Let's talk about fun Libertarian media, movies, video games, anime, music, anything that comes to mind. That goes for media that are actually libertarian in nature as well as those who simply have the themes of freedom in them.

>C: The money of soul and possibility control

An autistic battle-shounen themed around economics and taking the Austrian side of the debate.

>Outlaw Star

Not really Libertarian in the traditional sense of the word but has themes of freedom in it. The main characters are basically a bunch of adventurers that do not consider themselves to be under the jurisdiction of any law and follow the ideology of "Outlaws". They are not criminals mind you, just people who do not believe in the state having power over them.

Besides Rands' various works only one I can think of is The Moon is a Harsh Mistress.

C seems interesting.

>Armitage III

The story of a majority-male colony on Mars getting coerced by a feminist Earth government to outlaw an advanced type of female android that can reproduce. Watch the OVAs; first movie summarizes them, second movie is an actual sequel.

>Fist of the North Star and Trigun

Neither of these are overtly political, they're just about some big hero saving small villages/settlements in desert wastelands from Mad Max-ish warlords. Fist is more eastern, Trigun is more western. Both definitely disappear into their own lore halfway, so the "libertarian" aspect in either show is short-lived.

>A Certain Magical Index / A Certain Scientific Railgun

Both of these series involve a pseudo-dystopic state that runs cruel experiments and paramilitary operations, though that's not the "point" a lot of the time. One major arc in both, the "Sisters" arc, is about sabotaging one such experiment.

>Revolutionary Girl Utena

Definitely leans more into the socially liberal stuff, but it's rather tasteful (usually). Generally focuses on coming of age, but as the name implies the concept of revolution is dealt with. The movie's a fun ride, but won't make much sense if you haven't seen the show. Probably more enjoyable for teenagers than for young adults.

This phrase irritates me because "young adult" as a genre isn't targeted towards adults who are young, but anyone of the age of 12 and older.

I think Firefly and Serenity have some libertarian themes. INB4 Joss Whedon but the themes are there, especially in Serenity.

I meant it more because, sure, there are probably adults on this board, but I doubt any of them are over 30. But the point is that the show is about teenagers, so it stands to reason that a teenager would empathize with it more than any other age group.

I personally agree with Kaiki from Monogatari, whose speeches and monologues in regards to money make a lot sense, especially to BTFO the whole "money is evil" meme.

I know it's a bit of a stretch to include Star Wars but would Lando be considered an agorist? He's always starting some business venture that may or may not be legal.

For video games (funnily enough) there's actually already a thread on one of the closest things to it and ironically it's just another "LIBERTY BTFOOO" thread. Now to be fair, the game really isn't logically or economically consistent and for the most part it seems like it's a mish mash of various different ideologies for the sake of the writing but it still has that overall tone of 90's esque internet libertarianism which is a pretty sweet gem to run across

I think some movies from the mid 2000's that are meant to be criticisms of Bush policies could be considered libertarian though it may be a case seeing what you want to see. I wonder if the 2nd Purge movie would count as libertarian media.

I know there was one libertarian comic called the Voluntarist or something that was cringy because it put politics before telling a good story.
