>"get away from politics for some time and go out bro"
Yeah I tried for a few months and I went almost crazy. I really need this stuff, I don't know why. It helps keeping me sane even if it's not my job.

The reason I got into politics was because it offered a good distraction from my own problems in life, I learned Austrian-school economics as a way of procrastinating and putting off more boring things. Also, I like hard to solve problems.

I got into politics because of how wrong the system I live in is. We were going so well, not even that long ago, and then we started beefing up the police, privatizing jails, putting cameras everywhere. Here class mobility is dying and the rich keep getting richer.

It's good to talk to people who think like you, for a lot of reasons. First, as a sanity check, to make sure these ideas that don't conform to what anyone around you think actually make sense when said aloud. Second, as a way to release stress, even if you're assured of your correctness. Going through life constantly filtering yourself gets stressful fast, and you need to take that muzzle off once in a while. Better to do that on a Mongolian throatsinging website than to stumble into work inebriated and ranting about the Fed. Normies don't need to do this because normie takes range from cold to tepid, and they can freely discuss their normie opinions with other normies. When you're a fringe weirdo like us you need to seek out conversation in unusual places.

To be honest, I got into politics because I like grilling retards. I used to debate competitively in highschool and it was pretty fun to crack the other team (even if we were on the 'incorrect' side). Modern politics are complete AIDS and the only enjoyment I get from having a phd in anarcho capitalism is fucking with peoples' shitty ideas.

If it is that's just retarded and self-defeating.

The sad part is in the trades there's plenty of normalfags who hold fringe political beliefs, but getting them to talk about them is a whole different ballgame. And when your opinions are more fringe than them, basically as you said.

You could partially circumvent this by finding online communities centered around locales. I don't know to what degree this is possible with Austrian Econ and liberty, but it works very well in the firearm community. Almost every state has a message board dedicated to firearm owners residing in that state. Ancap might be a bit too fringe for this, but I'm not sure.
