukraine without actually announcing it publicly.
"When we first announced the initial provision of HARM missiles, the way that we characterized it in the announcement was not specific. We described that we were providing a counter-radar capability," the official said.
Politico, however, added in their report: "If true — and it’s not clear that it is — that would go against what the administration has said publicly."
Unlimited 'aid' packages
In addition, Politico’s sources also said that the new package of military aid to Kiev announced last week also includes Excalibur guided artillery shells, a GPS-guided and extended-range weapon - a matter not mentioned separately in the Pentagon’s official announcement. Furthermore, Politico obtained the official notification that the US Administration handed over to Congress in regards to the recent aid package.
In May of this year, $40 billion was sent to Ukraine, then in June, the US sent arm supplies in the amount of $450 million, followed by another weapons package of $1 billion at the beginning of this month.
According to the report, this document mentions that the weapons sent to Ukraine are not "limited" to what’s featured in the notification. "We admit this is all speculation. Ukraine has also been receiving weapons from Germany that Germany doesn't even sufficiently own, as was confirmed most recently by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz with the anticipated shipment to be delivered in November, according to reports.
Interestingly, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu previously said the arms supplied by the West to Ukraine were ending up on the black market and spreading across West Asia. Even Kiev's policy of arming civilians and paramilitary organizations to repel Russian soldiers has already had unintended repercussions, with stories of gang warfare, looting, and extrajudicial killings emerging from Ukraine since the conflict began.

Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro is a "cheap" copy of his former US counterpart, Donald Trump, for constantly having something negative to say about the Brazilian election system, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the chief candidate for the Brazilian presidency, said on Monday.
Bolsonaro is habitually making allegations that the Brazilian election system is riddled with fraud with little to no evidence that would not even amount to sufficient, which has brought life to fears that the far-right president might try to cling to power if he loses in the upcoming election in October.
The right-wing President "has lied, spread fake news, and defied our institutions," Lula said in an interview with foreign correspondents.
"He's a cheap copy of Trump," added the leftist leader who was president of Brazil from 2003 to 2010. However, he said he was confident Brazilian institutions would adhere to the election result "without question."
Bolsonaro has long been critical of the computerized voting machines, which have been in use since 1996 in Brazil. That led to fears that the "Tropical Trump" will be following in the footsteps of his American counterpart upon his potential loss in the upcoming election.
A new poll ahead of Brazil's presidential election in October shows former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva maintaining a significant lead over Jair Bolsonaro, but the right-wing incumbent is gaining ground.
Lula's strong showing in the poll means there is a small chance he could ultimately receive over 50% in the first round, avoiding a runoff against 67-year-old Bolsonaro.
"Trump also tried to avoid accepting the result. They tried to invade the Capitol, and in the end, he had to give in," Lula said. Similarly, as there have been fears surrounding this issue in the United States, the Brazilian public is highly concerned that this will happen in the Latin American country, too.
Bolsonaro claimed Monday that he would respect the results, "as long as the elections are clean and transparent."
Thousands of Brazilians flocked earlier this month to the University of Sao Paulo's law school to stand up for Brazil's democratic institutions. Nearly 45 years ago, a similar gathering took place where citizens joined together to denounce military dictatorship under far-right then-President Emílio Garrastazu Médici.
During the protests, the people of Brazil heard statements defending the democratic process and the nation's electoral framework, which President Jair Bolsonaro has regularly attacked in the spur of his reelection campaign.
The Brazilian President adopted extremist views against women, Afro-Brazilians, and the left. The deforestation of the lungs of the planet, the Amazon rainforest, has surged exponentially under his watch.
Before Jair Bolsonaro’s term began in January 2019, the Brazilian Amazon hadn’t recorded a single year with more than 10,000 square kilometers of deforestation in over a decade. Between 2009 and 2018, the average was 6,500 square kilometers. Since then, the annual average leaped to 11,405 square kilometers.
