if tools would have been affordable 20 years ago and if the videos explaining everything already existed, i probably would have started caring about it sooner. stupid consumer dystopia. now the tools are cheap, the information is ridiculously convenient to find but the wood is so expensive that it does not even make economic sense to build stuff anymore. carpentry is a form of luxury almost. i never build stuff, i always just combine slop from the store. but because i play so much factorio, it is highly useful.

meanwhile i smoke weed and dance to music i like and enjoy life as if your collective ambitions mean nothing to me, but not in bags as big as snoop. i would last a lifetime with those two bags, these quantities are ridiculously oversized.

for a long time i thought weed might be man's best friend but now i think the tomato is. a world without weed would suck but not as much as a world without tomato sauce.

i buy the small tomatoes that are organic and i often make raw sauces from them and all you mucus-filled heathans have no idea how good it is because mcdonald doesn't sell it.

whatever + sesame seed paste = wonderful healthy sauce. i have a small blender and a big blender and in the small blender i throw nothing but those organic small tomatoes. i just quickly liquify them and then i add the sesame paste and some herbs and spices and it becomes a sauce like that. this is how ridiculously privileged i eat.

in the summer, while guys that look like you eat sausage with mustard where i live, i sometimes don't eat and just drink fresh juice but not for a few hours or a day, i did this for weeks and months. it is a extreme thing to do and i approached this very carefully in small steps.

during the hottest part of the year, i once ate nothing, drank nothing and the only thing going in my body was freshly centrifuged watermelon juice for a little over 2 months.

cleanses the body and the mind. it is not as badass as actual fasting where the person doing it only drinks water. it does not include the same feeling of constantly being tired because the fruit has all the energy a person needs, there was no problems for me running on the mono-fruit-fuel other then the psychological inability to wield this much energy. i felt like a child in an adults body, constantly forgetting that the energy i was able to spend was infinite. how much energy i had available took time to mentally adjust to. and then when the energy was gone, i felt weak and mortal.

normal people think bread is vegan. vegans eat plants. bread isn't a plant, it might be made from plants but where is this process happening? in the factory. vegan food is not made in the factory, it is grown from the earf.

when i eat stupid stuff like bread, i get tired all the time and mucus starts to fill the complicated sinus-cavities in the skull, reducing my ability to smell. normal eaters usually have very poor ability to smell because their sinuses are clogged. though not being able to smell is a blessing where i live because the big city stinks disgusting and the people too. yuck when people use parfume, it is always dialed into the nose of people who almost lost the ability to smell so it is waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy to strong for a healthy nose. i shouldn't call it parfume, it's earned name is repellent.

i stirr a pinch of salt in boiling water and let it cool until it is just pleasantly warm and then i pour it into one nose-hole so that it comes out the other nose-hole. this helps keeping the sinuses clean and since i started doing it a few years ago, i don't think i caught a cold. i did catch the covid but it was mild and quick because i was ready for it, covid had no chance.

when i first did netipot, the water only dripped out because it had to fight it's way through all the clogged mucus. now that i have very little mucus, if any, the stream coming out the other nostril is thick and drains the netipot quick because now there is so much more room for the water to pass though.

i always do it in 2 or 3 rounds. so i do it once, wait half an hour and do it again and in the second round, more mucus has flown to wear the netipot can reach it so it gets flushed out. i believe it helps noticably. it helps the cleaning out of the head that the body does not have an easy job with anatomically reaching. all cells want to be close to muscles because those are the only ones able to transport lymphatic waste. every time a muscle is flexed, cellular poop gets pumped further towards the nearest processing station (the kidneys) and ends up in the pee. normies don't believe in this, not because it isn't sold at mcdonalds but because their doctor was trained to believe otherwise. doctors call attention, research and experience towards the lymphatic system "quackery". well since covid doctors aren't people anymore anyways.

meanwhile some assholes wage some kind of war again and torture people apparently and some other asshole filmed the thing and now they can obsess over it for a while until the next thing demands their attention.

this is what i am eating this fine evening. lightly steamed brusselsprouts with rice and the luxurious tomato-herb-spice-sesamepaste sauce.

