Clickbait aside, the site launched on Halloween after our last place went down. We never actually died, but went into hiding for a long time after the Halle shitshow. Now we're back and finally in control of our own infrastructure, so we're trying to find anons in the corpses of various alt /pol/s. I'm not sure why but we have evaded the bot spam that plagues most other imageboards. I think a lot of that is actually done by autists mad at a site.Bots can't keep up with live posting either way.

As an excuse to bump the thread, if you're unhappy with the culture of megu/pol/ but still want to test out meguca for your own /pol/ board, this is the current canonical git head.

The fork that runs on homurachan will be made publicly available on a git repo sometime next month. It has more features, is more secure for admins and users and is much simpler to deploy than zkm's fork. The fork is licensed under the AGPLv3, so source code is available on request on homurachan, but it's not ready for general use yet.
