Devise a ritual with intent to get him out of your life. Curses are more trouble than they're worth, but a criminal's karma will be his own undoing when given a push. I don't know anything substantial other than something like this:
>purify your mind, body, and thoughts with the "Phat" Mantra. If you're not familiar with it, simply take a full, deep breath, stomp your foot, and yell out "P-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" in one motion. You can imagine doing this this and have the same effect, just in case you're in a complex that doesn't like noisy neighbors.
>meditate to clear your thoughts, pray to whomever feels like the best for clearing your mind and writing magical intent.
>Optionally: light up some incense in a flavor that feels right for this, the deity that chose to help you out with this will let you know.
While your thoughts are clear, write down your intent, something like this:
"(Asshole) will exit my life. By the will of (Deity), (Asshole), the man who I had revered as a friend, who betrayed my trust, will leave my life permanently,"
Obviously, substitute names as appropriate. Be as forceful in your words, be matter of fact, write it like it will fucking happen, because it will happen.
Once you're done writing, burn the paper, doesn't matter where, but in something fireproof, obviously. Thank your deity, and ask them what else they would like as a gesture of thanks. Keep in mind, don't follow any requests that ask your blood: that's a low-level spirit imitating them and looking to drink your vital energy.
After everything is done, purify yourself and your working area.
With the ritual done. try to find something fun to do so you can let the magic take its course, lust for results will otherwise taint the intent. In my experience with things like this, you should eventually learn of something happening to him that shows how he's out of your life.
May Mother Kali and Father Shiva guide you well, friend.
