Yeah I think I'm not alone when I say I've had just about enough. The front page showing stuff from days, sometimes up to a week or more prior is nothing new and it's one of those things that could very well keep someone from posting to begin with seeing as it makes the board look (even) dead(er). Both that and not being able to make threads owing to some error or another in general on a fairly regular basis have been something I'd dealt with personally so I've been left wondering how it might have been affecting others.
Over the past day and across something like a five hour period I'd been pain-stakingly porting over much of the better content (content that, if not technically refined, is at least evidence of someone's struggle for artistic self-actualization) from this board over to https://www.8chan.moe/loomis (up next, archiving highlights from the drawthreads if not their entiretey, selecting some of the more detailed and valuable critiques to archive in their own thread, as well as some of the miscellaneous stuff like making a thread for anon's comic series and the "weekly drawthread" cards as many of them were pretty clever and had some effort put into them by their creator).
I appreciate 8kun for allowing us to reclaim a home here but the technical issues have unfortunately been significant and persistent from the beginning-enough so that it's a wonder that we've been able to hold on to what little activity we have. Decentralization is ultimately a good thing, the 8kun board isn't necessarily going anywhere and can function as a redoubt should anything happen to 8chan.moe or the other backup board on anon.cafe; having more options does nothing other than help facilitate this small community's longevity. I held out hope that all the technical issues would eventually simply vanish but, foolishly, I'd kept on hoping and eventually I think something like an entire year had slid by.
I will be making an official exodus sticky on sunday, at which point I should have ported over everything I'd felt warranted it and then some. Thanks for your contintued patience.
