How did it happen? Probably because they were a pay site which were blatantly using intellectual property of at least two major corporations. It was only a matter of time before something like that comes to their attention.
Go low, better yet, make the stuff out of enjoyment and not monetize it, that's probably where they got in trouble with. Fan art is one thing, profiting from IP's is another.

Well Fixxxer used to have other places to post their work and they stopped once they really got Teasecomix going. Ideally the things that the people working at Teasecomix can't keep posting on the site due to the new rules will get posted to those mediums again. Even if they aren't continued I wouldn't mind you know actually getting them. Especially seeing how signing up for a membership now won't be of any use.
