I dunno, mang.

Watching the Durham thing. Just skipped shitts whole spiel but it got me thinkin. I did notice in there that Schiff asked a Q and Durham responded in such a way it made Schiff scoff. The answer Durham gave was even out of character. Essentially Schiff asked Durham if he respects Muller and Durham answers that he does hold Muller in high regards, but, then he threw something out of character in there. He also added a quick bit about how Muller is a true patriot but did so slightly after Schiff accepted the answer. It seemed that Muller threw that in there intentionally, to see Schiff's reaction. Schiff, after processing the last thing Durham said, which was about Muller being a patriot, scoffs at the thought. It seems Durham was there to do more than just be heard. I think he was there to get certain answers or reactions out of certain DS politicians. Certain reactions that are now forever stored on the interenet for everyone to see. Could it be used as evidence? It's deffinitely recorded as an "official statement" under oath, right? Doesn't that hold true for the politicians that asked questions? Aren't their statements being recorded as "True", too?

Congressman Adam Schiff was the ranking member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence from 2015 through 2019, then Chairman of that same committee from 2019 through 2023. In his leadership position on the HPSCI, Schiff was also a member of the congressional Gang of Eight and received classified intelligence briefings on all U.S. intel matters.

Adam Schiff used his position on the HPSCI to fabricate information from the HPSCI, leak information to the media, and falsify statements during public appearances. Following the 2020 midterm election result, Schiff was forcibly removed from the committee by Speaker Kevin McCarthy. Today the House of Representatives censured Schiff for his lies and manipulative conduct and submitted him to an ethics investigation by the House.

(Via Politico) – The House GOP voted Wednesday to publicly reprimand Rep. Adam Schiff for his leading role in Democratic investigations of former President Donald Trump.

The measure, which passed 213-209, formally censures Schiff and directs the House Ethics Committee to investigate his actions. All five Republican members of the House ethics panel and Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) voted “present” on Wednesday’s measure.

Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.), the sponsor of the resolution, and other conservatives tried to advance a similar censure measure last week, but 20 Republicans

— objecting to language that could have resulted in a $16 million fine for Schiff, unless he resigned from Congress

— joined most Democrats to sink it before it came up for a full House vote. Luna removed that provision to allay their concerns. (read more)

The Obama family has been spotted visiting the Acropolis in Athens - with the former president cozying up to his wife.

Barack Obama, 61, was pictured caressing his wife's buttocks during the visit to the ancient site on Wednesday.

The former first lady wore a flattering khaki jumpsuit and white cardigan, with her husband looking relaxed in white chinos, trainers and a casual blue shirt.

The loved-up couple were joined by their two daughters Malia, 24, and Sasha, 22.

Malia was sporting a long brown dress and black ankle boots, and Sasha trainers, jeans and a purple top paired with hoop earrings.

The Obama family is in Greece for an Obama Foundation event and appears to have taken some downtime to see the popular attraction.

The Foundation is hosting 100 changemakers from across Africa, Asia-Pacific and Europe for a week-long leadership and cultural experience in Athens.

The most underreported story in Boston right now is the fact that over the weekend first responders were called to a public housing complex in South Boston for a man in cardiac arrest and found a horrifying scene filled with men in drag and at least 5 children between the ages of 5-10.

Four children living in squalid conditions while being hidden from first responders were found in an apartment filled with “alcohol, drugs, sex toys” and a dead man, according to an incident report and outraged officials.

“This is sickening,” said At-Large City Councilor Michael Flaherty. “I was informed by people at the scene that there were drugs, alcohol, sex toys all around the apartment as well as a dead body on the floor.”

That fire department report, obtained by the Herald and confirmed by police response, states that a BFD crew was sent to Old Colony Avenue Saturday morning for a call that a man had gone into cardiac arrest and required medical attention. That address is the Mary Ellen McCormack Housing complex run by the city. However, according to the incident report, firefighters found more than just a routine medical emergency.

“The apartment was in extremely unsanitary conditions. Approximately 6 adults, who appeared to be males, were seen in the apartment,” they wrote, saying they subsequently found “four children in the back bedroom being hidden by an adult male from first responders.”

According to the incident report the children ranged from ages 5 to 10.

