Alright you goddam cocksucking lala faggots, its that time again. A new update has come through, the modders are no where to be seen and there's work to be done. That means that its time for some good old
MOTIVATIONAL REDPOSTING
Since there's no one willing to pick up the slack to get these mods brought up to the current version, I'm gonna be dedicating the whole fucking day to getting things moving. My priorities are as follows:
1. Implement all our mods in the current version. This is probably gonna take me all day since I'm not the hardworking anon from the last thread and I have no idea what I'm doing. Still I'm gonna use pycharm and some of the techniques he thought to do this relatively quickly.
2. Start copypasting the girls' script into Laura so that she shows up more than once and you can actually interact with her. Its gonna be a lot of [not yet enabled] for a while since we're just largely lacking art assets, but I figure at the very least you can get into some heavy petting with her. We'll see what i can crock up, just know its not gonna be pretty yet.
3. Start adding in more locations, scenarios, and art assets for the main 3 girls. I talked in length about some ideas that I had in the previous thread, I'm gonna still monkey with expanding locations off-campus just to develop the game more. Odds are I'm not gonna get to this today, if at all.
So that's my plans, if there's any anons who are willing to spare some elbow grease there's always more work to be done.
If you have artistic talents or access to photoshop:
Go ahead and try adding more clothes or other things, the more content we make the better.
If you can code:
There's a metric buttfuck of bugs in this game still, if you know what you're looking at and can unfuck anything I screw up, I would appreciate it.
If you can do neither of those things but still wanna help:
1. Post your ideas and what you want to see added to the game, so at the very least we can get discussions going. A lot of whats been added up to this point is simply because we went out on a limb and spoke up, so don't be afraid to, no matter how degenerate.
2. Post any bugs you find, particularly if you're playing the modded version. This can help me and others identify problems with all the crap we're throwing at this dumpster fire.
Above all guys don't forget to SUPPORT THE MODDERS AND THE ARTFAGS. We have managed to double the content that's in the game in half the time it takes Oni to put out an update, there's no reason why we can't do it again.

You can pretty much do everything with her now. The modded version has some extra things with it. For instance, you can fuck in the other positions that the girls can, she just got a new tittyfuck animation, and there's some bondage stuff. In 981b however, you can fuck her but you stuck with the weird cowgirl position where her chest is separated from her torso. Choice is yours there.
Bit of a quick update, after pulling my head out of my ass and getting the modded version to work, I'm realizing that either X-23 has no content added beyond the handjob or she just doesn't show up all that much. In the modded version, X-23 is added like Mystique, using the newgirl class.
In order to "fully" add her you should copy most of the mystique files and rename mystique to laura and ch_m to ch_l.
Some parts that handle multiple girls will already work (because of previous shit added).
For the parts that won't work, you're gonna have to change what handles mystique to a loop, to loop through mystique and laura. You could also hardcode them, but that would go against the idea of the newgirl class.
Some parts you're gonna have to hardcode anyway.

Been thinking about what needs to be done and in my opinion the best option to start is getting the current 0.978e mods running on 0.981b, and the simplest and most effective method of achieving that goal is to take the differences between the vanilla versions and apply them to the mod. I'm going to go through every single file opening comparisons for before and after and then working from a before and after template of the mod, and I'm going to make the changes match. I'm going to start from the files in the root folder and work my way through the mod folders alphabetically.

Day 3 of being a fucktard, I've been monkeying around with trying to get Laura to show up after her scene. I changed all instances of her being on "mission" and "laura" (I assume this is for her room which doesn't exist yet) to "dangerroom" so that she's at the very least in one place. So far she hasn't popped up yet. I'm also running into this error when Emma comes in and tries to do her danger room scenario, I feel like this is some hold over from a few updates ago that just go forgotten about. Does anyone know what the fuck E_Boots was supposed to be? It sounds like a clothing image that got changed.

One thing I've found to make this a simpler process is to use Pycharm's ctrl+F function to locate all instances of one girl, then hit the "select all instances" button to change them all at once. Just don't do what I did and hit return thinking that would make it happen and accidentally fuck up 3,000 lines of code.

