Three cruise brands will drop their requirement for passengers to show proof of Covid vaccination from next month.
Norwegian, Regent Seven Seas, and Oceania – three of the largest brands in the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) Holdings fleet – said they will be the first US-based cruise firms to enact this rule change from 3 September.
During the coronavirus pandemic, it was compulsory for all guests over the age of five to show proof of having been jabbed.
In less than a month’s time, unvaccinated travellers aged 12 and over will only have to show proof of a negative rapid antigen or PCR test, taken professionally within 72 hours of the ship setting sail.
Those who are vaccinated can embark on the cruise ship without a pre-departure Covid test.
Frank Del Rio, CEO and president of Miami-based NCL, said in a statement: “Our long-awaited revisions to our testing and vaccination requirements bring us closer in line with the rest of society, which has learned to adapt and live with Covid-19, and makes it simpler and easier for our loyal guests to cruise on our three best-in-class brands.”
A fourth firm – Royal Caribbean has announced that it will no longer demand full vaccination from 5 September for passengers on some routes: namely those from Los Angeles, Galveston in Texas, New Orleans in Louisiana, and any of its European ports.
However, passengers looking to disembark in the Grand Cayman – the largest island in the Cayman Islands – will need to be fully vaccinated, while those looking to get off in Greece or Spain will need to take a Covid test, the company said.
This month, Royal Caribbean was one of the three firms – including Carnival Cruise Lines and MSC Cruises – to relax testing requirements for vaccinated passengers on short voyages.
Also earlier this month, Virgin Voyages eliminated the need for pre-boarding Covid tests for vaccinated passengers.
The changes come after the US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention officially ended its pandemic rules for cruise ships by allowing the Conditional Sail Order to lapse in July.
Meanwhile, the first cruise ship to reach New Zealand since the start of the pandemic in early 2020 docked in Auckland on Friday after remaining travel restrictions – including those imposed on maritime arrivals – were lifted last month.
The Pacific Explorer ship operated by Carnival Australia has been on a 12-day return trip to Fiji that departed from Sydney. The 2,000 passengers and crew were greeted with a Maori welcome at a reception event attended by PM Jacinda Ardern.
Passengers arriving in New Zealand via international cruise ships will still be required to be fully vaccinated – with their latest jab at least 14 days before embarking on the vessel – but they will not need to complete a Covid test on arrival.

Expert group declares official drought amid prolonged dry spell, meaning water rationing may take place
A drought has been declared across wide swathes of England after a meeting of experts.
The prolonged dry conditions, with some areas of the country not receiving significant rainfall all summer, have caused the National Drought Group to declare an official drought.
The Environment Agency has moved into drought in eight of its 14 areas: Devon and Cornwall, Solent and South Downs, Kent and south London, Herts and north London, East Anglia, Thames, Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire, and the east Midlands.
Documents seen by the Guardian show the Environment Agency expects a further two areas will move into drought later in August. These are Yorkshire and West Midlands.
The group met earlier this summer to discuss the lack of rainfall and decided to put the country in “prolonged dry weather status”, the first of four emergency dry weather stages, and one step before drought. Now, the country has been tipped into that second stage.
This means water rationing may take place across the country, with fewer barriers for water companies who wish to ban customers from using hosepipes and washing the car with tap water. More severe measures can also be put in place at this stage, including banning the use of sprinklers the cleaning of buildings, vehicles and windows.
So far this year hosepipe bans have been implemented by Southern Water and South East Water. Welsh Water will implement a ban from 19 August, and Yorkshire Water from 26 August. Thames Water has also said it is “ready to go” with a hosepipe ban.
Those in the meeting were shown harrowing statistics about England’s food security. Half of the potato crop is expected to fail as it cannot be irrigated, and even crops that are usually drought tolerant such as maize have been failing.
The group was told “irrigation options are diminishing with reservoirs being emptied fast”, and losses of between 10% and 50% are expected for crops including carrots, onions, sugar beet, apples and hops. Milk production is also down nationally due to a lack of food for cows, and wildfires are putting large areas of farmland at risk.
Farmers are deciding whether to drill crops for next year, and there are concerns that many will decide not to, with dire consequences for the 2023 harvest.
The government was keen to stress that essential water supplies for households are not at risk.

