Wow, it has been quite some time since I last posted here.

There are in fact several songs that make me think of her, but this one especially hits the mark of recreating the atmosphere of me being in love with her. The lyrics are mostly unrelated, but somehow I feel like the distance described in the song and how there is a great thing that just does not seem to be allowed to come together fits what I am going through with Nonon perfectly.

On top of that the song in my opinion also succeeds in getting that provocative cheerfulness and pure awesomness that both are so inherent to Nonon´s personality just right, which is a rather rare occurance.

I think I have a jaded look on love, I don't think you can have it without tears, but her voice moves me in ways I can't describe. There are a lot happier songs, songs with good endings and upbeat melodies, but a sorrowful, desperate feeling is where I find love.

Another one of my favorites by Schubert; String Quartet No. 14 in D minor, "Death and the Maiden"

The story behind this one is quite interesting. It seems he composed it after he suffered through a serious illness and realized he was dying. He was also suffering from depression and had little to no money at the time.

One of the letters he wrote to a friend said this:
