Dipende, se lo vedi in lingua originale è molto meglio. La parte "documentaria" è di una noia e di un falso (tutte le scene sono palesemente montate, in Germania arrestano anche gli imitatori comici se non preannunciano il loro intento), ma le parti coi monologhi sono abbastanza profonde, indirettamente direi, dato che l'intento del regista e dell'attore principale era quello di mostrare "la banalità del male e l'ignoranza dei poveracci" o qualche roba da sinistronzo lì, finendo invece per esprimersi nel modo contrario (specie la parte sul televisore, silenzio e commedie tedesche, quest'ultima veritiera in quanto il terzo reich ha inventato il concetto di Reality TV). Non ho idea del prodotto tradotto perchè non guardo quelle porcherie, gli unici doppiaggi Italiani cui sono ancora affezionato sono quelli delle serie anime anni novanta.

il consenso collettivo è che libri tipo mein kampf sono da bandire per due semplici ragioni, per nulla in conflitto l'una con l'altra.
da una parte,sono pieni di stronzate, risibili e grossolane quindi nemmeno vale la pena. dall'altra sono libri magici, o meglio stregati, e chi li legge diventa istantaneamente nazista con un desiderio insaziabile di paralumi e di saponette kosher.
chiaramente, questo non ha niente a che fare col fatto che (((qualcuno))) potrebbe avere la coda di paglia, e non è il santarellino che non ha mai fatto niente e magari se gli altri l'avevano sulle palle un motivo o due ci doveva essere.
tutto questo per dire che non ti dovresti stupire se la cosa finisce nel dimenticatoio.

A mio avviso Fascisti su Marte è un gran bel film. A un certo punto diventa lento e l'inesorabile mezz'ora di tristezza interiore in cui parlano dei (((mimmini))), se ricordo bene il loro nome, mi ha fatto totalmente scendere le palle.
Ma come dici tu ha colto in pieno molti aspetti del ventennio, senza contare la COSTANTE E VIRILMENTE FACISTISSIMA NARRAZIONE che a tratti cattura l'atmosfera in modo ideale. Un bel pezzo di satira.

Per quanto abbia letto. paradossalmente il libro è una versione romanzata del film, nel senso scritto con il protagonista molto più impavido e sprezzante e se non erro il film è stato girato apposta con un taglio più comico e "meta" perchè volevano far sembrare la stesura del libro più realistica (quindi con esagerazioni ed omissioni di parti imbarazzanti).
Un bel film però, l'originale. Mi sarei aspettato qualche cosa satirica da quattro soldi ma a parte il finale (che è interessante narrativamente ma fa perdere quell'alone di mistero sul reale passato del protagonista) è impressionante.

È simile all'originale tedesco (ma va?). Matano non è così insopportabile e le scene in cui mostrano il duce come k4ttyv0!!1!1! sono forse ancora più forzate che nell'originale.

L'italia era una normale monarchia, comandava il Re. Mussolini fu soltanto il suo incaricato al governo, dopo la sceneggiata napoletana del ritiro sull'aventino del parlamento. La decisione del Re di cestinarli fu legittima e nella sue facoltà. Parimenti, in seguito il Re sostituì Mussolini con Badoglio.
Non vi era una dittatura dell'esercito sui cittadini italiani. La natura violenta del regime è anch'essa una palla colossale, in quanto i morti anarchici e comunisti durante il ventennio si contano sulle dita di una mano, e sono in linea con la consueta battaglia dello Stato Italiano seguente contro l'eversione violenta. E la presunta, mostruosa, totalitaria presenza mediatica del regime nella vita civile, era qualcosa di molto meno invasivo del patriottismo all'americana.
