The fundamentals are the same. The difference between western shit and Japanese stuff are different work ethics and different influence.
You're best of just learning how to copy accurately and then trying to apply that skill by copying Japanese artists. Only then does it make sense to look for their guides on how they approach construction.

You're more than welcome on our board. Before you start drawing from imagination, you have to draw from reference. Start with pencil and paper. Read Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards and do the exercises (though the stuff she recommends that you make like that plastic frame aren't really necessary).
A common misconception is that stylized faces are easier to draw than realistic ones. You have to study a lot of faces before you can make good stylized drawings.

I think the main focus is in this drawing is her body since her legs and hands are hidden from viewer. The thing about body shot is that you have to give a lot more detail in her body compared to other area because that's the only revealing part for viewer want to see aside from her face. The detail isn't fine enough for that drawing, personally I don't think you're ready to draw on that kind of pose. First thing first, get the proportion right. Understanding how the contour line works in drawing can really help you getting the shape of your figure right. Right now, the way you draw the head is kinda off. Maybe you should work on that before go into more difficult part.

You just need to be consistent my dear anon. Look back at your previous drawing here >>43107. The body looks alright, no errors there. The hair volume is good. Arm and leg are slightly long but still acceptable. Make sure the elbow dont pass below or reach at the same level of where the waist is. The elbow should be 1 or 1.5 inches just above the waist. The hip is slightly long.The way to measure this is when you try to fold your knee inward, the knee should touches the chest, not over the neck.

I found some Japanese guides on clothing but I can't read Japanese, it's a shame. All western guides are awful, they look like somebody made them in the early 90's. They also don't have the speciality that Japanese guides have.

Anyone still going?
I got a few helpful images collected by now, from pixiv or other websites.
If there is some interest I could upload it.
Personally outside of a break of a few months I been practicing properly. Can't believe a full year passed. I believe for that amount of time I could have improved a lot more, but I got lazy and frustrated.
