Not a 'series' so much as a shared alternate-universe; I've even written something in it, though that's an AU to the AU, with an evil Celestia, and full multiverse with an argument planned to happen between show-accurate Celly and Evil-Tia about the dangers of accidental alicorns.
I've not seen a lot of fan art for the world, though to be honest, most of the art would be around the transformations, since it was intended as body horror, or just book covers. I'm not averse to a little body horror art but the majority of the crowd that liked Conversion Bureau hated ebil humies so as a result the art was more angry than skilled - but this piece was clever, at least.
I'm on vacation, but can post a fan-video from Injustrial, et. al. this evening.
