Stopped at inraptured.com for the first time in a couple of years. There were no new members in over 2 years, Barely 5 new posts on the front page, and nothing recent in the forums. I tried to recover my password, which I'd forgotten, and never received the email. Is the site dead?

Yeah, unfortunately it's been declining over the years, especially after Maurice and 丨丂卂乃乇ㄥㄥ卂 ᐯ卂ㄥ乇几ㄒ丨几乇 split. People don't really use traditional forums like they used to (except maybe Likera.com); it's all Reddit and reddit these days

I remember the site falling apart (or crashing) about the time that Maurice and I.V. left. But then one of the other dommes (don't remember which one) stepped up to rebuild and moderate the site. That was over 10 years ago. Guess it never recovered.
