Journalists Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger are testifying before the House Judiciary Committee's Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government today. Both journalists were involved in the 'Twitter Files' disclosures, in which we learned that the government was directly involved in censoring disfavorable speech.

"Our findings are shocking," writes Shellenberger at his blog. "A highly-organized network of U.S. government agencies and government contractors has been creating blacklists and pressuring social media companies to censor Americans, often without them knowing it."

Ahead of the appearance, Taibbi released his prepared remarks. He also dropped a new and related Twitter Files mega-thread on 'THE CENSORSHIP-INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX' which will be submitted to the Congressional record which, according to Taibbi, 'contains some surprises.'

But Twitter was more like a partner to government. With other tech firms it held a regular “industry meeting” with FBI and DHS, and developed a formal system for receiving thousands of content reports from every corner of government: HHS, Treasury, NSA, even local police.

Emails from the FBI, DHS and other agencies often came with spreadsheets of hundreds or thousands of account names for review. Often, these would be deleted soon after.

Then we saw "disinfo" lists where evidence was even less clear. This list of 378 “Iranian State Linked Accounts” includes an Iraq vet once arrested for blogging about the war, a former Chicago Sun-Times reporter and Truthout, a site that publishes Noam Chomsky.

We came to think of this grouping – state agencies like DHS, FBI, or the Global Engagement Center (GEC), along with “NGOs that aren’t academic” and an unexpectedly aggressive partner, commercial news media – as the Censorship-Industrial Complex.

Who’s in the Censorship-Industrial Complex? Twitter in 2020 helpfully compiled a list for a working group set up in 2020. The National Endowment for Democracy, the Atlantic Council’s DFRLab, and Hamilton 68’s creator, the Alliance for Securing Democracy, are key.

As one might expect, the Judiciary hearing on the "weaponization" of federal agencies, featuring Matt Taibbi and Michael Shellenberger as witnesses was full of fireworks, facts, and ad hominem friction.

Out of the gate, Ranking Member Democratic Del. Stacey E. Plaskett labeled the two "so-called journalists" as dangerous and a "threat" to former Twitter employees.

Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, had a simple response to her accusations:

“It’s crazy what you were just saying.”

“You don’t want people to see what happened,” Jordan continued.

The American Community Survey (ACS), sent to about 3.5 million homes every year, is the byproduct of a government that believes it has the right to know all of your personal business.

If you haven’t already received an ACS, it’s just a matter of time.

A far cry from the traditional census, which is limited to ascertaining the number of persons living in each dwelling, their ages and ethnicities, the ownership of the dwelling and telephone numbers, the ACS contains some of the most detailed and intrusive questions ever put forth in a census questionnaire.

At 28 pages (with an additional 16-page instruction packet), these questions concern matters that the government simply has no business knowing, including questions relating to respondents’ bathing habits, home utility costs, fertility, marital history, work commute, mortgage, and health insurance, among other highly personal and private matters.

For instance, the ACS asks how many persons live in your home, along with their names and detailed information about them such as their relationship to you, marital status, race and their physical, mental and emotional problems, etc. The survey also asks how many bedrooms and bathrooms you have in your house, along with the fuel used to heat your home, the cost of electricity, what type of mortgage you have and monthly mortgage payments, property taxes and so on.

The survey demands to know how many days you were sick last year, how many automobiles you own and the number of miles driven, whether you have trouble getting up the stairs, and what time you leave for work every morning, along with highly detailed inquiries about your financial affairs. And the survey demands that you violate the privacy of others by supplying the names and addresses of your friends, relatives and employer.

The questionnaire also demands that you give other information on the people in your home, such as their educational levels, how many years of school were completed, what languages they speak and when they last worked at a job, among other things.

Beyond Third World: Democrat Bill In Baltimore Would Drop Felony Charges For MURDER

As if violent crime in the cities of America is not systemic enough… Democrats in Baltimore, Maryland have introduced a bill that would prevent anyone under the age of 25 from facing first-degree murder charges in certain circumstances.

The legislation, House Bill 1180, was introduced by Democratic Delegate Charlotte Crutchfield, who hilariously calls it the 'Youth Accountability and Safety Act.'

The bill, which is working its way through the House, has faced significant pushback from conservatives.

"It would be absolutely outrageous and result in more crime," said law enforcement expert Maury Richards, former Chief of Police of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Fox5 Baltimore reports. "Last year, with Senator Carter's Juvenile Justice Reform Act, it really opened the floodgates. There is a crime wave of violence going on right now, but instead of the legislator debating to rescind that, we're hung up on whether 25-year-olds should be charged with murder."

