The Man Who Says He Invented Q Is My Friend
I am not proud of this story. I am telling it anyway.
I will call him Quinn. That is not his name. He lives in another city. We met years ago on a political message board, the kind of place most of us now know too well. It started on 4chan, moved to 8chan, then landed on 8kun. The section was called Pol.
I watched the board get louder. An anonymous poster called Q was drawing crowds. His riddles disturbed me. I wrote to him. Someone wrote back.
I cannot prove who that someone was. I cannot prove what Quinn has told me since. Everything below is his account, not established fact.
Quinn says he is a puzzle man. He says he solved Cicada 3301, the internet riddle that pulled codebreakers from around the world, and that he was the only person to finish it. I cannot confirm that.
From there, he says, came a darker idea. Plant stories. Aim them at global elites and at figures in the Democratic Party. Hide the biggest one in the middle of the Q drops. Pizzagate.
Pizzagate was false. No evidence ever supported it. A gunman still walked into a Washington pizzeria over it. That is what a lie like this does to real people.
Quinn's plan, as he tells it, was a trap. Tell millions of angry people that a secret ring of child abusers runs the elite. Let them demand the files. Let a politician who loves attention promise to release them. Then watch him choke on the promise.
Here is what the record shows. Donald Trump backed release of the Epstein files on the campaign trail. His Justice Department said in July that no more disclosure was needed. He called the matter a hoax. Then Congress forced his hand, and he signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act on November 19.
The deadline came and went with partial releases and heavy redactions. On January 30, the department posted more than three million pages, 2,000 videos and about 180,000 images. A senior official said it would be the last major release. Reporters found at least 3,200 documents that mention Trump, who denies any wrongdoing. Being named in a file is not a crime. The public still has no full explanation of what was blacked out.
Quinn's cabal story was invented. Jeffrey Epstein was not. He was a convicted sex offender who moved among powerful men of every party, and photos of them keep surfacing. The guilty will be decided by courts and evidence, not by posts.
Quinn says the story was never about one election. He says the next phase begins November 3 and runs past January 3, beyond 2028, until a final reckoning in 2029. I cannot read his mind. I can read a calendar. November 3 is Election Day. January 3 is when the new Congress is sworn in. 2028 is the next presidential race. 2029 is the end of a term.
Think about what that means. A man with a keyboard and a grudge says he turned a nation's rage into a weapon. Maybe he did. Maybe he is the greatest fabulist of our age. Either way, millions were primed to believe, and the system that should have answered them stalled.
That is the real horror. Not one anonymous poster. A country so starved of honest answers that a puzzle could steer it.
Release every page without redactions. Put every name before a judge. Stop trusting strangers online, including the ones who say they love you, and including me.
