Asians are Schrödinger's Minority: depending on what best serves the SJW's needs at the time, they're either another suppressed minority whose history and culture must be respected, or not different enough from Caucasians to count as diverse. So because of that, pokémon trainers look white to SJW, which means they obviously are, which means they feel justified in using the "why dragons but not black people" argument. Nevermind the mainline games set in an America equivalent had plenty of black people. Nevermind the ones after those took place in Pokéfrance and DID offer the possibility to play as a black person. Gotta keep the complaint train rolling, and facts are oppressive.

you can be a black male or female in Pokemon XY, mainly because it's the first pokemon game where you can customize your trainer AT ALL beyond the gender choice. And they took that out in ORAS.
