Have any of you read some of the policy proposals coming from the Democratic candidates for 2020? I mean, Sanders is already known to be a socialist, but Yang, holy fucking shit. This stuff reads like dystopian nightmare fuel, and I'm not even touching the UBI stuff. I really encourage you guys to read this stuff, it's fucking insane. I mean, I'm an autistic weeb lolbertarian, and I think this guy has out-autismed ME for fucks sake.

https://www.yang2020.com/policies/human-capitalism/

>In order to spur development, the government should issue a new currency – the Digital Social Credit – which can be converted into dollars and used to reward people and organizations who drive significant social value. This new currency would allow people to measure the amount of good that they have done through various programs and actions.

>Imagine an AI life coach with the voice of Oprah or Tom Hanks trying to help parents stay together or raise kids. Or a new Legion of Builders and Destroyers that install millions of solar panels across the country, upgrade our infrastructure and remove derelict buildings while also employing tens of thousands of workers. Or a digital personalized education subscription that is constantly giving you new material and grouping you with a few other people who are studying the same thing. Or a wearable device that monitors your vital signs and sends data to your doctor while recommending occasional behavior changes. Or voting securely in your local elections via your smartphone without any worry of fraud.

https://www.yang2020.com/policies/free-marriage-counseling/

I have no comment on this.

https://www.yang2020.com/policies/modern-time-banking/

>As President, I will…

> Create a new time banking app to track points awarded and traded for helping your community and neighbors

> Donate all my points to the top-earning high school students in each state.

> Set time banking points prizes for a visit to the White House and a meeting with me and/or fun civic-minded local celebrities

https://www.yang2020.com/policies/making-taxes-fun/

>Making Taxes Fun

Just the title, dear fucking lord.

https://www.yang2020.com/policies/mental-health/

>Invest in AI counselors and other technology that may be helpful in identifying and treating mental health issues across a broad population. The AI would refer issues to a human psychologist.

>Promote the use of AI for social workers

>Promote the use of AI and telecounseling for those who need a psychologist

This stuff needs to be memed to all high-hell and back, holy shit.

Pic definitely related. This is a presidential candidate. Dear lord.

To be honest, I don't think there's a chance in hell of this retard winning and the only people who unironically believe that he's a genuine candidate for the presidency are either e-celebs who flip their opinion based on whatever unsuccessful shills on 4 and 8/pol/ are shoving down people's throats or transsexuals who convince depressed teenagers that they have a boipussy.

webm completely related.

That's…fucking horrifying. IMO China saw how Russia intervened in 2016 (we can argue about the extent of the intervention, but there were at the very least troll farms and money-funneling going on.) and said "lets back this Yang guy and make memes of our own! If it worked for Trump, it can work for us!" The Yang memes I've seen that aren't counter-memes from /pol/ seem artificial…forced. That pepe dragon? It's pathetically obvious pandering. Anyway, this social credit shit is insane a d makes me want to join the doomsday preppers.

Reminder that you can stop shilling by Chinese government actors by mentioning or posting images of:

- Tiananmen Square

- 1989

- Tank man

- Winnie the Pooh

- 六四天安門 事件

- 6月4日天安门广场大屠杀

- 6月4日天安門廣場大屠殺

Or doing anything that would ruin their social credit score. Also, this is surprisingly effective at destroying posting frequency in Yang2020 threads, but that's probably completely unrelated.

I hope this ward works well for you. If only we had as good a ward for the JDF.

Yang's not perfect, but seeing as though the most likely outcome is Bernie imposing legit socialism after defeating all the other Democratic candidates and then Trump, we should back the one guy who's sane enough to see through the smokes and mirrors of socialism while realizing that the current capitalist system is in need of reform.

>[Bernie] defeating all the other Democratic candidates and then Trump

Comrade Sanders is marginally more sane than the rest of the hopefuls, but that isn't saying very much. His primary base is still potheads who barely show up to polling places, and he still has all the charisma of a dead fish. The man got cucked off his own rally stage by people who ostensibly support him, I can only imagine the assraping he'll take on the debate stage. Especially against someone with as domineering a personality as Trump. Assuming he doesn't die before the election, he doesn't pose any kind of serious threat to Trump.

How does any of these neuanced policies help us other than putting more power in the hands of the state?

You've already established a new state sales tax on Amazon stuff that increases costs of goods. All new taxes go on the shoulder of consumers.

As if only 253 million people will claim the 1000/month for 12 months with uncountable MILLIONS of additional illegal aliens claiming pathways to citizenship. The US economy will hemorrhage billions that will be paid by the subservience of your own people.

Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a better record on budgetary restraint.

People have short attention spans. Further, your forgetting some key things about Trump. First, he's an excellent showman. While his actual presidency has been disappointing, he is good at being a candidate, which is something I expect to see again once the campaign ramps up again. Specifically, he's very, very good at making his opponents look like villains. It will be be a repeat of what happened in 2012: despite the normie's dissatisfaction with the Obongo, he and the democrats were able to scare them into voting against the Republicans. Trump will likely be able to do the same thing with the Dems, especially since they're trying their hardest to appear insane and unhinged.

Some socialist shit in the 20th century got pretty bad, but this insane level of government intervention is a comparatively new idea historically. The state didn't even exist as we know it until the 1600s, and even after that rulers were relatively hands-off compared to contemporary ones.

>>101214

> I mean, there are plenty of insane things in history, though. Like that time Caligula went to war with Poseidon.

That's largely an ahistorical legend, created by successive mistranslations. The original order was to tear down huts on the coast of Britain, which got misinterpreted as collecting seashells as trophies, due to the similarity in the word for seashell and the slang for the legion's portable huts. Then someone took collecting seashells as trophies to mean that Caligula was collecting war trophies from Neptune.
