How does anyone really expect democracy to work anyhow?

It's awesome, but needs to be able to be trumped by anarchism of the "ditch these fools" variety.

No masters, free exit.

Easily the worst of all the different types of statism.

I used to think that direct democracy was ok in a small tight nit community but not possible in a large community. Now I see it as an idol people treat as inherently good even when it is not.

It was a necessary evil overton window shift when people didn't even understand the concept of life, liberty, and property. Now it's a useless ideal abused by the masses who can't even get behind those concepts.

It's a control mechanism in the hands of organized crime to generate a circus out of oppositions, who constantly make compromises for which nobody has to take the consequences. Meanwhile real politics is done behind the curtains.

This. In a sense, it's even worse than communism. In communism you know who the enemy is and it has a form, but in democracy society is divided against itself and evil hides in ambiguity.

People don't leave because the relatively free markets have made them wealthy and comfortable, not because of any ideological benefit from democracy. Why do you think migrants from third world shitholes are so eager to come to Western countries, so they can vote? Of course not, they just want the gibs.
