>The New York Post reports that Hulk Hogan has filed another lawsuit against Gawker Media after the $140 million legal victory he received in the first suit. This time he’s suing over Gawker allegedly leaking sealed court documents to The National Enquirer which had him making racist remarks.
>The lawsuit states that after the racist comments leaked, Hogan’s “income was cut off, his legacy in entertainment was severely damaged (if not completely destroyed), and his global brand was forever tarnished.”
>Hogan claims that it was Gawker who sent the transcript, even though it was filed under seal as part of their lawsuit over a sex tape with Heather Clem (the wife of Bubba the Love Sponge). The lawsuit claimed that “Gawker had been threatening to release publicly for months.” Gawker CEO Nick Denton wrote a blog entry stating that Hogan’s “real secret” would be revealed around the same time as the Enquirer posted the information online. Minutes after the leak, Gawker editor AJ Daulerio tweeted to Hogan with “XOXOXO” and a link to the Enquirer after the article. Hogan later admitted he made the racist comments and apologized.
>Hogan is also suing several Florida residents, including DJ Mike “Cowhead” Calta, for sending at least one of his sex tapes to Gawker. Police decided not to file criminal charges against Calta and others. Gawker is currently appealing Hogan’s $140 million victory over the first sex tape and denied that it leaked the transcript to the tabloid. It’s unknown how much money Hogan is suing for.

Shocked he's doing it but it makes sense.
1. It was obvious to everyone Gawker leaked the audio tape specifically as retaliation to harm Hulk and while no hard proof of it was ever dug up at trial, even the judge could tell Gawker was to blame given how the judge basically said, if they found proof at trial they leaked the audio, that Gawker would forfeit any right to a jury trial and it would go straight to summary judgement, in terms of the Judge stopping the trial and passing sentence on Gawker then and there.
Also, this is a great way to make it impossible for Gawker to stall the fuck for time, as far as milking the appeals process for as long as they can until they shore up their war chest to survive the financial hit from the first trial. This makes it harder to get sugar daddies to look twice at Gawker as far as wanting to invest in them.

Hogan doing this is smart since he's adding yet another layer to his case and more discovery against Gawker. Even if the first one is successfully appealed and remanded to do another trial, he'll have more evidence gathered from this trial and he'll get to burn their warchests even more.

While I support what Thiel did he isn't one of the "good gays" as you call him. I don't know if he is full SJW but he has an agenda and this is part of his agenda. His hypocracy of shutting down Paypal in North Carolina because of the bathroom law while still operating Paypal in the Middle East where gays are executed shows his true colors and belief in the Progressive Stack, where Muslims are more protected than gays in the West.
