Ladies and gentleman skinny and scout

I'll tell you a tale I know nothing about

The admission is free so pay at the door

Now pull out a chair and sit on the floor

On one bright day in the middle of the night

Two dead boys got up to fight

Back to back they faced each other

Drew their swords and shot each other

The blind man came to see fair play

The mute man came to shout hooray

The deaf policeman heard the noise

And came to stop those two dead boys

He lived on the corner in the middle of the block

In a two story house on a vacant lot

A man with no legs came walking by

And kicked the lawman in his thigh

He crashed through a wall without making a sound

Into a dry creek bed and suddenly drowned

A long black hearse came to cart him away

But he ran for his life and is still gone today

Two hundred and seventy-five sheriffs across the United States say President Joe Biden’s policies are “encouraging and sanctioning lawlessness … in the name of mass illegal immigration,” in a letter to the White House.

The sheriffs, who span across 39 states, urge Biden in the letter to work with the law enforcement community in reimposing controls at the U.S.-Mexico border and ending the administration’s “sanctuary country” orders that have gutted interior immigration enforcement.

“In the interests of ending the undermining of our laws and the increased risks to the safety and security of the people of the United States of America, we respectfully request that you immediately reverse course on your pro-illegal immigration policies, resume the border wall construction, and embrace the common-sense, public-safety-supporting border policies of the previous administration,” the sheriffs write:

In a myriad of ways, you and your administration are encouraging and sanctioning lawlessness and the victimization of the people of the United States of America, all in the name of mass illegal immigration. [Emphasis added]

What is most troubling to America’s Sheriffs is that you and your administration were well aware that this crisis would happen when you ceased construction of the border wall and changed border security policies. The general counsel for the Florida elections commission was arrested for possession of child porn Wednesday, according to The Tallahassee Democrat.

Courts records indicate that Eric M. Lipman was charged with 11 counts of possession of child pornography and was taken into custody at the Leon County Detention Facility, the Democrat reported.

The Leon County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest on Wednesday, but did not mention Lipman was general counsel at the state elections commission.

Lipman's arrest and charges came after the Sheriff's Office of Internet Crimes Against Children got a tip in February from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children about possible child porn downloaded by a local individual.

Detectives identified Lipman as the primary suspect after a six-week investigation.

The Sheriff's office along with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations then executed a search warrant at his home.

According to the Statesman, the unnamed girl told police she called the younger Armstrong after becoming intoxicated at a party and asked for a ride home; she then fell asleep, and woke up at a home owned by Lance Armstrong where she says his son sexually assaulted her before driving her home without a word.

In a statement to the newspaper, an attorney for Armstrong characterized the encounter as a consensual sexual act between two high school students in a relationship.

"A complete review of the facts will confirm what has been alleged absolutely did not occur and a proper and thorough legal process will exonerate Luke," Randy Leavitt told the Statesman.

"What occurred three years ago in high school was not a crime and not a sexual assault. What it was was a consensual relationship then and it continued to be consensual between the two young people with both ultimately going their separate ways. These charges should never have been filed and certainly not three years later," he continued.

In affidavits obtained by the Statesman, police say that the unnamed girl provided police with a recorded call from December in which Armstrong admits to having sex with the girl but claims that he remembered the encounter as consensual. The girl also said she told six people about the assault after it occurred, four of whom police said described the girl's account as describing a sexual assault, according to the affidavits.

If convicted of the second-degree felony of sexual assault of a child, Armstrong could face up to 20 years in prison.
