Dipende dalla compattezza della linea difensiva. Non è che è come nella finzione dove viene posta attenzione al fatto che un giocatore viene messo in fuori gioco, sono manovre difensive dettate da portiere e perno difensivo e che avvengono in maniera subdola e repentina, altrimenti giocherebbero tutti saldamente fissati in area di rigore per paura di poter lasciare qualche negro n°11 dietro di se con un filtrante.

O meglio, venti anni fa quando è iniziato era molto divertente, l'anime gli rende giustizia, poi FKMT ha deciso che l'ultima parte (quella del Washizu Mahjong, la più famosa) dovesse durare quasi dieci anni perchè altrimenti come si finanzia l'harem personale
Ed ora è finito ed è pieno di momenti posti solo a riempire dieci anni di una sola sfida.
Comunque è la storia di un personaggio di un'altra serie di Fukumoto, Akagi Shigeru, tanto autistico nel MahJong quanto bravo a barare, in grado di distruggere psicologicamente i suoi avversari e non mostrando alcuna emozione per il 99% del fumetto. Almeno finchè non incontra tale Washizu nell'ultima gara, un personaggio talmente tanto più interessante e divertente che lo oscura completamente e la cui versione modificata del MahJong ha ispirato una controparte reale. Per intenderci, oltre ad alcune regole relative a come i punti vengano distribuiti (tralasciando il fatto che giocano con il loro sangue), 3/4 dei tasselli sono completamente trasparenti, in modo tale che l'avversario già conosca parte della tua mano.

Le scommesse hanno ovviamente un peso sempre maggiore, fino all'ultimo avversario (Washizu) che si gioca il sangue delle sue vittime. Non necessita di spoiler (??? come si traduce diamine) perchè dura dieci anni di manga, il mio consiglio è quello di vederti l'anime se preferisci una bella esperienza e poi di correre al capitolo corrispondente la fine di quest'ultimo, oppure se vuoi ridere di una persona che non sa disegnare ma che fa milioni per il suo stile leggiti direttamente il manga.

Sì, ma assumono sempre che bene o male qualche conoscenza di base tu ce l'abbia. Non è necessario per l'intrattenimento ma può darti qualche aiuto a capire la gravità delle singole azioni.
Aggiungo che se invece preferisci qualcosa di simile ma con meno MahJong, leggiti Kaiji o Ten o praticamente qualsiasi altro manga di Fukumoto. Negli ultimi tempi si sta convertendo al Giudaismo, ma tutto ciò che ha scritto in precedenza ricade o nell'interessante o nell'esilarante per quanto sia disegnato male.

Inoltre, Fukumoto soffre della sindrome di ZUN, per la quale i disegni originali lo avrebbero fatto entrare alle accademie d'arte Austriache post-zio Adolfo mentre praticamente tutti i fanart(???Arte di fan?) sono opere d'arte da mostrare al Louvre o piene di memi ilari.

Praticamente tutto quello che la maggioranza sa sono le stesse cose che trovi in Zuppa Romana.