Water minister Steve Double said: “We are currently experiencing a second heatwave after what was the driest July on record for parts of the country. Action is already being taken by the government and other partners including the Environment Agency to manage the impacts. All water companies have reassured us that essential supplies are still safe, and we have made it clear it is their duty to maintain those supplies.
The group contains representatives from water companies, the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), the Environment Agency (EA), the National Farmers’ Union, Natural England, CCW, Ofwat, Water UK and the Drinking Water Inspectorate, as well as the Angling Trust and the Rivers Trust.
While previous dry summers have been offset by wet autumns, meaning the worst effects on water supply have not hit, those present at the meeting were told that was unlikely to be the case this year, with arid conditions predicted to continue due to climate breakdown.
Slides from the EA say: “An increased chance of warm conditions through August to October is consistent with an increased westerly flow from warmer than average seas, and our warming climate. With a typical north-west (wetter) to south-east (drier) gradation in rainfall most likely, there are no strong signals for a significant amelioration of current dry conditions.”
Catherine Sefton, a hydrologist at the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology, said: “In the south-east of England, the continued dry weather means that many river flows remain notably or exceptionally low, and hydrological forecasts suggest this situation will persist over the next few months.
“Where river flows are supported by groundwater that recharges during the winter months, the impact of dry weather is reduced. But a continuation of below average rainfall into a second winter would likely result in serious hydrological and environmental drought, with further intensification of the water supply restrictions and fish rescues that we are starting to see in the south-east.”

The Biden administration is defending a federal ban on gun-ownership for medical marijuana users, urging a federal judge to dismiss a challenge to the statute.
Medical marijuana users should be prohibited from owning guns because the substance impairs the "judgment, cognition, and physical coordination" of those under its influence, lawyers for the Justice Department argued. Florida agricultural commissioner Nikki Fried (D.) is spearheading the lawsuit against the government for its prohibition on people who consume cannabis products with a prescription from owning firearms.
"I'm suing the Biden administration because people's rights are being limited," the commissioner said in April after filing the suit. "Medical marijuana is legal. Guns are legal. This is about people's rights and their freedoms to responsibly have both."
The administration's stance stands in contrast to President Joe Biden's rhetoric on marijuana. Biden has endorsed decriminalization and argued the federal government shouldn’t interfere with state affairs when it comes to marijuana laws.
The Biden administration’s inconsistent stance on the drug mirrors that of Vice President Kamala Harris. As California attorney general, Harris was responsible for locking up thousands for marijuana-related crimes, the Washington Free Beacon reported in 2019. That same year, as she was running for president, she said she was pre-disposed to like smoking marijuana due to her Jamaican heritage. The comment drew stern criticism from her father, who said she was stereotyping people on the island.
Most Americans support both the legalization of medical marijuana and the private ownership of firearms. Ninety-one percent of Americans believe that weed should be legal in some form, according to a Pew Research Center poll.
Reason magazine pointed out that the Justice Department's argument citing marijuana's effect on the mind "could be applied to many legal drugs" such as alcohol or prescription opioids that are legal for gun-owners to consume.
In its motion to dismiss the lawsuit, the Justice Department cited historical disarmament of "groups deemed dangerous," such as 17th-century Catholics and American Indians, as precedent for the practice of preventing certain groups from owning weapons.
Fried is running in the Democratic primary to challenge Republican governor Ron DeSantis in November. Fried and the governor appear to be on the same page regarding medical marijuana users' Second Amendment rights.
"Floridians should not be deprived of a constitutional right for using a medication lawfully," DeSantis's office said.

The FBI is dissolving before our eyes into a rogue security service akin to those in Eastern Europe during the Cold War.
Take the FBI's deliberately asymmetrical application of the law. This week the bureau surprise-raided the home of former President Donald Trump – an historical first.
A massive phalanx of FBI agents swooped into the Trump residence while he was not home, to confiscate his personal property, safe, and records. All of this was over an archival dispute of presidential papers common to many former presidents. Agents swarmed the entire house, including the wardrobe closet of the former first lady.
Note we are less than 90 days out from a midterm election, and this was not just a raid, but a political act.
The Democratic Party is anticipated to suffer historical losses. Trump was on the verge of announcing his 2024 presidential candidacy. In many polls, he remains the Republican front-runner for the nomination – and well ahead of incumbent President Joe Biden in a putative 2024 rematch.
In 2016 then FBI Director James Comey announced that candidate Hillary Clinton was guilty of destroying subpoenaed emails – a likely felony pertaining to her tenure as secretary of state. Yet he all but pledged that she would not be prosecuted given her status as a presidential candidate.
As far as targeting presidential candidates, Trump was impeached in 2020 ostensibly for delaying military aid to Ukraine by asking Ukrainian officials to investigate more fully the clearly corrupt Biden family – given Joe Biden at the time was a likely possible presidential opponent in 2020.
The FBI has devolved into a personal retrieval service for the incorrigible Biden family. It suppressed, for political purposes, information surrounding Hunter Biden's missing laptop on the eve of the 2020 election.
Previously, the FBI never pursued Hunter's fraudulently registered firearm, his mysterious foreign income, his felonious crack cocaine use, or his regular employment of foreign prostitutes.
Yet in a pre-dawn raid just before the 2020 election, the FBI targeted the home of journalist James O'Keefe on grounds that someone had passed to him the lost and lurid diary of Ashley Biden, Biden's wayward daughter.
At various times, in Stasi-style the FBI has publicly shackled Trump economic advisor Peter Navarro, swarmed the office of Trump's legal counsel Rudy Giuliani, and sent a SWAT team to surround the house of Trump ally Roger Stone. Meanwhile, terrorists and cartels walk with impunity across an open border.
FBI Director Christopher Wray last week cut short his evasive testimony before Congress. He claimed he had to leave for a critical appointment – only to use his FBI Gulfstream luxury jet to fly to his favorite vacation spot in the Adirondacks….

