KanjiDamage Plus+ is KanjiDamage with fewer mistakes. It's fine to generally distrust "fun" learning tools, but fun mnemonics can stick with people much better than the safer mnemonics in more professional books like RTK. Some kana examples-

Remember: If slaves get the whip they will NEver misbehave. ね=ne.

Remember: Sue-happy kikes put Christ on the cross. す=su

Only two kana I retained with 100% accuracy.

I'll try putting it another way. What's the point in learning something just to learn it? Yeah, it may make you more versatile on a resume, but then comes the question of why did you devote your time towards those studies instead of studying something actually useful or of more interest to you? And why, specifically, Japanese? Learning French, German, or Portuguese would be of more use to you. Even falling for the meme that "Everyone is learning Spanish" would open some opportunities. So, outside of being in the tech industry, why would you want to learn to read a language of chicken-scratch, stolen from bug-men, and only used by a bunch of sexist autistic traditionalists who are "behind the rest of the world and stuck in the past"?

Basically, what is it about Japanese (Be it their media, their culture, their ideals, etc.) that makes you want to go beyond just looking at a set of symbols and understanding it?

All right that's better.

>What's the point in learning something just to learn it?

Because of our biological nature, we are curious beings looking for knowledge. People are curious of what the future lies ahead of them, people are curious to learn of what happens behind closed doors, people want to know things.

>Yeah, it may make you more versatile on a resume, but then comes the question of why did you devote your time towards those studies instead of studying something actually useful or of more interest to you?

Sometimes one doesn't want to be a cog in the machine & do what everyone else is doing just because it works for them.

>And why, specifically, Japanese? Learning French, German, or Portuguese would be of more use to you.

Because learning something of more use to me means I won't get a satisfying adventure of learning completely different perspectives. As far as I'm aware, the western ideas present in English as still present in Europe. Whereas with Japanese there are different ways of looking at life and I like the idea of picture words (Kanji) than I do of English, after all "A picture is worth a thousand words"

>Even falling for the meme that "Everyone is learning Spanish" would open some opportunities.

So would any other language regardless of difficulty. Just because it's not being shilled as hard as Spanish doesn't mean doors won't be opened. You could learn Klingon and there would be doors opened.

>why would you want to learn to read a language of chicken-scratch, stolen from bug-men, and only used by a bunch of sexist autistic traditionalists who are "behind the rest of the world and stuck in the past"?

>only used by a bunch of sexist autistic traditionalists

I would make a comparison to English being used by self-hating liberals, but I think it would be more fair to say that a language is like a tool used for both good and evil, depending on who uses it and what for. Keep in mind also that the younger generation may not even be like their grandparents.

>"behind the rest of the world and stuck in the past"?

The world is currently throwing a fit over Islam & the import of millions of immigrants while also crying how they used to enslave darkies & the 6 gorillian, the world has trouble differentiating between 2D from 3D and thinks that 2Ds have the right to vote, breathe air, and have feelings. By that comparison of the tortoise and the rabbit, the tortoise of Japan is winning the race while the rabbit of the world is too busy beating himself up over his "White hare privilege" & is ashamed of his grandfather rabbit enslaving black rabbits.

Then why not Chinese, where the entire language is logograms rather than Japanese where the kana aren't really different from any other alphabet? Totally ignoring the fact that hardly any kanji have clear meanings you could derive from their shape in either language.

>why not Chinese,

Because I hate how it sounds when spoken, don't like Chinks, the country itself, and the food. My personal feelings toward them as a whole is negative and no amount of "But there's billions of Chinese people on this planet, the language is practical to learn" will change my mind.

>the kana aren't really different from any other alphabet?

Kanas are not an alphabet.

>Totally ignoring the fact that hardly any kanji have clear meanings you could derive from their shape in either language

That's where radicals of the kanjis come into play.