i got in the habit of not buying the convenience stuff anymore and instead always craft my own sauces. i don't even own a ketchup currently. also i own a fridge but i don't use it. i do use a freezer to store food i make for a few days, weeks or months. in the winter i just put a cardbord box on my balcony and put stuff i want to be cold in there instead of using a fridge. what a ridiculous waste of energy to have an inside-fridge in the winter because that means heating the house and then cooling it in the kitchen in one special spot. for the last few years i only used it in the summer (if at all) so i could stock up on watermelons when their price fell. but since then, the lowest price for watermelon has trippled so there is no use to snipe the day where they are cheap because they are never cheap. greedy assholes. i got so good at finding good deals on fruits and vegetables, i could very comfortably live on minimum wage no matter how much they try to inflate the stupid currency. these fools don't understand how unattracrive they make the participation in their currency system…

i think these fake meats are for consumer idiots. it always takes me so long to find out what they are made of that i already lose interest in the store. they just can't admit what it is and write it on the stupid packaging, why would i want my vegetables to look and taste like meat. this is for women trying to train their soon to hit the wall husbands into eating a way that she can extract labour and service from him for longer. also they are made in factories, which means they can't be vegan and they are made of chemical isolates too. obviously the husbands eat the convenience garbage because they secretly want to die and hope the food will accelerate the process. all a fool has to do is eat cheese and every bite of cheese is making the wheels fall off just a little bit more.

not even just because of the meat, just in general, sausages have been a big mistake. the biggest mistake was probably cheese. cheese or soda.

i can't believe it when i see grown ass adults load these sugarwaters into their shopping cart. if they think this stuff is safe to drink, how do they even walk the streets without such a dog that the blind people use.

this is my current base in factorio, crackers. (i completed the dlc once and this is my second playthrough where i already know everything and make better longterm decisions as i already know which technologies are coming and not rely too much on inefficient old ways)

as you can see i have quite the hollow base. this is a minimal build. i am using flying construction and logistic bots. so when there is one of the visually distinct resources that i would be trying to mine (copper, iron, coal, stone, uranium), first i would have the construction bots build an electrical path together with charging stations. then i have them place a bunch of miners that loosen the ore from the patches and then i have to find some way of transporting the iron ore to the ovens, a conveyor belt for example. the belt brings the ore to the smelter, a little arm does that. the arm can also take the smelted plates out and transport them to other machines that use the freshly smelted iron plate.

in this screenshot i zoomed into the topmost part of the teal electrical rectangles two show the two ore patches. left one is copper, right one is coal. my bots can reach there now so next time i need copper or coal, i can quickly begin placing miners there. i exhausted the noob coal patch from the starting position and soon need more.

one of the things that can be made out of iron plates in a factory (which the game calls assembler) is this nice car. i got out of remote view and drove it to the twin ore patches so the playercharacter can be in the next picture.

this is as much as i can zoom in. you can see the playercharacter and you use wasd keys to move the dude around.

the center part of the factory was so big that i put it in two pictures.

this is the upper part,

there is fluid processing on the right. turns out i forgot to mention crude oil from the pumpjack. on the map there are a few oil patches that pumpjacks can be built on. it is first made into heavy oil, light oil and petroleum gas in a refinery that has quite the intimidating amount of fluid pipes required to handle 2 input and 3 output fluids, especially once there is more then one refinery.

assemblers on the left. while most things are connected with belts, i have my assembly completely with bots that store their products in a logistic network so that way i can only produce as little as i actually need and very easily increase or produce the amount of assemblers. i just let the bots lay down more assemblers while i am not burdened with wasted capacity or overproduction. this does require way more electricity but since i built two nuclear reactors on the map, i have basically unlimited electricity at this point.

on the right are two trains. they are another thing that can be built with the iron plates inside an assembler and so do the tracks to ride on. the trains bring copper ore from the north and iron ore from the south. this is why my base is looking that way since a few mining outposts (including oil pumping outposts) are connected minimally. i could have made it a big rectangle to claim maximum territory. i could easily afford it but there is simply no need. i have the resources and the electricity to make it this big and since i made everything into blueprints that the bots can construct, it would take me a few seconds to order all; still i don't.

on the lower part streching downward from the horizontal belts in the middle are my smelting arrays. they are tiny ovens that i modded in for more of them in a tighter space. usually an oven is a 2*2 or 3*3 tile building but the tiny modded oven is only 1*1. only as wide as a belt. usually smelting areas in factorio are huge but with just a little bit of modding i made it this efficient and tiny. can you see the iron ore from the southern train being brought into the smelter via belt? the copper ore from the northern train is flowing to the copper smelters where it is turned from copper ore into copper plates, which then get transported to the north with a belt. most of it is turned into copper wire to make computer chips for all the machines that are in use.

a few trees on the left. you can see the electrical poles, those are the big ones to carry the electricity over longer distances. there are also small ones. my smelting array uses advanced substations that can supply a large area with electricity, that way i was able to pack the smelting array so tightly! in the beginning it has to be way bigger because of all the small electrical poles that have to fit in.

