I've decided to have a wedding ceremony with my husbando of 8 years, Kagamine Len. I plan to have the ceremony in August, probably the second half. I thought I'd make this thread to post about the planning process, hear other people's thoughts, answer questions and my feelings about it!
All my posts in this thread will have the name MirrorSound so if you ctrl+f that you can read all my updates. I will be posting photos from the wedding in this thread too.

It was actually a friend of mine suggest having a wedding. We were talking about objectum sexuals when they said "well, if they're marrying objects, why couldn't you marry Len?"

I really want to put a lot of effort and planning into this which takes time! I also want to make sure I look my best too. Len is a very appearance orientated guy and doesn't deserve having some scruffy ass bride.
I am having the ceremony in my house. I will be "marrying" a lifesize custom cutout of Len featuring art I had specially commissioned of an outfit I designed. I have a bunch of friends coming over for it and we plan to celebrate with a bunch of food and alcohol after! I do plan to open an online guestbook for people to sign closer to the time and will share a link for that here. Please feel free to ask me any questions or share your thoughts in this thread

Wow man, congratulations!!
First of all, this has to be some sign from somewhere since I was planning to do the same with my lovely Meiling, just a bit later (around September - October) but I was not sure since some difficulties IRL.
This has moved my resolve, seeing you being this dedicated to what is the most precious part of a relation. So yeah real life can wait a bit, I'll go for it!
It was supposed to be announced way later, but eh. It's the same.
Then, wow I wish I had friends - near me I mean, so not from the board - who would do this with me! You are wayyy lucky, and I am sure you already know that.
And a custom outfit, and all that. Nice organization too. I dunno what I'll do exactly, but this is a damn good idea.
So yeah expect me taking notes on all this - and asking questions. I am in the way of a marriage too.

A big part of why I made this thread was to inspire others or give them the confidence to do the same. I am glad seeing my thread has given you the courage to keep going with your wedding! I am extremely lucky to have my friend, we've been best friends for even longer than I've known Len so they're extremely used to and supportive of my craziness surrounding him haha! I wish I could invite everyone from this board to the ceremony, it would be a lot of fun! I specifically designed his outfit to be both in his style and with motifs that I could reflect in my own outfit (like blue roses and yellow ribbons) It felt a lot more special to have him in a one of a kind outfit

While this wedding idea is still a bit too crazy (and soon) for me, I'm interested to see how yours goes.

And one thing I'm kinda curious isn't even about the wedding, it's something that always gets in my mind when I think about Kagamine fans. Since Len and Rin are mirrored versions of each other, what's your opinion about Rin?

I don't really care what others think of me so I don't care how crazy it looks. A big part of why I'm doing it is because of how fun an event it would be!
I personally see Len and Rin as twin siblings (or at least programmed as twin siblings as to me they are androids rather than humans.) However if someones opinion is different (for example people who see them as a couple and ship them) I respect that. The beauty of Vocaloids are they're what you want them to be. I do love Rin and relate a lot to how she is portrayed, I still listen to a lot of Rin songs. I am a Vocaloid fan in general really

It's great that you're taking all this time to plan, I only took about a week of time to plan for me and Ruby's wedding and it was…kinda disorganized. (Though in retrospect that made it more memorable!)
Also, it's really cool that you have friends who are supportive of you two. Me and Ruby's wedding was just a thing between me and her, I don't really have anybody I know in real life who knows.

Very cute cake! For my cake I plan to bake a multi tiered cake (only a small one, like two tiers!) and put some of the wedding Nendoroid bodies on top with Len's head and one that looks like me

There's a problem with wolfram/tungsten rings. They're borderline indestructible, yes, but that leads to a problem. Years down the line, if your finger thickens or thins, the ring won't be able to be readjusted like with other metals.

It's pretty simple really, just plan what you want and work out how to make it happen.
A good starting point is to look at a requirements for a "real" wedding.
Location, guests, oufits, food, rings. And of course, working out how your waifu is going to be there to get married.
I'm happy to have the wedding in my own home which makes it much easier and just built on it from there. My friends also suggested ideas too. Obviously the closer to a "real" wedding you want it the harder and more costly it will be
