Rogue-Like Update 07/16/2018

Ok, been a while since I did a general update, since I've been focused on new variations on version 0.979 over the past few weeks. The good news is, I think version 0.979f looks pretty stable, so anyone who's been waiting patiently, go for it, that'll be the last build for a while as I move on to working seriously on version 0.980.

So what will that next version include? Well, in terms of art and animation, I've been working on Emma's sex pose, and her titjob sequence, which I'll get you a preview of in the coming weeks. I also hope to finish up some of the minor artwork tweaks, like getting her "wet hair look" finished for her BJ pose.

On the story front, I've spent much of the last week (and still need some more time) completely rebuilding the "date" feature. A lot of the content will be similar to what was there, but much more flexible, with the addition of the ability to go on a double date, and for both girls to potentially get involved (for better or worse). It also adds the potential to more easily slot in other dating locations, although I don't have any immediate plans to do so.

I also need to go through and finish up some of Emma's social interaction elements, which will open her up to full lesbian/threesome interactions, full romance scenes, and more public sex options, so it should be a pretty big patch for Emma fans. I'd also like to include some more dialog-based flirting for all the girls.

And depending on how long it takes me to finish that up, there's a certain new challenger I'd like to tease, although don't expect anything too substantial with her in the first pass.

Anyway, keep the questions and comments coming, and I hope to give some more progress updates as I work through these elements, thanks for your support so far and I hope to earn it in the future. ;)

also I want to mention that given enough time I could probably figure out a way to implement the mods without creating conflicts with other mods. All I need to figure out is a series of commands for programs that would extract the .rpy files, add lines at certain points if the lines don't already exist, and then copy the resulting altered file to the game directory, or if the file is already in the game directory edit that one to add the lines needed if they don't already exist. I've done that sort of thing on linux automating some scripts.

Emma is a relatively easy one, her addiciton could influence her teaching, making her distracted during class. She'd probably approach Zero after class or lock him in the classroom.

Kitty is a different story, however. She can catch Zero anywhere and shed probably be more aggressive or stand-offish with him too. Id expect she wouldnt be as easy to manipulate as zero and may even use force against him to get her fix.

Honestly I've grown to dislike how rogue interacts with you when shes addicted. You can tell when she bursts in that Oni hasnt touched that piece of code in over a year. It also doesnt take into account your standing stats with her, meaning she'll be prudish when inhibition is high and obstinent even when obedience is high. I say we use this point to overhaul the entore addiction system.

here you go man, put this .bat file in the game folder with the Rogue_SDialog.rpy and run it to inject the code, it will even tell you when it's done or if it cancels because it's already there. It's kinda sloppy work but it will fix the problem at least until the next version is released.

I havn't begun on any changes to their code at all but it shouldn't matter so long as we both keep notes on what we changed we should be able to easily combine our work.

found a command that looks a little like this

the code looks for a line with "Slap her ass" and copies everything through to a line with "jump R_Missionary_Sex_Cycle"

there are 3 instances within the file that should come up but I'm only getting one result right now.

But what's really useful about this is I can set a start and stop point for the missionary code, have it extracted from Kitty_Animations to an output.rpy file, edit it to match the rogue code with some sed replacer code like the missionary file and then inject it directly into a point in the Rogue_Animations

Unfortunately I'm gonna be busy the next few days with work, friends and giving someone a ride to an appointment so I doubt there will be any results till wednesday