Wray took over from disgraced interim FBI Director Andrew McCabe. The latter admitted lying repeatedly to federal investigators and signed off on a fraudulent FBI FISA application. He faced zero legal consequences.
McCabe, remember, was also the point man in the softball Hillary Clinton email investigation – while his wife was a political candidate and recipient of thousands of dollars from a political action committee with close ties to the Clinton family.
McCabe took over from disgraced FBI Director James Comey. On 245 occasions, Comey claimed under oath before the House Intelligence Committee that he had no memory or knowledge of key questions concerning his tenure. With impunity, he leaked confidential FBI memos to the media.
Comey took over from Director Robert Mueller. Implausibly, Mueller swore under oath that he had no knowledge, either of the Steele dossier or of Fusion GPS, the firm that commissioned Christopher Steele to compile the dossier. But those were the very twin catalysts that had prompted his entire special investigation into the Russian collusion hoax.
FBI legal counsel Kevin Clinesmith was convicted of a felony for altering an FBI warrant request to spy on an innocent Carter Page.
The FBI, by Comey's own public boasts, bragged how it caught National Security Advisor designate General Michael Flynn in its Crossfire Hurricane Russian collusion hoax.
As special counsel, Mueller then fired two of his top investigators Lisa Page and Peter Strzok for improper personal and professional behavior. He then staggered their releases to mask their collaborative wrongdoing.
Mueller's team deleted critical cell phone evidence under subpoena that might well have revealed systemic FBI-related bias.
The FBI interferes with and warps national elections. It hires complete frauds as informants who are far worse than its targets. It humiliates or exempts government and elected officials based on their politics. It violates the civil liberties of individual American citizens.
The FBI's highest officials now routinely mislead Congress. They have erased or altered court and subpoenaed evidence. They illegally leak confidential material to the media. And they have lied under oath to federal investigators.
The agency has become dangerous to Americans and an existential threat to their democracy and rule of law. The FBI should be dispersing its investigatory responsibilities to other government investigative agencies that have not yet lost the public's trust. Units from across the country converged at Edwards Air Force Base in September to execute the multi-domain, large force test series exercise known as Orange Flag. The latest feat involved a dramatic change in how test professionals engage with test data.
Orange Flag is an exercise born from a need to maximize resources across air, land, sea, space and cyber domains to include joint and coalition forces. The exercise aims to bring test as close as possible to the warfighter through combat relevant testing early in the development cycle.
This iteration of the exercise integrated five land units, space and cyber capabilities and more than 40 aircraft. The test activities spanned over 40,000 square miles of California and Nevada test ranges.
"Orange Flag is an opportunity for participants to integrate technology into operationally representative scenarios at any and all technology readiness levels,” said Maj. Brandon “Siphon” Burfeind, Orange Flag director. “Our goal is to disrupt traditional test timelines and expose technologies to difficult situations early and often.”
Combatant commands require systems that can operate in dense, complex environments as a part of joint, coalition and multi-domain teams. Occurring three times annually, Orange Flag seeks to place instrumented test aircraft into operationally representative environments to achieve test objectives for COCOMs and participating units.
“Large force, multi-domain test requires new ways to interact with data and report results,” said Christopher Valentino, Orange Flag engineering lead. “We are generating interactive, app-based reporting tools as a means of ushering in next gen data engagement.”
This exercise focused on evaluating data driven assessments of interoperability, lethality, and survivability.
“We are excited to bring a new set of capabilities and test objectives to Orange Flag in 2021,” said Maj. Daniel “Beeper” Prudhomme, Orange Flag operations director.
Notable successes in the 2020 test series include the progress made in connecting F-35 Lightning IIs directly to Army fires without human-in-the-loop intervention and the way complex kill webs are analyzed.

