Yes and no. Many of them think that after the glut of 8bit and 16bit shit tittles they're going to make money hand over fist. Reality is the indie market is currently in a crash just like the VG crash of the 80's. It'll likely speed up since the world economy is starting to slide into the shitter. Something to keep in mind a lot of the indie-devs that push garbage are trying to market it to two groups of people: Either those that don't really play games, or rich hipsters. Both are extremely small markets and the first group very often doesn't actually earn any money.
We'll see where we are come October but I expect the situation to be worse. For anyone curious there is a correlation between venture capitalists, indie devs and market growth.
