Ok, so what does /liberty/ think about this concept for Aurelia? I need your input.
As you can tell, I took some inspiration from this character >>101460, because I think she really does have some badass character design and I love the fashion sense, I think a modern/urban look would suit Aurelia really well, and I'm planning on improving the hairstyle or changing it altogether so I need some ideas here, I also want the face to be a bit less generic. She needs lots of accessories and symbology to reflect her personality, I was planning on giving her an MP5, because obviously she is pro-funs and she's ready to defend herself and her community, but that's just my raifu. She might have a necklace with a bitcoin on it, and maybe some badges with anti-communist symbols, and then some little keychains hanging on her gun, with little sneks dangling on them. This is basically what I came up with so far, but I need lots of ideas from you guys.

Also, you know what guys? I want to slightly change the way we all see this project if we want it to succeed. Our goal is to have a mascot that is actually loveable, that compels people to respost her and make OC of her, that is what I will consider a success for the project, not simply labelling it as "done" and "official". That's why from now on please don't think of the designs that I make as "final" or "official" or anything like that, just treat them as the my own personal interpretation of what Aurelia is like. I invite other artfags (regardless of skill) to join in and either edit and improve on existing designs according to their personal preferences, or make their own mascots from scratch, so that the people who actually make OC and those who repost it can choose which version of Aurelia they like best. This way we can compete and collaborate with each other in a free-market fashion.
The process of character design shouldn't be done democratically, we'll just get stuck on every little detail and won't get anywhere, or we'll get some mediocre Frankenstein-looking thing that doesn't match up to anyone's ideal. I will keep asking for advice, ideas, and criticism because I really want to design the best mascot of the board, but it hopefully won't be the only design. In fact, I'd love it if there were many different mascots for the board.

I personally choose to go with a modern/urban look with my design because I see her as a character fundamentally different from all the other authoritarian board mascots who wear government uniforms and have terrible "statist" fashion, and to me Pinochet isn't exactly the best representative of ancap ideals (besides the noble deed of throwing commies off helicopters). To me it should be clear from first glance that something sets Aurelia apart from the other board-tans, that she isn't a statist, that she doesn't have aspirations for power, that she is just a normal young girl with strong convictions, so in my designs I will try to reflect this. The fact that she is actually relateable, that she is a very realistic and down to earth person like most of us here, and not a card-carrying member of the party with delusions of grandeur, is why I personally think she would be a great mascot. Again, anyone with better ideas can suggest something better, but this is just the path I'm taking for now.
The specifics of the clothing should really be situational (eg: she is wearing Pinochet's hat and cape when throwing people off helicopters, but wears casual clothes at home, or wears a fancy dress while drinking tea with Grace-chan from /monarchy/, etc…), or should change according to the OC maker's personal preferences. I don't want there to be one rigid fashion sense that everyone, including myself, should conform to.

So I took my sweet-ass time again, but I finally got a chance to work on Aurelia and I'm very proud with her so far. Let's be honest, the hime-cut didn't suit her at all, but these messy braids look really cute and give her that adorable nerdy look which I think suits her really well. I could just reach out and hug her! As far as I'm concerned, I can move on to colouring now because that's where the ancap symbology (the black and yellow colour scheme) will really stand out, however, before I do that I want to experiment with some other clothes, symbols, and accessories to see how they would work.

Well it's literally everyone's mascot, so if someone thinks she looks better in something else, I can't really stop them from drawing her that way. I personally think hoodies would suit her really well.
How many of you guys ever browsed Safebooru/Danbooru/Sankaku Complex? The fashion and design that a specific character has there usually varies from artist to artist. I like that concept and I want it to apply to Aurelia as well. My own design isn't set in stone either.

I feel like I'm spending way too much time on what should have been completed long ago, so I want to start wrapping up with this soon. Dressing her up like this could go on forever, and as far as I'm concerned, the design was done with the hair and face, and everything else can be changed or added anytime, so I want to get to the fun part already: memes and OC, that's where the magic really happens, that's where the golden girl will really come alive and get to shine.