"They know the difference between right and wrong. They're just not being held accountable and they don't care about right or wrong," said Folden.

And according to GOP Delegate Susan McComas of Hartford County, "This bill is the definition of insanity. We are going to legalize murder as long as people are under 25. Outrageous."

Even Democratic Delegate Carl Jackson of Baltimore County thinks it's absurd. "I believe that accountability must be at the center of any discussion regarding the criminal justice system," he said.

Moody's Demotes US Banking System After Recent Banking Bailouts, Insolvent Deteriorating Environment

Prior to the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Moody’s Investors Service rated the United States banking system as “stable.” Since that time, Moody’s has downgraded American banks to “negative” status, citing a “rapidly deteriorating operating environment.”

Despite regulators’ “best efforts to shore up the industry,” to quote CNBC‘s Jeff Cox, America’s financial foundation is crumbling – which is no surprise seeing as how it was always a Ponzi scheme house of cards built on deception and bad faith.

One of the “big three” rating services, Moody’s is setting the stage for the final and inevitable collapse of America’s banking sector. One might even say that the banking sector has already collapsed, even though the powers that be are still hiding the wreckage from public view as much as possible.

“We have changed to negative from stable our outlook on the U.S. banking system to reflect the rapid deterioration in the operating environment following deposit runs at Silicon Valley Bank (SVB), Silvergate Bank, and Signature Bank (SNY) and the failures of SVB and SNY,” Moody’s said in a report.

The announcement from Moody’s came after the entity warned that it was either going to downgrade or recommend downgrading some seven institutions thus far. In addition to SVB, SNY, and Silvergate, other institutions that are under review for potential downgrades include First Republic, Intrust Financial, UMB, Zions Bancorp, Western Alliance, and Comerica.

There are likely many more banks with massive unrealized losses that are also on the hook since they purchased Treasury bonds and other government debt when interest rates were near-zero. Since that time, the Federal Reserve’s Jerome Powell has progressively hiked rates, sending the value of these bank bonds into a downward tailspin.

“Banks with substantial unrealized securities losses and with non-retail and uninsured U.S. depositors may still be more sensitive to depositor competition or ultimate flight, with adverse effects on funding, liquidity, earnings and capital,” Moody’s report further warns.

Despite this downgrading and the canary in the coal mine that it represents, numerous bank stocks rose this week. This is because the Wall Street casino is now completely detached from reality – and has been detached from reality for many, many years.

Even though the United States technically entered a recession last year using standard metrics and methodology, the Biden regime changed the definition of recession to exclude the current economic crisis. Moody’s estimates that a “recession” according to Biden will hit the country later this year.

“Biden may not know it yet, but he is a designated fall guy for bankers,” one Natural News commenter suggested.

Federal Reserve To Print Another $2 Trillion To Bailout Corrupt Insolvent Stooges, Further Devaluing Dollar

To save the criminal bankers, the private Federal Reserve is expected to inject another $2 trillion into the United States banking system, which is certain to trigger hyperinflation.

Strategists at JPMorgan Chase, one of America’s kingpin banks, have been discussing what the Fed’s new “emergency” lending program will entail now that Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) and numerous other lenders have gone under.

Called the Bank Term Funding Program, this emergency mechanism is designed to sweep under the rug all the financial corruption that got us into this mess in the first place, punishing the common man with even higher inflation and a lower standard of living.

“The usage of the Fed’s Bank Term Funding Program is likely to be big,” JPMorgan strategists wrote in a client note on Wednesday.

The reason why these JPMorgan analysts are throwing out the $2 trillion figure is because that is the maximum usage amount that was established – at least until the powers that be decide to up it even more, much like they do to the debt ceiling every time it is reached.

Currently, the U.S. banking system as a whole is said to hold reserves of around $3 trillion, most of which is held by the largest banks. Smaller banks, many of them in even worse shape than the big guys, are the likeliest candidates to take advantage of the Bank Term Funding Program.

SVB was considered a mid-sized bank, as were the other banks we were told about that collapsed around the same time. SVB took a $1.8 billion loss on a forced $21 billion bond liquidation, which prompted the now-failed bank to ask for $2.25 billion in new capital to fill the gap.

As this was all taking place, depositors rushed to withdraw their money, which we now know preceded the total collapse of SVB. And without emergency new cash from the Fed, many other banks will, and likely already would have, followed suit.