Labour MPs have blasted the Conservative leadership frontrunner over exploiting the topic of anti-Semitism to prop her campaign
The British foreign secretary and the Conservative Party leadership favorite, Liz Truss, has earned a scathing rebuke from the FDA union representing senior civil and public servants, after she vowed to “protect British Jewry” from “creeping antisemitism” and “woke culture” in the civil service. The FDA general secretary, Dave Penman, called her remarks “insulting” and showing “a lack of leadership.”
“The Conservatives have been in government for more than 12 years now and, for most of that time, Liz Truss has been a minister. So, accusations of ‘civil service wokeism’ are a little ironic, given it’s essentially a criticism of their own leadership,” Penman told the British media on Friday, adding that Truss’ remarks go “further than the usual dog-whistle politics” and many civil servants find them “both insulting and abhorrent.”
Truss is currently running against former Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak to succeed Boris Johnson as party leader and prime minister of the UK. Last week, she was reportedly polling 26 points ahead of her competitor. Yet, according to Penman, her recent statements show she might not exactly fit the job.
“A prime minister is also minister for the civil service,” he said, adding that leveling “unfounded inflammatory accusations” demonstrates a lack of leadership. Such harsh criticism has been sparked by a written statement Truss made following her speech at a Manchester synagogue. There, she blasted the “woke” civil service culture that supposedly “strays into anti-Semitism” while praising the “Jewish values” she said were “Conservative values and British values too.”
“Every organization has its culture, but it’s not fixed, it can be changed,” she said in the statement. Truss also vowed to check if schools are doing enough to educate students and teachers about anti-Semitism and said that universities should be “ridded” of that issue as well, according to her team. According to Penman, though, the foreign secretary failed to provide a single example of anti-Semitism among the civil servants.
A source within her Conservative leadership campaign team also told the British media that the Labour Party had become a “talking shop for anti-Semitism and Anti-Zionism” under the leadership of Sir Keir Starmer and, previously, Jeremy Corbyn. “This has increased anxieties within the Jewish community,” the source added.

‘Fatwah’ author Salman Rushdie attacked with knife
The novelist was about to speak in New York when he was stabbed
Author Salman Rushdie was attacked on Friday in New York State, while preparing to give a lecture. Video from the event shows security swarming the stage and Rushdie lying on the ground. Initial reports said he was stabbed. The attacker has been arrested.
Rushdie, 75, was preparing to give a speech at the Chautauqua Institution. Unverified photos circulating on social media show the Indian-born British-American novelist being taken away in an ambulance.
“Rushdie suffered an apparent stab wound to the neck,” the New York State Police said in a statement said. He was airlifted by helicopter to a local hospital.
Authorities have not yet identified the assailant. Major outlets have speculated the attack could be related to the 1989 fatwa declared by Iran’s late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, offering a bounty on Rushdie’s head for his novel ‘The Satanic Verses,’ declared blasphemous in the Islamic Republic.
While Iran has officially backtracked from the fatwa, an Iranian religious foundation offered a $3.3 million bounty for Rushdie in 2012.

Judge Who Issued Mar-a-Lago Raid Warrant Was Terminated By Man Who’s Sentence Trump Commuted
The Gateway Pundit has been following all the details of the digression of the United States into Third World status. Earlier in the week, it was reported that the judge, Judge Bruce Reinhart, was employed as an assistant US Attorney in the very office that was prosecuting Jeffrey Epstein. He resigned that position only to join the defense counsel of Epstein’s accomplices. Epstein was given what was referred to as a non-prosecutorial “sweetheart plea deal” orchestrated by Alex Acosta. Acosta was later interviewed by the Trump transition team for the job of Labor Secretary. When asked about the Epstein deal, Acosta says he was told to back off and that Epstein “belonged to intelligence“.
Fast forward to just two months ago and the very same Judge Reinhart recused himself from the Trump v Clinton, et al. case. The statute he cites, 28 USC § 455, states he “shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned” among other explanations.
As if those two circumstances weren’t enough, there’s more: in April of 2018, Bruce Reinhart was terminated as counsel for Philip Esformes, the notorious Medicare/Medicaid fraudster.
Philip Esformes was one of approximately 90 people that President Trump commuted or pardoned back in December 2020.
I guess it all could just be a coincidence.