“All of the adult parties were being uncooperative and did not provide helpful information. All adults present denied having children inside the apartment,” they wrote.

DeSantis has just made an admission of his alignment with that corporate “globalist” outlook to aprivate confab of donors in California.

Ron DeSantis aligning against the core values of America First economics is a HUGE warning flare. We have discussed this issue on these pages and in every platform we can reach for a long time. The DeSantis team is trying desperately to recover from sunlight upon their donor influence, but they cannot refute the words of their candidate in support of those donor priorities.

Keep in mind also that Donald Trump recently announced the sweeping “Economic Agenda 47“, which includes baseline tariffs against all imported goods.

Wanted Illinois man seen terrorizing town arrested after being ran over by golf cart

MOLINE, Ill. (WTVO) — A wanted 31-year-old man seen going on a vandalism rampage through a Moline neighborhood was arrested last Friday after he was ran over by a golf cart and pinned until police arrival.

According to Iowa radio station 97x, Oliver Vanderlinden began his spree at an electrician union building; where he damaged a motorcycle, threw rocks at multiple vehicles and attempted to rip a door off a car, causing an estimated $4,500 in damages.

Vanderlinden then moved to a nearby neighborhood, where a video taken by a witness captures him destroying windows and doors across multiple homes.

Another witness shared a photo of his badly damaged car, which Vanderlinden allegedly threw a rock at.

The man’s march through the neighborhood was abruptly ended after the owner of a home vandalized by Vanderlinden ran him over with a golf cart, pinning him to the ground.

In the video, Vanderlinden can be heard underneath the cart saying “I’m sorry, bro. I’m sorry.”

He was booked into the Scott County, Iowa Jail on an outstanding warrant and held on $5,000 bond.

Disney’s Chief Diversity Officer Latondra Newton Exits

Disney’s chief diversity officer and senior vice president Latondra Newton is exiting her role after more than six years, according to an internal memo obtained by Variety.

An individual with knowledge of the situation says that Newton will be joining the corporate board of another company soon, and plans to devote more time to her self-owned creative company.

In her role as head of DEI operations at Disney, Newton was charged with overseeing the company’s “commitment to produce entertainment that reflects a global audience and sustains a welcoming and inclusive workplace for everyone.”

Upon her departure, Newton’s direct reports will report to Julie Merges on an interim basis until a new chief diversity officer is named. Shelby Curry and the DEI internal communications team will continue to report to internal communications and engagement exec Carrie Brown.

Previously, Newton served as group vice president of social innovation and chief diversity officer at Toyota Motor North America, Inc. and chief program officer for Toyota Mobility Foundation, Toyota Motor Corporation. She began her career at Toyota in 1991.

Newton’s exit from Disney comes less than a week after CEO Bob Iger announced CFO Christine McCarthy’s decision to step down from her role.

The FBI deceived the House, Senate and the Justice Department about the substance and strength of evidence undergirding its counterintelligence investigation of President Trump, according to a recently declassified document and other material.

A seven-page internal FBI memo dated March 8, 2017, shows that "talking points" prepared for then-FBI Director James Comey for his meeting the next day with the congressional leadership were riddled with half-truths, outright falsehoods, and critical omissions. Both the Senate and the House opened investigations and held hearings based in part on the misrepresentations made in those FBI briefings, one of which was held in the Senate that morning and the other in the House later that afternoon. RealClearInvestigations reached out to every member of the leadership, sometimes known as the "Gang of Eight." Some declined to comment, while others did not respond to queries.

The talking points were prepared by Lisa Page, a senior FBI lawyer who later resigned from the bureau amid accusations of anti-Trump bias, and were used by Comey in his meeting with Hill leaders. They described reports the FBI received in 2016 from "a former FBI CHS," or confidential human source, about former Trump campaign officials Paul Manafort and Carter Page (no relation to Lisa Page) allegedly conspiring with the Kremlin to hack the election.

Quoting from the reports, Comey told congressional leaders that the unidentified informant told the FBI that Manafort "initially 'managed' the relationship between Russian government officials and the Trump campaign, using Carter Page as an intermediary." He also told them that "Page was reported to have had 'secret meetings' in early July 2016 with a named individual in Russia's presidential administration during which they discussed Russia's release of damaging information on Hillary Clinton in exchange for alterations to the GOP platform regarding U.S. policy towards Ukraine."

