It has become regularly obvious that many people feel tired and uninterested in gamergate lately, mainly because of the slowness, if not stillness of the activism it might imply.
Sending emails doesn't seem to cut it for them anymore; aside from not being enough, it looks as if it doesn't get anyone as fired up or involved as before.
I BELIEVE IT COMES FROM A LACK OF ACTIVE POPULATION
Twitter drama is retarded, and sadly it is the only source of activity in the quietest days of the tag. Faggots like ralph keep using it even to shit on it or in hopes that they will finally receive attention, when they deserve both contempt and spit.
An efficient solution would be to reassemble and discuss your hopes, disappointment or joys. It is about what has been accomplished and what needs to be done to ensure gamergate does end.
For what our opposition doesn't seem to gather, is that all of us would love for this ordeal to finally end; but it cannot until the complete system we are going through doesn't get fixed and cured from ideologues, pseudo-intellectuals and narcissistic sociopaths.

We can dig and present material, but we can't make the legions of normalfags who nominally agree with us care unless they want to. I'm at a loss as to how to get them fired up again. That was the biggest source of our numbers. People followed the tag, checked into the hubs, and participated in anything juicy. Repeat.
Now they don't follow the tag, most anons aren't even on Twitter to boost our reach anymore, and there's rarely anything juicy to go after. #GG's ideals went viral in gamer culture more than a year ago, which is awesome, but without a core network to coordinate through things wil go back to pre-GAD levels of "nobody sees what the fuck is going on." And when the next wave comes, it'll be too late.

I think the issue is, tons of people do care, but only on social media these days. KiA is pretty much useless and riddled with goons and false flaggers, and 8chan got its numbers much lower because of the bugs (I'd actually advise trying to bring back previous users who left or stopped visiting/posting as regularly by mentioning how it now works perfectly again).

i think one of the main problems is that most don't see a visible path to take, or rather, there is no concrete game plan. most go for the gamergate hashtag probably because it's the most well known and accessible ways of giving support.
i think some sort of plan/list of goals needs to be posted. not just here but on other main gg hubs, like kia and twitter. that way, even if the normal supporters are resigned to their "easy" activism, it can potentially be directed towards something more useful.
also, even though it may fail miserably, perhaps we can make a good centralized hub? not like kia or anything but rather a place where various forms of material can be posted while perhaps also branching out into more generalized topics. -
forums alone i dont think are enough. basically, so far we have relied primarily on just forums to congregate. however, traffic will stagnate without new content. gamergate is a reaction to poor journalism and sjw politics invading gaming. as a result, when there isnt a new "story" coming up, activity may slow down.
perhaps this "hub" then can also be for articles, game development, etc. while maintaining the principles of gamergate as its backbone. in this way it may have the potential to bring in more people willing to stay as well as move away from being a pure reactionary movement to one that also creates exemplar material. i hope that generally makes sense

Here's the deal: Gamergate has to be about video games in some way. That way can be looser, like attacks on Gawker, Buzzfeed, and Vox (who all have gaming outlets that align with that outrage crowd and the main sites themselves attack gaming) or through more focused, like VG247 directly. Either is fine because you do have outlets actively attacking gamers, tech, nerd culture at large, and it will always comes back to video games. This is important because it helps prevent from stretching ourselves too thin and, most importantly, helps avoid internal cancer. You remember what the "Plus" in shit like Atheism+ was? It wasn't "social justice," it was Atheism plus different, irrelevant issues. Those issues happened to be SOCJUS but they didn't need to be, it could have been anything. Cancer is not only from one political side, it's from any extreme fringe setting root. Among people who come for "plus different, irrelevant issues" you will have people that will say those issues matter more, that those issues are what should be focused on. Suddenly the topic shifts away from the original subject - Atheism there, gaming here - and you get a broken pile of shit.
A similar thing happened to Occupy too: they lost the core message in favor of the other, irrelevant bullshit. When wealth inequality became second to internal politics, feeling safe, and with bureaucratic chains of command, the flip in priorities killed it.
You need vidya to stay rooted and not fall for the same traps. Case and point: how many burnouts and people who try to ruin OPs play video games?
Why do the grumpiest people who fuck with every good idea happen to be people who never talk about games they love?