“Unrealized losses on securities have meaningfully reduced the reported equity capital of the banking industry,” said Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) chair Martin Gruenberg, who further warned that U.S. banks are collectively sitting on unrealized losses on their bond holdings of around $620 billion.

Unrealized losses of this magnitude weaken the ability of all affected banks to meet their liquidity needs because less cash is generated when the sale occurs, typically because the amount of regulatory capital falls below required thresholds.

Despite all this, Gruenberg wants everyone to still believe that America’s banks are “generally in a strong financial condition and have not been forced to realize losses by selling depreciated securities.”

At some point, though, these banks are going to have to realize those losses – or at least they should have to realize those losses. If the Fed continues to inject emergency liquidity into their balance sheets, these banks will artificially survive for a little while longer while Americans are forced to pick up the tab.

Canadian Government Admits Contacting Social Media Companies To Censor Online User Content

According to the data provided by the federal government, Health Canada contacted Facebook at least three times to demand the removal of posts with 'disinformation about lifting of COVID-19 restrictions.'

The admissions were made in an order paper reply to a question posed by Conservative MP for Niagara, Dean Allison.

Though required by the inquiry to provide details of the social media take-down requests by the heavily subsidized state broadcaster, CBC did not offer any information about the nature, authors and topics of the social media content it targeted for censorship. However, scant details were provided by other federal agencies.

NPR Throws Giant Tantrum After Labled State-affiliated Media, Quits Twitter

National Public Radio (NPR) announced on Wednesday that it will stop using Twitter, and will "no longer post fresh content to its 52 official Twitter feeds," as the first major State-run news organization to go quiet on the social media platform.

The move comes after Twitter CEO Elon Musk labeled NPR "state-affiliated media," and then changed it to "government funded" over the weekend.

Last week, Twitter slapped 'state affiliated media' (or similar) labels on several outlets, including the BBC.

Of course, NPR doesn't have the balls to actually nuke their account - which will still allow people to click all of their existing content.

NPR claims to be "the first major news organization to go silent" (LOL) despite the dozens of other news outlets and users being censored and banned off the platform for the last 10 years. Every other major news organization is repeating this propaganda at once, many using the same language, making it seem coordinated.

As Summit News noted last week, in 2020 Twitter made the move to label many accounts, including Russian media outlets RT and Sputnik, as well as reporters working for them as ‘state-affiliated media’, and said it would prevent tweets from those accounts appearing on the home screen, in notifications, or in searches.

Twitter claimed it was doing this “to make the experience more transparent,” adding that “we don’t let state-affiliated media accounts advertise on Twitter. We’ll also no longer include them or their Tweets in recommendations, as we continue to support a free and independent press.”

So the question is, does NPR push an agenda and ideology influenced by the state, including governmental narratives?

War On America's Food Supply Chain Continues As Explosion Kills 18,000 Cows In Texas

This is what a Swedish Riksbank official called creating money out of thin air.

By 2030, debt could be as high as $3 quadrillion. This assumes that the quasi debt of global derivatives of $2 – $2.5 quadrillion has been “rescued” by central banks in order to stop the financial system from imploding.

The bank failures in mid-March starting with Silicon Valley Bank were just a warning shot. Banks need high rates and a reduction in the loan portfolio to survive. But borrowers, both commercial and private, need lower rates and more credit to survive.

This is a dilemma without solution. It will end up with both sides losing. Borrowers will default and banks will go bankrupt.

Before that there will be the biggest debt feast in the history of the world. It requires no skill, no assets, no security to create the quadrillions of dollars which will temporarily defer the problem. All that is needed is a bit more finger-snapping before the whole insolvent corrupt system collapses.

I've been posting on endchan /news/ and 8kun /pnd/ recently, both which are about dead and very little else gets posted. I decided to post my End Times News updates over the /qresearch/ chat boards too, because face it, that's the only way my news will ever be seen at this point. The image board era is over, next to no one comes to these sites anymore and that is a bit depressing but I knew it was destined to happen. 4chan is dog shit, owned by spooks and gatekeepers so forget that. Honestly I don't really know why I keep posting news on these places anymore, I guess it is a way to kill time before we all die after a nuclear world war brings us back to the stone ages. As for my drinking, yah it's killing me but I don't care anymore, these are the End Times, Jesus is going to return after the nuclear fallout, and those who are saved will be with Him and those who are not eternally damned!