But previous FBI interviews with Carter Page and other key sources indicated that none of that was true – and the FBI knew it at the time of the congressional briefings.

The Lisa Page memo anticipated concerns about the quality of information Comey was relaying to Congress and suggested he preempt any concerns with another untruth. The memo advised Comey to tell lawmakers that "some" of the reporting "has been corroborated," and to point out that the informant's "reporting in this matter is derived primarily from a Russian-based source," which made it sound more credible.

By this point, however, the FBI knew that the main source feeding unsubstantiated rumors to the informant, Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence agent paid by Hillary Clinton's campaign to dig up dirt on Trump, was American-based.

The FBI first interviewed that source – a Russian national named Igor Danchenko who was living in the U.S. and had worked at the Brookings Institution – in January 2017. Danchenko had told them that the anti-Trump dirt he funneled to Steele was dubious hearsay passed along over drinks with his high school buddies and an old girlfriend named Olga Galkina, who had made up the accusations about Carter Page and Manafort that the FBI relayed to Congress.

Danchenko is now under criminal indictment in Special Counsel John Durham's ongoing investigation for lying about the sourcing for his information. The source to whom he attributed spurious charges against Trump – including his being compromised by a sex tape held by the Kremlin – was a fabrication, according to the indictment. He never spoke with the person as he claimed. Another source turned out to be a longtime Hillary Clinton campaign adviser.

The FBI did not tell the Gang of Eight that Danchenko was working for Steele and did not really have any sources inside the Kremlin, according to the script prepared for Comey, which was recently declassified as part of pre-trial discovery in Special Counsel John Durham's probe. The FBI also concealed Steele's identity and the fact he was working for the Clinton campaign.

'Crowning' Deception

Adding to the deception, Comey referred to the unnamed informant by the codename "CROWN," making it appear as if Steele's dossier was a product of British intelligence, although Steele had not worked for the British government for several years and was reporting entirely in a private capacity. According to the talking-points memo, Comey also withheld from Congress the fact that Steele had been fired by the FBI for leaking information to the media. Instead of sharing that critical information about his reliability and credibility – to say nothing of his political and financial motivations – Comey hid the truth about his star informant from the nation's top lawmakers.

"If asked about CROWN/Steele" during the briefing, the memo anticipated, Comey was to tell lawmakers only that "CROWN, a former FBI CHS, is a former friendly foreign intelligence service employee who reported for about three years, and some of whose reporting has been corroborated."

Meanwhile, FBI headquarters officials were duping the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) court in similar fashion in order to continue to obtain warrants to spy on Carter Page. They led judges on the secret surveillance court to believe Danchenko was "Russian-based" – and therefore presumably more credible.

The official in charge of vetting the Steele dossier at the time – and interviewing him and his primary source Danchenko to corroborate their allegations – was FBI Supervisory Intelligence Analyst Brian Auten. By March 2017, Auten knew the "Russian-based" claim was untrue, and yet he let case agents slip it into two FISA renewal requests targeting Page.

Auten seemed to become concerned about the falsehood only when the Senate Judiciary Committee asked to see the Page spy warrants. He then reviewed the FISA applications in advance of Comey briefing the panel on March 15 and raised concerns with then-FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith, who was assisting with redactions to the documents before sharing them with Congress. Auten wondered in text messages whether a correction should be reported to the court. But no amendment was ever made.

Years later, in a closed-door 2020 hearing, Senate Judiciary Committee investigators finally caught up with Auten and asked him about it.

"The FISA applications all say that he's Russian-based," then-chief Senate Judiciary Committee investigative counsel Zach Somers pressed Auten. "Do you think that should have been corrected with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court?"

Auten said he raised the issue with Clinesmith, who was convicted last year by Durham on charges related to falsifying evidence in the FISA application process. "And what response did you get back?" Somers asked. "I did not get a response back," Auten replied.

Fraud and More Fraud

And so the "Russian-based" fraud lived on through the FISA renewals, which also swore to the court that Danchenko was "truthful and cooperative." (Attempts to reach Auten for comment were unsuccessful. The FBI declined comment.)

