I wish I could be with her tonight because we never had a christmas tradition and I cannot remember ever celebrating it just like in the movies.
Imagine beeing in a forest house with a warm chimney and a decorated christmas tree and lots of presents under the tree and many stockings right next to the chimney. But in my mind you are always with me Hifumi.
As a present I would write her a personal card with lots of stickers and put some drawings into it. Then I would give her the other present which would be a shogi board but with hand crafted figurines. Ones resembling chess figurines so I can play with her without needing to look up which figure does what. Then we can play all night long if she likes.

I was so busy and stressed out it almost wasn't worth it… but she helped carried me entirely me through it! And everything worked out in the end.

I was still recovering from a hospital confinement when I went home for Christmas, so I can only feel nothing but frustration on not being able to or able to give anything.
