ITT we discuss the means through which Kickstarter backers of Yooka Laylee can get a refund from Playtonic or Kickstarter.
In light of Playtonic's less than stellar way of dealing with any issues that Jon Tron may or may not have raised outside of Playtonic's control, many kickstarter backers have been enquiring how to get their money back. Forums are being shut down and discussion is being quashed due to the consumer/backer backlash and funder's questions have either been ignored or simply ridiculed.
This thread will be used a source from which information can be spread to the backers before it is too late. This thread will also be used to plan courses of action for such backers to take.

Could anons please deposit archives of Playtronic or Yooka Laylee's Community managers' SNAFUs for distribution.
The general course of action for backers is as follows
1) Contact Playtonic of a refund.(ensure archive of answer)
2) Contact Kickstarter requesting a refund (ensure archive of answer of refund not supplied)
3)Notify the FTC giving them a copy of refund requests as well as the answers from BOTH the companies. (Ask FTC for advice as for a further course of action?)

It seems that the only way people are able to get refunds is if they request it through their bank. This is not acceptable because Playtonic are shirking their responsibilities concerning their backers.

Chargeback. The magic word that keeps popping up seems to be, chargeback. From what I understand if someone does do a chargeback they might get banned from kickstarter. Which imo seems to be a win win situation. :^)

I mentioned the FTC option over at the /v/ thread. I'm still not quite sure if it will help, and I'll be upfront that the only dog I have in this fight is about consumer rights and protection. There is one or two anon that is trying very hard to argue that the FTC option is completely wrong.
Which only leads me to believe the FTC option should not be discarded and warrants further inquiry.
