I’m genuinely starting to feel nauseous.
Hogwarts was founded around the year 990. By that point the European wizarding world already had things like Time-Turners, Invisibility Cloaks, and Filch’s entire bloodline being squib trash-tier magic.
Yet J.K. Rowling insists that the largest magic school in the world is Uagadou, somewhere in Africa, with no specific founding date even mentioned. Students cast spells using hand gestures and finger movements (?), and it’s supposedly several times bigger than Hogwarts.
Is she not literally saying “the true origin and peak of magical civilization was in the hands of black Africans”?
Magic in the series clearly functions as a stand-in for human technological/scientific progress.
So the symbolism becomes:
Europe = already peaked and decayed before the Renaissance
Real advanced magic = African finger-wandless casting + animagus-level animal transformation + dream-based prophecy
Has the author lost her mind?
Or did she get PUA’d into oblivion by some black boyfriend, or is she cashing some extremely specific grant money?
A middle-class Scottish white woman writes the biggest wizarding school in the deepest jungles of Uganda, forcing Western child readers to look up in awe like “wow… such powerful African magic…”what a nigger.
Are British women writers niggers' dogs?It makes me sick.