Alright update here:
Good news: I managed to get her chat functions working. Laura now appears in the dangerroom and classroom. I should of ironed out all the errors but post any you come across.
Bad news: You can't flirt with her, due to a lot of animations missing still. Obviously can't have sex and I'm sure there's a few other things that will lead to errors simply by not existing. Also, she sounds exactly like Kitty right now (Protip, for future girls don't use kitty for chat, her [k_petname] and [k_like] instances only make unnecessary work. There's still a ton of work to be done but I'm gonna go ahead and link what I have finished so far. I was supposed to go Christmas shopping an hour ago. Next steps are gonna be to get her L_flirt animations done and fix her dialogue, after that we should be able to do some limited sex animations. Then there's the big step of pulling all the changes out of this and putting them in 789e.

Alright so Im learning more about just how easy it is to create content for new girls based on what we have, the only limiting factor presently is art assets. If we can get a dedicated artfag to draw up easily modifiable paper doll pieces, theres essentially no limit to how many girls we can make.

Alright guys here's my contribution before I hit the sack: Hypothetically all of Laura's interactions should be open. She can do everything Kitty can do (possibly go on dates too) right up until sex and possibly a few other things. I haven't had a chance to trouble shoot this all yet so if you run into any bugs let me know. Her dialogue is identical to kitty's, thats just something I don't have time to comb through yet. I'll try and iron that out tomorrow.

when you look at the pic in >>63206 the code in the bat file in sublime is a command to run "sed" with instructions to look for a specific phrase in the "pattern space" shown between the forward slashes as "\ if CountWords \=\= 1\:" or " if CountWords == 1:" without the escape character backslashes, the first one being unnessicary because I was rusty and forgot to take it out and the others I cant remember because I'm rusty but I'm sure those are needed for the colon at least and then "read" "r" from a file screens-gag_code.txt into the "pattern space" and save it as another file I'm sure if -e was necessary in that instance but -i would be for editing the same file but I think I also ran into some trouble with writing to the same time multiple times when I was doing it before si I got used to making a new file, deleting the old one and renaming the new one to the old ones name
The problem is that it always reads from the file "screens-gag_code.txt" in this case, and "samplex.txt" for the other code in the other example so any time I want the code to be injected BEFORE I have to in some way delete the code
Sadly the best I can come up with right now is replacing the unique reference point with a custom unique marker and then pasting in the original code that was used as a reference point in the injection, sed is a bit of of old fashioned program clusterfuck for usability so the read function seems to be very stubborn in how it works

So because I just went ahead and copy-pasted all of kitty's .rpy's, it turns out I left her clothing options in there as well. However, instead of creating a error for picking a piece of clothing that doesn't exist, the game somehow just rolls with it and either pretends there's clothing where there isn't or strips Laura even more. Pic related shows that there are already some clothing options somewhere but somehow the two have become interwoven? I'll look into this further.

well this is the code that triggers the same issue for me call LauraFace("normal", 0)
show Laura_Sprite at SpriteLoc(L_SpriteLoc)
now it only triggers on show, so I'm assuming it's because it cant find something in the composite. Since the call is for "("normal", 0)" I assume every reference for "normal" under "label LauraFace" in Laura Animations needs to be present.
Since it's structured as "label LauraFace(Emote = L_Emote, B = L_Blush, M = 0, Mouth = 0, Eyes = 0, Brows = 0):" I assume emote is normal and blush is off and L_Mouth, L_Brows and L_Eyes need to be assigned. I checked and they seem to be assigned as well as blush.
Laura_Sprite, which the game crashes on when called is a mess of commented out lines I don't even want to look at right now. However by replacing "show Laura_Sprite at SpriteLoc(L_SpriteLoc)" with "show LauraFace at SpriteLoc(L_SpriteLoc)" the game is clear not working properly but does not crash as evident in pic related.
The problem is definitely in the Laura_Sprite composite and not the face.

Ok, I'm trying to remember what bug fixes went into this one, a lot of them are little tweaks here and there. I made some tweaks to the dating system so that it will warn you if you're wandering around in the evening while having a date to go to, and if the girl in question is in the room with you in the evening then she will tell you it's time to go. Have fun with that one.
Two content additions from c are that I changed the way dripping effects work, that should be fun to play with, and I changed the way dirty talk works during sex. Now all three girls you can toggle this option on and off (assuming you have the stats for it), and it should behave a bit more naturally, with less chance of a line not fitting the scene, and a better balance between primary and secondary girls. Let me know what you think. They do default to "off" right now, so you'll have to manually turn them on in the chat settings. I will probably default them to "on" in the next major version, but doing so right now would be a bit of a mess and not worth it (due to the way I update semi-permanent stats).

