I don't own any. I have a dream to one day own a Yukari one though.

Figures are filthy.
It feels like something I love gets used by a bunch of chinks to make easy money with something they didn't create or put any effort into. And even if I were to get a figurine of the character I love the most, it would feel disrespectful to own a tiny 3D image of her, kinda the same way how cosplay is gross but on a tiny scale.

I don't like the articulated ones like in the OP, they seem tacky. Others can be okay though. I have a Darjeeling figure and some nenodroids. The problem is that they can be hard to get as they sell out all the time.

I picked up a couple early on in my collecting days, but I prefer statues to poseable figures these days.

I think they're tacky and overly expensive and are also cynically abused by people with no real interest in the franchises they're from to turn a few quick bucks. If I'm gonna buyfag something I much prefer things like wall scrolls; manga volumes, DVDs, or other physical copies; or plushies.

Even collecting various Touhou flyers from the stores are better because their designs are different each year & you don't have to spend a fortune to keep one for yourself.

I prefer figures. I get the appeal of making your own poses, but figmas just never look that good to me.

Cosplay is way worse. A good figure can actually represent a 2D person well in 3D. Cosplay can never even get close and is just always desperate and ugly.

I like the posability, but yeah, the joints are very ugly. Also, many Figma are only balanced in certain poses, which defeats the purpose...

The Suika figure is very nice, but her dress and hair are so stiff and voluminous that they severely limit the positions one can put her in. Also the mini-sooks, chains, bangs, and Ibuki Gourd have a tendency to randomly fall off. You are limited to a very select number of poses and never ever touching her again lest you spend an hour carefully reposing her.
None of the Misaka Imouto figure's hands fit the grip of the F2000R Toy Soldier nor the Metal Eater MX. Her goggles have a tendency to fall off either her forhead or face at the least jostle of the table she is on.
All in all my experiences with Figmas, and the figure industry in general, has been less than satisfactory. The lone figure I have purchased that was both excellent in appearance and carefully made with love and care was a garage kit I bought in either 2008 or 2009 of Misaka 9982. Although I must say the Misaka 10032 BQ figure had a very nice backside.