The five-year statute of limitations for criminal liability related to the invalid FISA applications expires at the end of this month. It has already expired regarding false statement offenses that may have been committed during the March 2017 Gang of Eight briefings.

However, legal experts say Durham could bypass the statute by filing conspiracy charges. Some former FBI attorneys and prosecutors believe the special counsel is building a "conspiracy to defraud the government" case against former FBI officials and others.

Around the same time, the FBI similarly misled high-ranking officials at the Justice Department.

In a March 6, 2017 briefing on the Russiagate probe to acting Attorney General Dana Boente, Comey's deputy Andrew McCabe and counterintelligence official Peter Strzok suggested that Steele's material came from the British government rather than the Clinton campaign by referring to it as "CROWN source reporting," according to handwritten notes taken during the meeting.

Strzok falsely suggested to Boente that the probable cause for his opening the Russiagate investigation, codenamed Crossfire Hurricane, included Trump asking Russia during a July 2016 public campaign appearance to find Clinton's 30,000 missing State Department emails she had deleted from a private server. The electronic communication Strzok personally wrote to officially open the investigation made no mention of this incident. What's more, Trump made the sarcastic remark after the date when Strzok stated the FBI determined probable cause.

Strzok, who did not respond to requests for comment, spread the same false claim in his book. He recently admitted in a Georgetown University forum he got that detail wrong, while blaming a faulty memory. Strzok was fired by Special Counsel Robert Mueller after the Justice inspector general alerted Mueller to virulently anti-Trump texts he had exchanged with Lisa Page, with whom he was having an illicit affair.

During the high-level briefing, Strzok and McCabe shaded other facts to make it seem as if the case against Trump and his advisers were stronger than it was in order to convince the attorney general they had justifiable cause to continue their "sensitive" political investigations. For instance, they told Boente that the secret FISA monitoring of Page's phone and emails was "fruitful," when in fact collections failed to corroborate the dossier allegations against Page.

The next month, Boente approved and signed the third application to surveil the Trump adviser. Carter Page was never charged with a crime. But the year-long surveillance, which didn't end until Sept. 22, 2017, allowed FBI headquarters to potentially monitor the Trump presidency through what is known as "incidental collections" of emails, texts and phone and Skype conversations.

On March 20, 2017, Comey went to Capitol Hill and publicly announced for the first time the existence of the FBI's Crossfire Hurricane investigation into Trump and his campaign.

"The FBI, as part of our counter-intelligence mission, is investigating the Russian government's efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, and that includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government, and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia's efforts," Comey testified.

The unusual public disclosure of an active investigation opened the floodgates to media hysteria about possible Trump "collusion" with Russia and triggered years of congressional hearings and investigations that dragged Trump figures into countless hours of depositions under subpoena.

Two months later, Mueller took over where fired Comey left off and breathed new life into the counterintelligence and criminal investigations. In the end, Mueller found no evidence Trump or any Trump official or associate conspired with any Russians to interfere in the election or conduct other espionage. The case, like the Clinton campaign-funded dossier that inspired it, was a bust.

Tellingly, Lisa Page also personally briefed Mueller about the FBI's investigation when the special counsel took over the case in May 2017. She boasted that Mueller was so impressed with her "overview" that he hired her on the spot. "I want her on my team," she said Mueller told her immediate boss McCabe.

Page did not return requests for comment through her Washington attorney.

The attack did not result in any injuries, the peninsula’s governor has said

Ukraine has launched a missile strikeon bridges linking the northern part of Russia’s Crimea Peninsula and Kherson Region, the local authorities have said. They claim that the attack did not result in any casualties, but caused minor damage to infrastructure, adding that preliminary data indicates that the strike used UK-supplied long-range missiles.

In a statement on Telegram on Thursday morning, Vladimir Saldo, the acting governor of Kherson Region, said: “The criminalKievregime has conducted abarbaric strike on civilian facilities,” namely, several bridges in the area of the Chongar Peninsula, which serves as one of the few land connections between the peninsula and the mainland.

The governor said that preliminary data indicates that the Ukrainianstrike involved UK-supplied Storm Shadow missileswith a range of more than 250km, which has already been used by Kiev to attack civilian facilities in the Russian city of Lugansk.