So I've been thinking about this a lot, and I remember that we had a discussion on this in the previous thread. Copy-pasta'ing the scripts isn't gonna be good enough cause it would make all four girls pull you into your room for the same scenario, essentially making the game unplayable. This is another case of Oni not having foresight to include the addiction in other girls, because at this point the whole addiction mechanic will have to be changed. So my ideas for addiction goes as follows. Bear in mind that I'm looking at it almost purely from a gameplay perspective, as the idea of drugs/mind control/forced sex doesn't really do anything for me. My primary issue with the current system is the pacing is bad. From a meta perspective, the way rogue works right now is, because she is simply too easy and can be coerced into sex within the first four days it takes five days for the addiction to first kick in that many of the options for the addiction are either unavailable because her obedience and inhibition are still too low, or when addiction hits again the sexual aspect is redundant because she's already doing most of the offers she's already doing freely. The interesting options she has is paying money for serum, which is a good source of income and drops her love stat if you need to. There's a few other issues as well, because it was implemented so early in the game and then never touched again, the addiction scenarios play out virtually isolated from Rogue's present status with you, meaning she will act out of character (for example, you're her "master" but she stomps out after refuse her). What this means is there would have to be different addiction scenarios for each girl for each stage of relationships available, possibly six or seven each if I'm remembering correctly. That right there is a metric-fuck ton of scripts, on top of what I would like to see.
Some other ideas:
>Public/Humiliation options to boost inhibition.
>Method of tracking how much money the girls have on them. If they run out they have to find work/some way to make more, completing the idea of addiction.
>visable signs of addiction apart from Rogue's "hungry" expression, such as shakes, nervousness, ect.
>Some means of resisting the girls if they try and force themselves on you to get their fix.
>More sexual options when the girls force themselves on you.
>Sexual favors for other girls (threesome options).
>items (clothes,books, toys) as compensation if they have no money.
Additionally I feel like there's potential for an over-reaching story arch concerning zero's powers.
>Addiction sets in and begins to change one/multiple girls, they begin to behave differently so others take notice.
>School faculty get suspicious of Zero, if they catch you using your powers inappropriately they force you to wear gloves when interacting with others, forcing you to be clandestine.
>Unaffected girls realize what you're doing and are slower to trust you or may go so far as protect the addicted ones from you.
I understand that this would bring in a lot of extra bullshit to the game but it might pose more of a challenge than fucking Rogue day 1. What do you think?

It established more stats that are needed, so you'd expect some sort of realistic progression with the girls. Instead, you can get them to strip for you completly even though they deny taking anything off in previous encounter. Ok, so new year, let's get some discussion going! The most recent version of the game, 0.981, introduced the new character Laura Kinney, or X-23. She only makes a cameo in this version, one scene, but it should give you a feel of how I'm handling the character and how she looks in general. My feel for the character is that she has a bit of a tomboyish side, physical and aggressive, but is also pretty chill. She talks in short, direct statements, she can be a bit more mellow than some of the other characters, she can be a bit more casual in some areas, but a bit more reserved in others.
I'd like to hear from you guys about what you think of what you've seen so far, and where you'd like to see her go in future updates. Obviously the goal is to get her up to speed with the other characters in terms of basic content, and the next patch should include at least some of her sexual and interaction options, but is there anything in particular that interests you? I have some ideas for alternate outfits, but any that are must-have? I'm currently planning to have a jacket and miniskirt, at least.
Btw, I've noticed that there seems to be a fairly stiff drop-off in pledges this month, hopefully most of that due to the various Patreon drama going around than to anything specific on my part. I can weather this better than some creators out there, but I really appreciate that so many of you so loyally support me and this project. He's not just negating other mutant's power with his touch it also has some sort of addictive quality. Here's a shot of one of Laura's new outfits. It's loosely based on a few of her older pieces, with some alterations. I do want to add some stockings to the final version though, seems a bit bare.

Having an issue in build version 0.981f. This is the first time version of the game I've played so I don't know if maybe things just haven't been implemented yet, but I can't seem to initiate anything with Emma. There's no "Flirt" option for her and waiting until after class and locking the door doesn't do anything either - when I try to access the sex menu she'll just say her usual "not with a student". Even using the console to max out her love/lust/obedience/whatever has no effect, she'll still just say the canned Nuh-uh responses. What do?