FBI Removed 'Eleven Sets' Of Classified Docs In Raid; Allies Insist Trump Declassified
Update (1325ET): The DOJ leak-fest continues, this time with the Wall Street Journal reporting that the FBI "removed 11 sets of classified documents, including some marked as top secret and meant to only be available in special government facilities" (much like the 7 'top secret' email chains on Hillary Clinton's computer).
The Federal Bureau of Investigation agents took around 20 boxes of items, binders of photos, a handwritten note and the executive grant of clemency for Mr. Trump’s ally Roger Stone, a list of items removed from the property shows. Also included in the list was information about the “President of France,” according to the three-page list. The list is contained in a seven-page document that also includes the warrant to search the premises which was granted by a federal magistrate judge in Florida. -WSJ
One set of the recovered documents were marked as "Various classified/TS/SCI documents," referring to sensitive or top-secret information.
The agency also claims they collected four sets of top secret documents, three sets of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents.
According to the Journal's subheadline, Trump allies insist the documents were declassified by the former president.
The search and seizure warrant, signed by U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart, shows that FBI agents sought to search “the 45 Office,” as well as “all storage rooms and all other rooms or areas within the premises used or available to be used by [the former president] and his staff and in which boxes or documents could be stored, including all structures or buildings on the estate.”
The former president and his team don’t have the affidavit, which would provide more detail about the FBI’s investigation, according to people familiar with the process. His lawyers have asked for a more specific account of what was removed from Mar-a-Lago. -WSJ

Health officials have found poliovirus in New York City wastewater, according to an announcement from the city's Department of Health and Mental Hygiene on Friday. The discovery likely means that polio is circulating, currently undetected, in the city.

The chief executive officer of Moderna, Stéphane Bancel, compared the COVID vaccine to Apple’s iPhone, stating that consumers will get a new version every year.
According to a recent interview with CNN Business, Stéphane Bancel predicted that in the near future, a yearly vaccine would be developed that would protect against multiple strains of COVID-19, the flu, and other common viruses with a single dose.
Moderna plans to release a single-dose annual booster for coronavirus, flu, and other respiratory virus within five years.
“We think we can put in a single product a lot of mRNAs, taking care of all of those viruses. And that’s once a year. You should be able to get an annual booster, a single dose, that has, in the vial, all those mRNAs for all those viruses that are, of course, adapted to the strain of a season like flu, like COVID strain, and so on,” Bencel told CNN.
Bencel compared the development of the Covid shot to the process of getting yearly upgrades on an iPhone.
“You don’t get the amazing camera, amazing everything the first time you get an iPhone, but you get a lot of things,” he said.
“A lot of us buy a new iPhone every September, and you get new apps and you get refreshed apps. And that’s exactly the same idea, which is you’ll get Covid and flu and RSV in your single dose,” he added.
A peer-reviewed study from researchers in France has concluded that both the experimental Pfizer and Moderna vaccines significantly increase the risk of myocarditis compared to the unvaccinated, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.
While both mRNA therapies were found to be linked to the life-threatening heart condition, the Moderna jabs results were particularly shocking, especially among young adults, as researchers found the risk for myocarditis diagnosis following the Moderna jab was 44 times higher risk for individuals aged 18 to 24 years old, according to the study.
According to the CDC data, the incidence of heart inflammation was 4.41 excess per 100,000 who received the Pfizer/BioNTech for males aged 18-39 versus 6.27 excess cases per 100,000 for Moderna, Reuters reported.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported that a 37-year-old was on life support following a reaction to a Moderna booster shot which caused brain rupture and two cardiac arrests.
Om Prakash Mohapatra has been fighting for his life since January 15th due to a severe reaction from his booster shot. After thorough testing and consultation with family, doctors took Om off life support on February 4th.
According to a fundraiser page, Om was in perfect health till he received the booster shot. It started as nausea, deteriorated quickly, and turned into heart failure on the morning of Jan 15th.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Anne Heche is on life support after suffering a brain injury in a fiery crash a week ago and her survival isn’t expected, according to a statement from a representative.
The actor, who is in a coma and in critical condition, is being kept on life support for possible organ donation, according to the statement released Thursday night on behalf of her family and friends.
Heche, who’s been hospitalized at the Grossman Burn Center at West Hills hospital north of Los Angeles, suffered a “severe anoxic brain injury,” the statement said. Such an injury is caused by a sustained lack of oxygen to the brain.
“She is not expected to survive,” the statement said. “It has long been her choice to donate her organs and she is being kept on life support to determine if any are viable.”
On the morning of Aug. 5, Heche’s car smashed into a house in a neighborhood in west Los Angeles and a fire erupted with the car embedded inside the home.
Earlier Thursday, police said they were investigating Heche for driving under the influence. Detectives with a search warrant took a sample of her blood and found narcotics in her system, LAPD spokesperson Officer Jeff Lee said.