the big cans are roboports. the idle bots rest in there and they have to recharge themselves after a few seconds of flight, which is why there are so many roboports around the assemblers and around the logistic chests that store all the things.

this is the nuclear power plant. i could get away with only having one but since i wanted to overclock my machines with modules more this time, i preemtively built another reactor. currently they power 40 turbines (where the heat that the reactors produced, that has transferred via heatpipe, turns water into steam that then turns a propeller that generates electricity. i think they could power way more like 60 or 80, so i can easily add on. i can also easily add on more reactors. conveniently placed near the lake. if you look close you can see the fish in there, if you can get them out of the water, you can eat, they restore hp that you might lose when you fight. so you could run into battle shooting the local biters or even another player and help your health to stay up by eating a fish every so often, giving you quite the edge.

the reactor is powered by nuclear fuel cells that i produce away from all my other machines near the uranium mine. radioactivity is not harmful in the game but i still play like it was. i guess the spacetraveling engineer is unaffected by radioactivity.

the planet that the player crashlands on in the beginning of the save-file, the game calles Nauvis. but there are other planets to play on. now since they released the dlc, there errection of the skypenetrating rocket is no longer the goal, instead it is to build a rocket and then a space plattform and then build a thruster on the space plattform and use it as a spaceship to first travel to other planets but then later like a space-freight-train to automatically collect and deliver cargo so all the planets can enjoy all the fruits from the other planets, which are necessary to reach the outer edge of the solar system.

here you can see a belt closeup. you can always tell what it carries, iron plates on the top belt, iron ore on the lower belt, middlebelt is empty. belts can easily go underground to avoid the obstacles (roboport and powerpole).

the lower belt with the iron ore has this two-way building built on it's path. this is a splitter and turns one belt into two belts. that way the smelter below, can get half the input ore and the other half can go on to another smelter.

this is the complicated refinery array. it is a extra tiny 3*3 refinery that i modded into the game. usually refinery is 5*5, which does make it easier to use considering it has 2 input (water and oil) and 3 outputs. but as you can see, with a carefully woven pipesystem that makes good use of underground pipes it is possible. those pipes are just as easy to use as the underground belts.

here is a stone patch being mined with modded 2*2 miners. the default miner size is 3*3. you can see how the regular small electric poles (these are even wooden ones) are annoying and waste a lot of space. they block two whole columns.

here you can see the tiny 1*1 modded ovens being fed with a little arm the game calls inserter. there are two underground belts directly feeding a splitter before one goes to the left while the other one goes down and this is to balance. when one of the belts is empty (which can happen because i use trains to carry the ore to the ovens), it gets split so each array can get half and that way it might unload the other belt faster so that the train can leave sooner.

you can also see theelectrical substations on the top. minimap is quite useful to help orient.

here you can see an oil field. in the wild there are sometimes these little oil puddles and the pump jacks can only be placed on top of the puddles and once they are placed, have electricity and pipes connected that can transport the liquid to some place it is used or a fluid tank (which i don't even use) or a fluid barrel (which i use hundreds of and i let the bots carry the oil inside barrels to where it is needed).

currently beginning first space plattform. the little building in the middle is the centerbuilding of the space plattform, if it is destroyed the entire thing falls appart. other then that the shapes of spaceships can vary quite a lot and people have built all kinds of different space ships in factorio.

i built it rather narrow and small, with a belt that does not go all the way around in a circle but rather in an upside-down u-shape near what will be a wall with turrets that shoot bullets i make from iron. the iron i harvest from asteroids. there are two thruster fluids that the space thrusters need and i can also make both from asteroids that i catch with long arms.

i can't have logistic bots on the space ships and chests also can't be used so i just use one long looping belt to carry and store everything i am using, which only works when i carefully limit how much of everything is released on the belt. otherwise it can get quite difficult to weave belts on a space plattform, i guess i usually make the spaceship too big or too small. this seems small but i have also gotten pretty good at not using much space so it might be enough. i'd say

here is the space ship for the early game, though it is pretty easy to just enhance this ship to mid game and then once more for late game without having to build a new one. i like this half-hollow design, reminds me of a fishbone. most important factor for determining how easily and efficient the spaceship can accellerate and hold speed is width. a narrow spaceship is easier to thrust forward then a wide one, though a wide one also has space for more thrusters.

some people built ridiculous ships barely wider then the central building, maybe 10 tiles wide, some don't even build weapons, they just crash through the asteriods by constantly repairing a crash-zone of wall made from stone bricks. imagine sending bricks up into space to your spaceship so you can build a wall on your spaceship to defend it from the asteroids XD. dudeman should just send up some glue and assemble a shield made from asteroids, too bad this isn't possible in the game (yet).