“The road surface on the bridges has been damaged. There areno human casualties,” he wrote. Saldo noted that the bridge would be open for vehicles shortly, adding that traffic between the peninsula and Kherson Region is not disrupted as it has been temporarily diverted to another route.

Crimea’s governor, Sergey Aksyonov, confirmed the strike on the Chongar bridge, adding that it did not cause any injuries. He noted that bomb experts are trying to identify the type of the weapon used in the strike, while the emergency services are looking into the damage to the infrastructure.

The incident follows a statement by Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, whowarned the day beforethat Ukraine wants to use HIMARS and Storm Shadow missiles to attack Russian territories, including Crimea. He noted that these actionswould “result in immediate strikes against the decision-making centers in the territory of Ukraine.” (The Defense Minister warned them, Kiev didn’t listen, bombing incoming in next couple of days. Russians fulfill their promises!)

Last autumn, the Crimean Bridge linking the eastern part of the peninsula with mainland Russia came under a deadly attack, which Moscow said was orchestrated by Kiev’s special services. Russia responded by intensifying its long-range strikes on Ukrainian military and energy infrastructure.

Brussels is preparing a legal basis for transferring the seized funds to Ukraine, the European Commission president has said

The European Commission intends to submit a legal proposal on the transfer of frozen Russian assets to Ukraine before it goes on summer break on July 25, its president, Ursula von der Leyen, told reporters on Wednesday.

According to the official, despite earlier reports to the contrary and the legal challenges the measure faces,the commission is intenton finding ways to use the money in question for the restoration of Ukraine.

“It is not legally a simple thing, it is very complex. Our experts are working hard on it. But I am deeply convinced, from a political point of view, that it is not possible that whoever committed this devastation and destruction in Ukraine does not contribute to the repair and to the reconstruction. For this reason we are preparing a legal proposal before the summer break,” she told representatives of several European news outlets on the sidelines of the conference on the reconstruction of Ukraine, underway in London.

She also mentioned the commission's proposal toEU member-statesto allocate €50 billion($55 billion) in grants and loansas aid to Ukraine in 2024-2027.

Brussels froze Russia’s EU-held assets soon after the start of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine late last February. Last month, the European Commission calculated that a total ofover €200 billionworth of assets belonging to theRussian central bankwere frozen across the bloc, along with some €24.1 billion of assets belonging to sanctioned Russian businessmen and companies.

Lawmakers from across the block have been debating the legality of seizing Russian holdings and channeling them to Ukraine for months now, with many pointing out that the EU legal system only allows freezing these assets, not expropriating them.

Bloomberg reported earlier this week that members of theEU working groupon Russian assets saw “no credible legal avenue” for their confiscation “on the sole basis of these assets being under EU restrictive measures.”

Instead, the lawmakers said theycould opt to use the profits generated from these assetsin EU securities depositories. According to a recent report by Financial Times, one of these depositories, Belgium-based Euroclear, alone generated €734 million in interest on cash balances from Russia-sanctioned assets in the first quarter of 2023.

Moscow has repeatedly condemned the EU’s seizure of its assets as theft. While addressing the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) last week, Russian President Vladimir Putin described the measure as “medieval.”

(Does the EU realize that Russia will not only do the same, but probably worse if they go forward with legalizing international theft? This precedent opens up every EU country being penalized for theft and who’s to stop Poland from continuously trying to collect reparations from other EU countries. I suspect they release this news once a week to trigger Russia, but they literally could be as stupid as Bidan.)

Cosmic dust clouds cross a rich field of stars in this telescopic vista near the northern boundary of Corona Australis, the Southern Crown. Part of a sprawling molecular cloud complex this star forming region is a mere 500 light-years away. That's about one third the distance of the more famous stellar nursery known as the Orion Nebula. The 2 degree wide frame would span 15 light-years at the clouds' estimated distance. Mixed with bright nebulosities the dust clouds effectively block light from more distant background stars in the Milky Way and obscure from view embedded stars still in the process of formation. Large dark nebula Bernes 157 is on the left. To its right are a group of pretty reflection nebulae cataloged as NGC 6726, 6727, 6729, and IC 4812. Their characteristic blue color is produced as light from hot stars is reflected by the cosmic dust. The more compact NGC 6729 surrounds young variable star R Coronae Australis. Just below it, filamentary arcs and loops are identified as Herbig Haro objects associated with energetic newborn stars. In fact, at the heart of this area lies the Coronet Cluster, one of the nearest and most active star forming regions.

