There are different kids of Oil but the energy cartels have been lying about Oil for decades. The Energy Cartels sit directly under the banks in the oligarchical power structure. The energy cartels also have a death grip on science.
It is true the USA is, singularly, the largest producer of oil as a country but OPEC and BRICS combined dwarf US production. If the USA were to stop exporting oil today the rest of the world would be fine. The real threat to US homogony would be if OPEC stopped forcing the US dollar as payment for energy–that's actually what would crash the US economy.
De-US-dollaring the global economy would end the United states Power Homogony and the first significant step towards that is pushing OPEC off the US dollar. The other issue that would need to be addressed is which country would, after the collapse of the US economy, would take over global maritime trade route protection?
For Clarity the US spends about 40Billion a year on the Navy who's primary job is to protect global shipping routes and to enforce global trade agreements. Without the US doing this global shipping costs skyrocket.
