Which is more than enough to explain the difference between the number of bodies available.

Reincarnation cannot be possible. Scientists have proven your "soul" is the product of biology and has links to your brain. Those peopel smoke too many joints and hence false emmroies. It is very simple to put soemthing fake into someone's head like what was done with yours. Ghosts cannot exist. If the brain is dead it's all gone.

…proven it how? Materialists still can't explain how consciousness with its many mental objects can be created from whatever material is in the brain, the reason top scientists always dismissed it.

And science, in case you forgot, requires getting off your ass and investigating how the world works, not arbitrarily deciding what can or cannot be possible based on your faith.

If ghosts cannot exist, why do thousands of medics report encountering the phenomenon called OBE during NDE, when an unconscious patient observes their environment without using their eyes, and then their observations are confirmed by the personnel?

Indeed, reincarnation isn't the only phenomenon pointing to the existence of such mind-made bodies (the list of things a materialist must deny to maintain their faith is quite long nowadays). And veridical transmission of information is how the existence of invisible particles is confirmed, a method as good as any.
