Good idea. Also, what an opportunity for anyone doing a thesis or masters in sociology or psychology to examine researcher bias and it's consequential effects. Funders of DiGRA ought to be made aware of the slanted research and actions of the members as well as the applicable University Administrations.

I also did not recommend seeking help from academia, but merely to inform them. DiGRA operates best when they are working behind the scenes and plotting in the collective narcissistic way that they do, see some of their meeting notes for example. Out in the open, people start asking questions like why is this relevant and what safeguards are in place to insure scientific credibility, who is paying for this shit etc…
They waste money and have aims at subversion.

digra doesn't have any money to give anyone kickbacks. The only money digra gets is from membership fees that are spend on running the organization.

This is what happened. His department head used it to get him removed from the program despite it not affecting his role as a student and aid.
Either way he is currently in the application process for a program that he believes he will enjoy more.

digra is literally not funded by anything but membership fees.
the reason why people think darpa has anything to do with digra is because the Immerse project at UC Santa Cruz is funded by Darpa. UC Santa Cruz had a job opening that was posted on the digra site (along with 200+ other jobs). Someone with poor literacy skills saw that job opening came to the conclusion that Digra is literally funded by DARPA.
Then they made some picture complete with random ron paul picture…

that really just sum's a lot of this up, by which I mean I thought he might know something and he didn't and the only reason is because there was a time when we couldn't really talk to him, for all we know the connection's with all the other's is nothing (not saying digra itself isn't bad), if we could all just communicate this could all go a lot smother. on reddit there are still page's about unethical behaviour by media but rarely can we talk to journalist's or the people involved about this.
there have been 2 bbc journalist's who have come to kia to talk, the first went by Jatinder5ingh for bbc3 who was annoyed that the story on gamergate was so one sided and was willing to listen and then there was davelee_bbc for bbc North America was was more interested in talking about Zoe Quinn than he was ethics.
if there is anyone form kia looking at this (because i'm not on social media) like netscape9 or sixtyfour I want you to try something, every time there is a post about ethics (especially if it's deepfreeze) or something about the bbc tag (or whatever you call it) Jatinder5ingh and davelee_bbc into the conversation. I don't trust dave lee as much but frankly I want to see which one will try and represent the bbc best, and we will finally get to talk ethics with people representing the bbc, and maybe we can even get to talking with more bbc journalist's if they try and recommend us to people in there department's, but ultimately I just want to get us talking to each other.

Based on Derek Smart's experiences in DiGRA, I seriously doubt their annual fees are enough to sustain such a far-reaching org. I'm guessing they have big sponsors in the background.
