I want to understand if anyone browsing this board has actually achieved some kind of occult power.
Or is it all an interesting larp?
Ive read countless esoteric texts, introduction to magic by evola, tons of tantric, kabbalistic, Hermetic order of the golden dawn stuff etc.
Ive never truly passed the threshold of armchair magician though. I have very little practical experience. Sometimes, I wonder if its all a larp and cope, or perhaps autosuggestion.
God, I wish I knew for certain what its all about, and what our place in the grand scheme is.
Has anyone truly experienced something which makes these doubts seem ridiculous?

I don't know. I have some weird sensations on my body that feel weird thanks to meditation and I can astral project if try hard enough. In every other department I'm also in the armchair position. I actually used to discredit a lot because people seemed like bullshitters who overindulge in psychological effects and whenever I saw an "occultist" it was some old, bald, fat man with glasses or tattoo-covered junkie with mental issues. Browsing /x/ and /fringe/ opened up my perspectives so I'm not as dismissive as before but I'm still burned from all the freaks and big mouths I've seen.

its real. its often very subtle. you are not just gonna have a pot of gold magically appear on your doorsteps. your deeply seeded doubts may actually be the cause of your lack of success. 100% belief is one of the key components.
also you need to be doing the work to build your temple first and foremost. eat healthy, excersize, meditate and yoga ect…. i think people who are raised in religious house holds have more success. if you live your whole life believing in god/higher power its easier to accept that yes god is real and magic is real, but authoritative power structures have subverted the truth from getting to the masses for 2000+ years.
its harder to accept that if you are coming from a position like athiesm/agnosticism and then transitioning to magical practice and thought.

I did a sigil to drive away enemies. Two weeks later one of my neighbors moved.
Aside from that it's just normal paranormal stuff. Premonition dreams, intuition, bump in the night things. If you have no awareness outside of physical existence your likely an npc.

I saw a bird appear and disappear, almost out of thin air, when I asked for an angel to manifest physically. It was behind objects, but there was no way a bird could even get there without me seeing it, or just flying away with me seeing it.
The angels said that it would be bad if they did something too drastic like a human form appeared inside my house.

I meditated and observed my room in my imagination. I saw this woman at the foot of my bed. She was extremely ugly and was hunched over. I talked to her and she told me all kinds of stuff. She said she manipulated reality to help me.
She didn't really do much else except act as my alarm clock (she woke me up at specific times) for a long time when, one time, I saw that my sister had a much faster laptop than I did. I wanted my sister's laptop.
At another visit to the woman, she was mostly silent and didn't talk, but immediately after that, I got my sister's laptop. She just gave it to me.

Honestly it makes no sense to speak of them as beings, since they are just ideas. Interfaces to your deeper psyche.

That’s not really important. The dead are lingering information. What these people interacted with are discarded etheric bodies, nephesh, which slowly decay and disappear over time. Ancestor worship feeds these personalities and sustains them, but there is not a soul inside them, as it were. That moved on shortly after death.
I don’t know if you’re familiar with the process of dying, but spirits (egregores and various types of thoughtforms, really) would be akin to the ruach or astral (emotional) body.
Be it etheric or astral, these things respond to you giving them energy. This is what theurgy is. They have a character, a set of responses, but they don’t have free will (in the case of dead in transition they still might).