NASA Administrator Bill Nelson led a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday to showcase a new Earth Information Center at NASA Headquarters in Washington. The center is part physical space and part virtual experience, which shows how NASA data can improve lives in the face of disasters, environmental challenges, and our changing world.

The agency also launched its corresponding Earth Information Center website as part of the event. The ribbon cutting ceremony comes ahead of a public opening of the center Monday, June 26.

Climate change is a key priority of the Biden-Harris Administration, and NASA plays a critical role in providing data to researchers and others through its extensive Earth-monitoring constellation of satellites. For six decades, NASA satellites, sensors, and scientists have collected observations about our home planet – and at the Earth Information Center, the public can glimpse what this data has taught us about sea level rise, air quality, wildfires, greenhouse gases, energy, and agriculture.

“For more than 60 years, NASA has used our vantage point of space to observe Earth with satellites and instruments aboard the International Space Station to collect vital, life-saving data,” said NASA Administrator Bill Nelson. “To meet the Biden-Harris Administration’s goal of making this data more understandable, accessible, and usable for everyone, NASA is opening the Earth Information Center. From firefighters that rely on NASA data for wildfire management to farmers who need to know when and where to plant crops, the Earth Information Center will help more people make informed decisions every day.”

Whether they live in cities, suburban areas, or on farms, people around the nation can access information to understand our dynamic planet and prepare for impacts of climate change. NASA collects and shares data that can help everyone from coastal including home buyers assessing flood risk; businesses on the Gulf of Mexico and the Great Lakes looking for information on harmful algal blooms; farmers requiring drought and storm information; and county land-use planners assessing wildfire management.

A former employee of OceanGate alleged in a 2018 counterclaim lawsuit that he was fired for raising concerns about quality control and testing of potential flaws in the same experimental submersible that went missing this week with its crew and passengers on an underwater tourist venture to see the wreck of the Titanic.

David Lochridge, an engineer and submarine pilot, claimed in his counterclaim against OceanGate that he was hired in 2015 by the Everett, Washington, company to ensure the safety of all crew and clients during the submersible and surface operations of the vessel called Titan. But when he expressed concerns about the design and testing of the minisub's hull, he said he was terminated by the company.

Lochridge alleged that he requested paperwork from the company's engineering director "regarding the viewport test result of the viewport for the Titan," according to the lawsuit.

"Lochridge was met with hostility and denied access to the necessary documentation that should have been freely available as a part of his inspection process," the lawsuit said.

Because his "verbal communications were ignored," Lochridge claims he wrote a report, saying, "Now is the time to properly address items that pose a safety risk to personnel."

"In the Inspection Report, Lochridge identified numerous issues that posed serious safety concerns, and offered corrective action and recommendations for each," the lawsuit stated. "Lochridge primarily expressed concern regarding the lack of non-destructive testing performed on the hull of the Titan."

According to the suit, on Jan. 19, 2018, a day after he filed his report, Lochridge was called to the meeting with company executives.

"At the meeting, Lochridge discovered why he had been denied access to the viewport information from the Engineering department – the viewport at the forward of the submersible was only built to a certified pressure of 1,300 meters, although OceanGate intended to take passengers down to depths of 4,000 meters," the lawsuit said. "The paying passengers would not be aware, and would not be informed, of this experimental design, the lack of non-destructive testing of the hull, or that hazardous flammable materials were being used within the submersible."

White House hawks to stage ‘diplomatic offensive’ against Russia – FT

Jake Sullivan and Victoria Nuland are to meet officials from BRICS and Türkiye to advocate on Kiev’s behalf, according to the newspaper

US national security adviser Jake Sullivan will lead a delegation for an informal meeting withofficials from several nationsthat haverefused to toe Washington’s line on Ukraineand have maintained friendly relations with Russia, the Financial Times reported on Thursday.

