In realtà stando a spezzoni di interviste tradotte da giornaletti stampati su fazzoletti della mcdonald e scansionati su siti poco raccomandabili, il motivo per cui è ambientato in Italia è dovuto al fatto che Araki iniziò ad appassionarsi all'alta moda, specie Italiana, motivo dei costumi ai confini del buon gusto, mentre la parte della malavita è parte integrante di un tema di "tristezza" che gli è stato suggerito da suoi amici mentre cercava idee per una nuova serie. Giorno dovrebbe essere ispirato al David di Michelangelo, che è anche il motivo per il quale il suo personaggio è proprio gracile se lo paragoni a quelli delle parti precedenti.

Avendo letto il manga, e visto lo stile dei precedenti adattamenti (specialmente parte 4) non c'è ragione, ma questa volta ho fatto un'eccezione, anche perchè lo stile è molto più simile al manga. Non ricordo molto di parte 5 ed il fatto che ho dovuto leggerla in bianco e nero, pessima traduzione e scannerizzata in modo orribile, aiuta l'interesse.
In più voglio vedere che tipo di riferimenti all'italia inseriscono.

C'è gente che lo preferisce al fumetto, addirittura.
Piccola critica, in un episodio ci sono dei fanciulli che giocano a pallone, e nel fumetto indossano maglie dell'inter e di non ricordo che altra squadra, maglie che purtroppo non sono sopravvissute alla transizione sullo schermo (mi domando anche il perchè a dire il vero).

volevo affiggerla, ma i motori di ricerca non mi hanno molto aiutato.
però bello vedere che lo slavo acquattato sia abbastanza universale.
io personalmente non ne ho mai visto uno anche se ho avuto la non piacevolissima occasione di associarmi a diversi di loro.
