Differences in ethnicity are biological and thus invoke the biological in-group preference naturally present in all men. As such, they will always cause segregationary pressure and an incentive to divide, regardless of where you are. Class is not biological but largely a fiction invented by Marx for his own political purposes. As such, it will only create division among those who have been influenced by Marx or his followers. The less influence Marxism has in a given locale, the less divisive muh class will be, whereas ethnicity is always divisive. Therefore, ethnicity is a stronger divisionary force.

Nationality or race are classes, as much as economic class.
It can help to remember that "the left" is basically radical christianity for aetheists. As such, merchants, moneylenders, and priests of organized religion get it (and the priests at catalonia had a book to warn them - no sympathy). At the same time, sex offenders and other outcasts - whores, adulterers, racemixing samaritans - are teh awesome, and failing to respect the equality, autonomy, and dignity of children and toddlers is disrespecting jebbus, or whatever this translates to in aetheism.