Google execs threaten workers with layoffs: ‘There will be blood on the streets’
Google executives are telling their employees to shape up or ship out, warning that layoffs are coming if results don’t meet expectations.
Employees who work in the Google Cloud sales department said that senior leadership told them that there will be an “overall examination of sales productivity and productivity in general.”
If third quarter results “don’t look up, [then] there will be blood on the streets,” according to a message conveyed to the sales team. The warning was first reported by Insider.
Employees told the news site that they are fearful of layoffs after the company quietly extended its hiring freeze this month without making an announcement.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai told his employees in an all hands meeting late last month that they needed to improve their focus and productivity due to fierce economic headwinds that have forced widespread belt-tightening all throughout the technology sector.
Pichai said that he wanted to solicit ideas from his employees on how to get “better results faster.”
“It’s clear we are facing a challenging macro environment with more uncertainty ahead,” Pichai said.

Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO and founder of Facebook’s parent company Meta, blamed “one of the worst downturns that we’ve seen in recent history” for a series of cost-cutting measures, including a hiring freeze.
Zuckerberg also made it clear that the company will part ways with employees who do not perform up to par.

Estonia and Finland discussed missile plans that would close the Baltic Sea to Russia, Tallinn says
Tallinn and Helsinki have discussed integration of coastal missile batteries that would enable the two NATO members to blockade the Russian Navy in the Gulf of Finland, Estonia’s defense minister announced on Friday. This would turn the Baltic Sea into a “NATO internal sea,” the official said, echoing comments made earlier by Polish and Lithuanian leaders.
“We need to integrate our coastal defenses. The flight range of Estonian and Finnish missiles is greater than the width of the Gulf of Finland,” Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur told the Finnish newspaper Iltalehti.
Finland’s MTO85M coastal missiles have a range of over 100 kilometers. The Gulf is about 82 kilometers across from Helsinki to Tallinn. Estonia plans to buy Israeli Blue Spear missiles later this year, which have a range of almost 300 kilometers.
“The Baltic Sea will be NATO’s internal sea when Finland and Sweden have joined NATO. Compared with what it is today, the situation is changing,” Pevkur said, adding that the two countries will then be able to close the sea to the Russian Navy if need be.
Finland and Sweden’s application to NATO was met with greatest enthusiasm by Poland and the former Soviet republics on the Baltic Sea. Following the alliance’s summit in Spain at the end of June, Polish President Andrzej Duda and Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics both said they hoped for the Baltic to become a “NATO lake.”
Pevkur said he discussed airspace with his Finnish colleague as well, though he dodged Iltaleht’s question whether the US will deploy its F-35 fighter jets to Estonia.
“For me, this is one airspace,” Pevkur added. “Finnish airspace cannot be protected if Estonian airspace is not protected at the same time, and vice versa. Fighter jets cross the 80-kilometer-wide Gulf of Finland in minutes.”
Estonia has been one of the most outspoken NATO members in urging a confrontation with Russia. On Thursday, Tallinn announced that it would ban entry to Russians with EU Schengen visas starting next week, and demolish all Soviet-era monuments “as soon as possible.”

Top Biden aide Anita Dunn reveals conflicts of interest in multi-million dollar fortune
President Biden’s senior adviser, Anita Dunn, has revealed a vast investment fortune worth up to $48 million — as well as a series of conflicts of interest.
Mandatory ethics disclosure forms made public this week shed light on Dunn’s finances after the longtime Democratic operative left the White House last year following a prior short stint — in what was widely seen as a way to avoid making the reports.
Dunn and her husband, attorney Bob Bauer, hold between $16.8 million and $48.2 million in investments, according to papers released by the US Office of Government Ethics.
The couple’s sprawling portfolio includes a vast array of companies regulated by or working with the federal government — from banks, Big Tech and energy companies to drugmakers and arms contractors.
Firms in which the couple hold a financial stake include Amazon, Apple, Bank of America, Boeing, Cisco, Comcast, ConocoPhillips, Exxon, Facebook, General Dynamics, General Motors, Google, Halliburton, Johnson & Johnson, Lockheed Martin, Oracle, Phillip Morris, Tesla and Wells Fargo.
The Dunns also hold a stake worth between $1 million and $5 million in marketing firm Stagwell Inc, which in 2015 bought Democrat-affiliated campaign contractor SKDKnickerbocker, where Dunn worked as managing director.
White House spokesman Chris Meagher told CNBC that Dunn “will need to divest her holdings and is recused from all matters involving SKDK and her past clients” — meaning Dunn won’t be able to partake in much of the decision-making involving either the private sector or Democratic politics, since SKDK’s client list includes Biden himself and scores of governors, as well as House and Senate members.

