Spend a little bit more when ou visit the stationary store and the Parker 18k tipped fountain pen might catch your sight. I couldn't resist the smooth lines, and brilliant sparkle of the gold trimmed four color pen. There are six visible 18k gold pieces on the Parker Sonnet II pen. This French made beauty is worthy of the royal blue ink it holds in the refillable barrel.
Putting all the beauty of this pen aside. It just isn't balanced right for me and the shaft is to thin. My hand constantly slides down the shaft causing defective penmanship. Perhaps effeminate French hands can hold on the grip better. Definitely, Sloppy and Beautiful

The pen is to beautiful. I have to give it one more chance. Take II on the Parker Sonnet II pen. I finally see my personal problem with this lovely French creation. The ink delivery sweet spot is just to tiny. What feels like a gallon of ink pours out when the tip touches the paper. However if your angle changes in the slightest, hardly any ink. Making for sloppy writing. This same tip might work well with a wider grip and a rougher touch on the fingers.
Any change from the angle held makes a substantial increase or decrease in the amount of ink spread. Thus making the bottom f the page quite a trick for a left handed writer.

HOLY COW! O_o
I used to have Parker pens when I was a kid, just the "simple" ones from National Bookstore. I always had my name engraved.

I found the same pen a lot cheaper here. It is a limited edition pen. 1945 were made to commemorate the signing of the peace treaty with Japan by general Douglas MacArthur.

This one isn't as cheap. But, it's definitely not ridiculous like the first.

What is the difference between the centennial and the International? You need to write a review. Then post a link of the pen that you actually have.

I don't have one yet though. I had a Parker pen when I was in high school but I dunno where that is. I may have had 2 or 3 but only one at a time. I made sure they all had my name engraved in script.