The talks are to take place this weekend inCopenhagen, Denmark, sources told the newspaper. Victoria Nuland, the third most senior official in the State Department and another Russia hawk in the administration of President Joe Biden, will accompany Sullivan, according to the report. A senior EU official will also attend.

Coming to hear them out are representatives of =India, Brazil, and South Africa. Officials from Türkiye== may join in, while China could send an observer, sources indicated.

All of the nations except Türkiye belong to BRICS, an economic bloc that counts Russia as its fifth member. All have been skeptical of Washington’s narrative about the Ukraine crisis, which claims that the Russian military operation was an unprovoked act of aggression that needs to be severely punished. China has identified NATO’s expansion in Europe as the root cause of the conflict, while Brazil has stated that both Russia and Ukraine can be blamed.

Türkiye is a NATO member but has taken a neutral position on the conflict in Ukraine and has served as a mediator between Moscow and Kiev on many occasions.

The FT described Washington’s effort in Copenhagen as a “diplomatic offensive” at Kiev’s request, which comes amid Ukraine’s failure to make significant battlefield advances against Russia. The meeting is not expected to produce a particular result but is rather intended to promote the American point of view, sources said. (Blackmail and harass is more like it.)

“Only little do we realize how much the rest of the world is not convinced,” a European official told the newspaper. “They are not convinced. It’s a terrible thing to acknowledge.”

The BRICS members along with Türkiye havedefiedWashington’s calls toimpose economic sanctions on Russia. China and India have particularly benefited from a surge in energy purchases from Russia, even as Western nations sought to undercut Moscow’s oil exports globally with a price cap.

Russia claims taking out 13 Western tanks provided to Kiev

The armor was among hundreds of military vehicles lost by Ukraine during its counteroffensive, senior officials have claimed

Russian forces have destroyed or disabled hundreds of Ukrainianheavy weapon systems, including 13 Western-made main battle tanks, in the 16 days since the startof Kiev’s much-touted counteroffensive, according to a breakdown provided by senior Russian officials.

The interim statistics were reported by Nikolay Patrushev, the secretary of the Russian security council, and confirmed by Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu during the body’s meeting on Thursday. The event was chaired by President Vladimir Putin, who asked follow-up questions about the share of Western hardware in the claimed losses.

Kiev lost 246 tanks between June 4 and June 21, the officials said. Of the 81 Western tanks that it had, 13 have been knocked out. Russian troops also destroyed 152 infantry fighting vehicles, including 59 Western-made, and 279 field artillery pieces and mortars, including 48 Western-made. Other Ukrainian losses included 443 armored vehicles, 424 regular vehicles, 42 multiple rocket launchers, ten fighter jets, four helicopters and 264 drones, Putin was told.

TheUkrainian forceshave been weakened in the fighting and have nowtaken a pause to regroup and replenish their ranks,Shoigu reported. Referencing intercepted Ukrainian communications, he estimated that Kiev has lost over 13,000 troops during the active phase of the counteroffensive.

Putin noted that Ukraine’s ability to mobilize new troops was a limiting factor, even as Western nations pledged to provide more weapons to fight against Russia. TheUS and its allies “are indeed prepared to wage the war to the last Ukrainian,” he remarked, summing up Moscow’s assessment of the Western attitude towards the conflict.

Western main battle tanks were touted by many commentators as a gamechanger for Ukraine. Kiev started to receive the advanced armor as it was gearing up for its promised counteroffensive this year.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky acknowledged on Wednesday that the operation was not going as well as many supporters of his government had hoped. Ukraine’s army “will advance on the battlefield the way we deem best,” he told the BBC.

Warren Buffett has donated another $4.64 billion of Berkshire Hathaway (BRKa.N) stock to five charities, boosting his total giving since 2006 to more than $51 billion.

The annual donation made on Wednesday is the 92-year-old Buffett's largest, and consisted of about 13.7 million of Berkshire's Class B shares.

Buffett is donating 10.45 million shares to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which has received more than $39 billion of Berkshire stock overall.He is also donating 1.05 million shares to the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation, named for his late first wife, and 2.2 million shares split evenly among charities led by his children Howard, Susan and Peter: the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Sherwood Foundation and the NoVo Foundation.