The warrant that authorized the search of former President Donald Trump’s residence at Mar-a-Lago shows it was issued by U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart on Aug. 5, 2022, at 12:12 p.m.—nearly three full days before the Justice Department and FBI conducted a raid to execute it.
The raid did not occur until the morning of Aug. 8, 2022, when federal agents from the FBI arrived at Mar-a-Lago to execute the search warrant.
The document, obtained and reviewed by Breitbart News, shows that the DOJ and FBI waited several days after Reinhart approved the warrant to conduct the raid, something that severely undercuts the talking points issued by Attorney General Merrick Garland in a public statement on Thursday when he broke his silence to discuss the matter in televised remarks.
Why the authorities waited several days to execute service of the warrant if the matter rose to such a serious national security issue is unclear. If what federal agents intended to obtain from the raid was such a risk to national security, the fact they decided to linger and wait for several days before executing is likely to become a major point of contention as this debate plays out in front of the public.

Garland announced in his public remarks on Thursday that the Department of Justice had moved to unseal the warrant and inventory list of documents obtained from the raid. Trump indicated in public statements on Thursday evening that he would support such a move and wants the documents out in public. It is expected these documents, including the warrant that has been reviewed by Breitbart News, will be made public by the court soon, later on Friday or in the coming days.
The documents obtained by Breitbart News include the warrant, two accompanying attachments specifying terms for the warrant, and a property receipt outlining the inventory federal agents seized from Mar-a-Lago.

The inventory list of what was seized—or the receipt part of the document—is three pages long and constitutes two separate receipts, one that is two pages long and another that is one page long. Both receipts were signed by Trump’s attorney Christina Bobb and dated on Monday Aug. 8, 2022, at 6:19 p.m. The longer receipt was signed byFBI Special Agent Jeremy Linton and the shorter receipt was signed by the name: “L. Grady Gary” and includes the title SSA. It is unclear who that person is, and the handwriting is not the clearest.

It is no news that the FBI recently raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home under the guise of retrieving important documents taken away from the White House. This was also rudely done as several agents barged into his house and turned the whole place upside down, searching every corner of the building.
Agents broke into the safe, manhandled Melania Trump’s clothing, and absconded with boxes of supposed documents meant for preservation. After causing a scene here, they neither allowed Trump’s lawyers to monitor this search nor spoke to the media about what they intended or had found in this raid.

Disgraced Tavistock Trans Kids Clinic Faces Lawsuits From 1,000 Families
Over 1,000 families are expected to bring legal action against the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which operated the only gender clinic for children in England before being ordered to shut down over safety concerns.
The Tavistock Centre and its Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS), which has been accused of offering puberty blocking drugs to children after as little as just one consultation, is now facing legal action from families over allegedly misdiagnosing their children.
Since opening in 1989, the Tavistock Centre “treated” some 19,000 children for alleged gender dysphoria, a condition in which an individual feels a disconnect between their biological sex and their gender identity.
Speaking to The Times, Tom Goodhead of the Pogust Goodhead law firm said that he is expecting “at least 1,000” families to join in the legal action against the NHS trust.
“Children and young adolescents were rushed into treatment without the appropriate therapy and involvement of the right clinicians, meaning that they were misdiagnosed and started on a treatment pathway that was not right for them,” he said.
“These children have suffered life-changing and, in some cases, irreversible effects of the treatment they received.”
In 2021, Keira Bell sued the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, alleging that the Gender Identity Development Service (GIDS) had pressured her into medically transitioning her gender at the age of 16, something which she later grew to regret as an adult.
While the High Court had initially ruled in her favour, finding that it was wrong for the clinic to prescribe puberty blockers without the authorisation of a court, the decision was later overturned by the Court of Appeal.
In May, the Supreme Court ruled that she will not be able to challenge the decision, clearing the way for more children to be prescribed with life-altering drugs.
Bell says that as a result of her “treatment” she was left with “no breasts, a deep voice, body hair, a beard, affected sexual function and who knows what else.”

