So I've had a great deal of interest in Islam for a long time, finding it to be much more "holy" as it were than the catholicism I was raised in. I attempted to convert while I was a teenager but my parents were very against it.

But now I'm dating a moroccan girl, and she wishes for me to convert so that we can marry.

So my question is, where do I even begin in such a journey? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you had the intention of converting you are Muslim, but you still need a shaddah to formalise it and to start practicing if you aren't already.

For the time being you should also leave the girl. I know its painful but you must become something greater, she will wait for you if she loves you and once you are satisfied with your spirituality you should speak to her father.