Buffett is gradually giving away nearly all of the fortune he built at Omaha, Nebraska-based Berkshire, which he has run since 1965.

He and Bill Gates also pioneered the Giving Pledge, in which more than 240 people like Michael Bloomberg, Larry Ellison, Carl Icahn, Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg committed at least half of their wealth to philanthropy.

Buffett has already donated more than half of his Berkshire stock. He still owned more than $112.5 billion, or about 15%, of Berkshire shares following Wednesday's donations.

"Nothing extraordinary has occurred at Berkshire: a very long runway, simple and generally sound decisions, the American tailwind and compounding effects produced my current wealth," Buffett said in a statement. "American tailwind" was coined by Buffett in 2019 to describe the United States' ability to build wealth over the long term, even through times of war and financial crisis.

Buffett built Berkshire into an approximately $740 billion company through businesses such as the BNSF railroad and Geico car insurance, and stocks such as Apple Inc (AAPL.O).

No it was not the military, the brothers Raland and Loy submitted almost identical cases. Raland’s got denied for a rehearing on Feb. 21, 2023,but Loy Brunson’s case was submitted on April 19, 2023 and docketed April 24, 2023 and it was approved for conference on June 6, 2023. Conference occurring today 6/22/23 now waiting to see if Justices to decide whether to hear the case in court.

I haven’t read the new pleading yet but I’ve heard there’s some changes. See attached.

SEC fines JPMorgan subsidiary for deleting 47 million emails, some related to subpoenas

The Securities and Exchange Commission fined the broker-dealer subsidiary of JPMoran Chase $4 million for accidentally deleting about 47 million emails from early 2018. Some of those emails were sought by subpoenas in at least a dozen regulatory investigations, the SEC order against J.P. Moran Securities LLC noted. The firm in late 2021 agreed to pay $125 million in penalties for failing to preserve text messages and other electronic communications sent between January 2018 and November 2020. The emails, which were accidentally deleted in 2019, were from and to about 8,700 email boxes, which included those of up to 7,500 employees who had regular contact with Chase customers.

Many of the emails were “business records required to be retained pursuant” to federal securities law, the order said. J.P. Morgan Securities consented to the SEC sanction, which also censured the firm. The firm had submitted a settlement offer in anticipation of administrative proceedings related to the deletions, and the SEC accepted that offer. The SEC also ordered the firm to “cease and desist from committing any future violations” of the securities law requiring broker-dealers to retain for at least three years the originals of all communications. This is the third time the investment adviser has agreed to punishment for failing to preserve electronic records. The firm in late 2021 agreed to pay $125 million in penalties for failing to preserve text messages and other electronic communications sent between January 2018 and November 2020. In 2005, the firm paid $700,000 in penalties for not preserving electronic records from mid-1999 to mid-2002.

JPMorgan spokeswoman Patricia Wexler declined to comment on the latest sanction. In its order Thursday, the SEC noted JPMorgan in 2016 began a project “to delete from its system older communications and documents no longer required to be retained.”

Those messages included old emails, instant messages and communications sent over the Bloomberg terminal service. But there were “glitches” in the project, “with the identified documents not, in fact, being expunged,” the order said. While troubleshooting that issue in June 2019, employees of the firm “executed deletion tasks on electronic communications from the first quarter of 2018,” the order said. Those employees “erroneously” believed — based on claims by the firm’s archiving vendor — that all of those documents were coded in a way to prevent the permanent deletion of those records that were required by law to be kept for three years, the order said. “In fact, however, the vendor did not apply the default retention settings in a particular email domain,” the order said. “And those communications, including many required to be maintained pursuant to the broker-dealer recordkeeping rules, were permanently deleted.” Those deletions were discovered in October 2019, when a JPMorgan team responsible for producing records to related legal cases detected that emails were missing from early 2018, the order said.

JPMorgan reported the deletions to the SEC in January 2020.

The High court have now accepted and sealed the claim.

Today the 21st of June 2023 we have sent a full copy of the claim (913 pages) directly to The Metropolitan Police’s solicitors.

They must acknowledge receipt and then we in turn will notify the High Court as and when they do acknowledge receipt of said claim.