Former President Donald Trump is blasting the FBI raid of his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida, while pointing out former President Barack Obama never turned in his records and documents from his presidency.
In a Truth Social post on Thursday, Trump asked why Obama has not been forced to turn in the 30 million pages of records from his time in office. Additionally, reports say Obama’s lawyers repeatedly used the Presidential Records Act, which delayed the submission of records from the Clinton administration.
Trump added, the “fake news media” refuses to talk about the documents Obama didn’t return and asserted the media wants it “canceled.” He noted via his social media platform:
“What happened to the 30 million pages of documents taken from the White House to Chicago by Barack Hussein Obama? He refused to give them back! What is going on? This act was strongly at odds with NARA. Will they be breaking into Obama’s “mansion” in Martha’s Vineyard?”
The 45th President also responded to Attorney General Merrick Garland’s statements about the Mar-a-Lago raid. In a separate Truth Social post Thursday, Trump said he won’t oppose the unsealing of the FBI’s search warrant and demanded the documents be released immediately. The full post read:
“Not only will I not oppose the release of documents related to the unAmerican, unwarranted, and unnecessary raid and break-in of my home in Palm Beach, Florida, Mar-a-Lago, I am going a step further by ENCOURAGING the immediate release of those documents, even though they have been drawn up by radical left Democrats and possible future political opponents, who have a strong and powerful vested interest in attacking me, much as they have done for the last 6 years…”
His remarks came after Garland filed a motion to unseal the search warrant, saying he was only doing it after the raid was made public. Attorneys for Trump have until Friday afternoon to formally respond to the DOJ’s filing.
Meanwhile, Trump vigorously denied reports the FBI searched for top secret classified documents related to nuclear weapons during its recent. He, again, took to Truth Social Friday to say the nuclear weapons issue is a “hoax.” He added, it’s just like the two impeachments and former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s probe into Russia collusion claims. He noted:
“Nuclear weapons issue is a Hoax, just like Russia, Russia, Russia was a Hoax, two Impeachments were a Hoax, the Mueller investigation was a Hoax, and much more. Same sleazy people involved. Why wouldn’t the FBI allow the inspection of areas at Mar-a-Lago with our lawyer’s, or others, present. Made them wait outside in the heat, wouldn’t let them get even close – said “ABSOLUTELY NOT.” Planting information anyone? Reminds me of a Christofer Steele Dossier!”
The 45th president questioned why the FBI did not allow his attorneys to witness their inspection and wouldn’t even let them get close. This comes as reports did not provide details about the nuclear-related documents agents were looking for or say if any were retrieved.

Police have launched an investigation into a British PhD candidate who has published a “research” paper centring around him masturbating to child porn, Breitbart News can reveal.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has said that an investigation has been launched after University of Manchester student Karl Andersson published a PhD research paper on his personal experiences of masturbating to the “Shotacon” subgenre of Japanese manga comic books that focus on often highly sexualised portrayals of prepubescent or pubescent boys.
Anderson claimed that in order to “understand how [people] experience sexual pleasure when reading shota” he conducted a three-month “experiment” of masturbating to paedophilic comic books, taking notes during every “session”.
“I would not be allowed to have any other sexual relief during this ‘fieldwork’ in my own sexuality: no regular porn, no sex with another person, no fantasies or memories — it had to be shota every time.”
In his paper, published by the peer-reviewed academic journal Qualitative Research, Andersson admitted that “the age of the characters and the explicitness of the sex, as well as in the readers’ views on whether or how sexual desire for fictional boys is connected to sexual attraction to actual children.”
Yet despite acknowledging the illicit nature of the material, he said that he found interviewing others inadequate for his study, writing: “I realized that my body was equipped with a research tool of its own that could give me, quite literally, a first-hand understanding of shota.”
Describing one such masturbation “session”, Anderson wrote in his notebook in September of last year: “Started reading on the toilet: Boy who is staying with relatives happens to see his same-age friend masturbate… The boy who has admitted to everything has nothing to lose, so he throws himself over Tokio-kun and starts sniffing his cock and licking his smooth balls, and while waiting for the shot I came!”

Speaking to Breitbart London, a spokesman for the Greater Manchester Police revealed that the force has launched an investigation to determine if the “research” project had violated any laws.
“GMP received a report in relation to this matter in August 2022 and have since launched an investigation. We are working closely with the University of Manchester who are assisting us with our enquiries to establish what, if any offences have been committed.”…

President Donald Trump urged House Democrats to vote against the bill that would add 87,000 IRS agents and increase American taxes during a recession.
According to Fox News, the House of Representatives plans to vote on the “Inflation Reduction Act” on Friday.
In a Friday post on Truth Social, Trump wrote, “Strongly VOTE AGAINST THE BIGGEST GREEN NEW FAKE DEAL BILL IN HISTORY, which is about to be rammed down the throats of Americans.”
“Those Dems voting against this massive tax hike will be legends – actually be able to win again,” Trump added.
The Senate recently passed the bill with a tie-breaking vote by Kamala Harris, despite Republican lawmakers asserting that 87,000 new IRS agents present a danger to the American people. Additionally, the bill is expected to increase taxes on hardworking American families.
According to CBO Director Phillip Swagel, the financial implications of the Democrats’ bill will not be disclosed for weeks, Fox News reported. In a letter to Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., he wrote, “Given the scope of the amendments to title I, Committee on Finance, CBO expects that it will be a few weeks before we can fully analyze and estimate those budgetary effects, at which point we will provide a complete cost estimate for the legislation.”
Despite several issues with the legislation, Democrats plan on pushing through the “Inflation Reduction Act” before lawmakers can examine the bill’s full contents.
